Rainy Day Spider Solitaire HD Tips & Tricks
The object of Rainy Day Spider Solitaire is to clear all of the cards from the Foundation. In order to remove cards from the Foundation, they must be arranged in a sequentially suited manner, from King through Ace. Kings are high, and Aces are low – you cannot play a King on any other card, and an Ace may only be played on a two. In the case of an open slot in the Foundation, *any* card (or set of cards) may be used to fill it.
If you are attempting to rank out in Spider Solitaire, it is best to learn how to consistently win on Hard. First, master the game on medium so you know how to move the different suits around.
When playing on medium or hard:
You can put a 5 of one suit on top of 6 of another, you just can’t move them both together unless they’re the same suit.
For hard level:
Start by pressing new game until you see that you can make several moves on the board so that you will be able to start uncovering some face-down cards. If you start uncovering two of the exact same card (say, two Jacks of Clubs), you may want to press new game as that is difficult to recover from at the beginning. Stack your cards up on each column as far as you can, even if they are all different suits. Try to open up a free column if at all possible, and always use the free column on the right. After you have several columns going, try to trade out certain cards so you can start stacking the suits together sequentially. You’ll have to do this many, many times on the hard level. Don’t deal a new stack of cards until you have completely exhausted all of your moves and don’t use your power-ups until you are totally stuck.
After a while, you should be able to win the game on hard more often than not, and a single game should take you around 20-30 minutes. If you are finding that this is not true for you, you might want to go back and try to rank up on Medium.
