Should I unistall older versions of Java?
We highly recommend users uninstall all older versions of Java from your system.

I have never had to uninstall older versions as the update does it automatically. I just had a look to see if I had chosen it to do that for me but couldn’t see anything obvious but I remember seeing it said during the update that Java will remove older versions before installing the new version.
Maybe I have ticked a box somewhere along the line but I know I have never uninstalled an old java before or after updating to a new version, it’s always been done for me. *shrug*

The new update did NOT uninstall the old version. I had to do it manually.
