I am having troubles with both FF and Internet Explorer 11 – Can’t seem to get into many of the games….been trying to play Scrabble for at least an hour and can’t get past the game set up.
Here is the solution to ur problem- specifically for “firefox”…they just updated & this new update no longer supports java, but if they have released an extension that u will have to download if ya would like to continue to use firefox til early next yr (atleast til ya can get ie working or figured out- will be basically the only browser that supports java)…Go into ur Firefox Menu, click on Addons, Click on Plug ins (side menu), ur list of plug ins will now pop up & u will see that java plug in is now gone…then in red writing (?) (going off memory here) u will see a statemt that says something like “is something missing?….click here to find out more….” click on that statemt, it will open a firefox pg that explains that they are no longer supporting java, etc, everything i explained above, then theres a list of the extention download for java, find ur correct pc & windows version & download, reboot, go back into ff menu, addons, plug ins, & u should now see java is now listed, make sure java is enabled” & u should now begin to play java games…it worked for me & ive passed it onto a few of my players…i run a league so alot, alot of ppl having issues with this…good luck
From the Mozilla site:
>>Important: The Windows 64-bit version of Firefox 52 ESR only supports the Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight plugins. If you also need support for Java or other plugins, choose the Windows (32-bit) download.<<
Which leads to my question: Is it safe to download a 32-bit version on a 64-bit machine?
I only use Internet Explorer 11, but no problems using that.
I hope that someone that uses FF gives you an answer, even if it’s no.
Good Luck!!
Someone emailed me and suggested that you might want to reboot your modem/router.
Try unplugging them for a few minutes.
Are you able to access other sites? If not you should check with your internet provider.
Good Luck!!
