I am unable to play Sparks in Firefox, Chrome, IE or Edge. I thought it was because it was the monthly game and was crowded but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. I have emptied cache, cleared Flash, etc., but the green bar will fill up and go away and then nothing. I have played it for previous badges but not recently. Any suggestions that I might try?

Is there another place I should ask this question? I still can’t get Sparks to load on either of my computers…and they have different operating systems. I would like to know if anybody else is having or had this problem and could help me rectify it. I just saw that Sparks is a badge next week so I would love to get this working. Thanks for any help….even pointing me in the right direction to ask elsewhere!
I have no problem loading it using Internet Explorer 11. I’m running Win 7, didn’t upgrade to Windows 10.
“If” I have a game that doesn’t load I usually get it to load by hitting the Ctrl button and the F5 at the same time. But I rarely have a problem loading any game.
Sorry I can’t be of more help.
You can ask tomorrow when Lura starts the weekend open thread in the afternoon. Anything Pogo related is allowed.
Good Luck!
Thanks, Suz. I just tried your suggestion and only got a larger white screen. This is quite new so something must have happened to my computers. I am running 10 on one and 8.1 on the other. Strange they both don’t work. However, I will ask the question in the open thread….one of those techies might be able to help. Thanks again for taking your time to answer this.
It could by your virus protection. In the forum they say Charter Security Suite is a problem. I thought I read about another virus protection too. At work this is the one newer game that I can’t play, they block just Sparks.
Maybe try to temporarily turn off your virus protection.
thanks ill try turning my off see that works.
Ann if you figure out to make it work please let me know thanks
it not Charter security suite cause I have and turn my off and still won’t work.
This is what was said:
“If you happen to have Charter Security Suite (CSS) installed (as I do) you might try this if you are comfortable disabling the browsing part of CSS just long enough to get into Slingo (or Sparks). Click on your CSS icon to open. Then look at the bottom (in the dark blue stripe) and click on “Online Safety”. A warning box will pop up, just close it. Then click on “Settings” in the bottom right corner. Another warning box will pop up asking if it is ok to change settings, just answer yes. Then “browsing protection” pops up. In that screen in the upper right, is a slider. Just move it to the left (turns off browsing protection). Now open the Slingo game. And immediately after you open the game (I hope it works for you), turn the browsing protection back on. Good Luck!”
I don’t have Charter Security Suite but will try to figure out if it is my virus protection. Actually, now that I read this, I have a different virus protection than I had before when Sparks worked. This might be the case. And wyocat1968….yes, I will post if I get it to work and how I did. Thanks, all, for your help.
Thanks caren its works been trying figure it out for about a year now .now I know what to do.
Caren – Could this be why some people are getting a totally black screen in Poppit Bingo? Someone asked me about this earlier and I said that I would ask.
Thanks!
Suz
Suz, I don’t think it is related. I originally played Poppit Bingo in Chrome and then started to get the black screen. I think it started when Chrome updated to 55. But at work it loads fine in Chrome. Both are Windows 7. I use Norton at home and I think Mcafee at work, so maybe it is related.
The black screen started on 12/17:

Thanks Caren!
I don’t have a problem playing on IE 11 with Win 7, and use Norton.
Suz, I use IE 11 too. Originally I had the streaky lines problem in IE but it’s fine now.
I never did get it fixed on my main computer but found on an older computer that wasn’t updated to 10 (still on 8.1) and has a different virus protection, it works. So even though I don’t use that computer anymore, I am keeping it and leaving it as is so I can play the games that won’t load on 10. Thanks, all, for being so diligent in trying to help. This site is the best!!!
When Poppit! Bingo was first released I got the black screen when using Chrome/Torch and Firefox. The solution was to make sure pop-ups were allowed for:
cdn-h5poppitbingo-prod.pogospike.com
When I added this url to my Browser pop-up exceptions list I never got the black screen again.
I just loaded Sparks to see if any similar urls are launched with that game and I see a siimilar url for Sparks:
cdn.tpsparks.prod.pogospike.com
I never had a problem with Sparks, have always been able to launch and play with no issues.
Hope this helps someone.
