Pogo News:

As part of larger security updates happening across Electronic Arts, the Pogo account system is undergoing some changes.

Starting September 26, 2017, all NEW Pogo accounts will be asked to provide an email address that is not already used with an existing EA service, such as Pogo, Origin, or Access.

Additionally, if you have an existing Pogo account and you want to update the email address associated with it, you will need to provide an email address not already connected to an EA game or service.

These changes are being made to further improve the security of EA and Pogo accounts.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Just saw this today in pogo what exactly does it mean?

If you create a new Pogo account you’ll need to use an email address that isn’t already used for an existing Pogo, Origin, or EA Access account.

If you want to update your email address for your existing Pogo account, you can’t update it to something that’s already used for an existing Pogo, Origin, or EA Access account.

If you have a gmail account you can append anything to your name with a + and it’ll send it to your account still even though it would look like an entirely different account to Pogo/EA.

For example, if your gmail address is whatever@gmail.com you could sign up with whatever+pogo@gmail.com or whatever+pogo2@gmail.com or whatever+newemail@gmail.com and so on, and the emails will all still be delivered to whatever@gmail.com.

There are several disposable email addresses that you could procure for free. Additionally, if you create 1 exclusively for Pogo only, whenever you need to change it or disable it, it will only impact 1 account, your Pogo addy.

Your Internet Provider may also be able to give you further assistance. Good luck.
