For the last couple of days, I have been playing Spades and, in the middle of a game, I get a message saying something to the effect “Cripes something is wrong, your game couldn’t be loaded”, or I get a message saying “the connection to the Server has been lost”. Yesterday, after three attempts at this, I was able to play with no problems. Today, after two tries, I am hanging it up for the day. I set up Pop Fu for tomorrow’s challenge, and played three games with no problems. Is anyone else having any problems?
I’m using IE 8, Java 1.7.0 60, since I can play Java games using Chrome. Had no problems with Spades until a couple of days ago. Caches are clean as are temp files.

No problems here my friend. There is a new Java update that was released this morning Java 7u67, that is supposed to resolve many of the issues Java 7u65 had for people, especially on Windows 8 and 8.1. I installed it as soon as it came out, and have had no issue with any Java games today.

I have been seeing a ton of 404 server not found and 500 internal server errors in the page elements when I check them. I will have to check Spades and see what I come up with…
and just checked it with Java 7u65, and found no error messages in my Java console or in the page elements..

It sounds like you are hitting a server with issues, or your internet connection is having issues, I have only ever gotten the “Cripes something is wrong…” or lost server connection messages when we have had a momentary loss of FIOS, or I forget to clear browsing history and caches for too long. Or if I have my settings too high in ThreatFire or AVG and it blocks the connection to the server. Clearing history, caches and resetting my AVG/ThreatFire settings to default has always resolved the issue.

You can install the newest Java update and see if the issues resolve with loading. The server connection issue is something totally different though, and should not be caused by Java. Pogo is having alot of glitches lately, and this may have nothing to do with your computer, browser or settings. *smh*

I wish you luck and hope you can get this resolved, or EA/Pogo gets the problems with their software and page/game coding and faulty servers fixed. *grumble grumble grumble*

Life4Style: Yesterday My IP was out , I use Time Warner Cable
Whenever I see that message I look at my modem then I call TWC and most of the time the recorded message says there is an *outage* in your area … Nothing to do I’m afraid but wait, but I’d call if I were you in case they didn’t get the outage report yet and you were the *Lucky* one to get the outage first!

…..@Jan ! ANOTHER update!?! What next lol it seems like I just got v65 :(
oh well, if the games work for badge day I’ll leave it alone, if not I’ll download v67

Oh ! another thing Life4Style …. if you get “Lost Connection to Serve* (quite a bit) call your provider and complain, I always get a refund on my next bill when it acts up like that .. Multiple Outages are NOT My Cup-O-Tea & I want a pro-rated bill !

Bobbi, if things work, don;t change them. the new update is really supposed to “fix” the last update’s “glitches” with Windows 8 and 8.1. But update 65 (probably even 60) should still work for most folks on older operating systems. Not sure how the update will affect people on MAC systems, since I rarely use MAC for anything. Lol! My poor iPad has an inch of dust on it…

I did the update and all is working fine with Windows 7 & IE 10.

Janice – I’ve had my iPad for almost 2 years now and up until last week I never used it for anything but the weekly badge. Last week I couldn’t get a government site to load on my computer and I needed to renew my car registration. After a couple of hours of figuring out what I was going to do I remember that the iPad should have a browser on it….LOL But I will admit that if I didn’t know that Safari was a browser that I would still be pulling my hair out.
