Since I downloaded the latest version, pogo cannot load screens that use java. Says some plug-in is not safe so windows has blocked it. anyone else having this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times but same thing happens.

I pretty much have given up trying to play Pogo. Had to upgrade computer (MacBook) OS because of my ISP… and find that OS X 10.8 apparently doesn’t support (won’t run) Java scripts. I’ve tried with both Safari and Chrome.
Don’t know if I can partition the hard drive to run Windows-based software, I may try (or have someone else try).
Does anyone know if the new tablets will run Pogo?

sonitrak – Java is supported and will run on 10.8, you have to download it as it is not pre-installed. I have posted the solution and steps to this numerous times on the Pogo forums under several different Mac threads and you’ll find the solution there. Just do a search. :)

You can use Parallels, but you’re not going to help your situation by doing so.

I am also getting notices about problems with the Java Plug-in. When these messages appear my game either runs sluggish, or freezes up completely, and I have to reload the games. Because of this problem, it took me all day just to get my M&M Badge in Family Feud last week. It also took me another whole day to rank out in Family Feud (had something like 6 ranks to get to 20). Very frustrating.
I heard Windows did an update this weekend, then had to do another one to remove what they did because it was causing some web surfing crashes. Don’t know if this had anything to do with the Java problem. I know Windows did an update on Sunday, and another one yesterday on my puter. That’s unusual.

Java working for me. I do get the new security warning pop-up every few games which apparently is normal. I’m using Chrome on a pretty basic laptop running Windows XP Pro, SP3. Did you update your Flash plug-in? Do that if you haven’t. I find most loading problems /black screens are fixed after Flash player plug-in is updated. Also, make sure you disable/uninstall any old versions of Java.

I haven`t been able to play for 4 days. Contacted Live Help. I reinstalled Java and now it is working. Follow link http;//www.java.com/en/download/help/pogo.xml
When I was downloading java i did not DOUBLE CLICK on the RUN button so it didn`t completley load. You will also find the link on Java help with pogo.

I can play on my old Vista machine. It’s bugging me to do the update, but no way am I doing it. On my Win 8 machine, things work great – for one round of play. Despite directing it to, the pop-up warning does not come up after the first round which stalls the game.

When I get home tonight, I’m going to seek out the previous version and replace the current version.

This is something Pogo can fix but they don’t seem to have a sense of urgency.

Avo… thank you thank you, I went to the forums. Who knew I was supposed to click on “inactive plug-in”? It was faded out so never occurred to me.

After my last post, I played 3 different Java games I had been having problems with (Bingo Luau, Crazy Cakes, and Canasta). All games worked fine. I only had one notice that Java script wasn’t responding and asked if I wanted to stop it or wait. I chose to wait and things went fine after that. I got no notice of a plug-in not working, and only one security warning. Other than that things worked fine. Games are just sluggish between rounds, I can live with that. LOL BTW I’m using Chrome with Windows XP.
Did Pogo figure something out? Did the Windows Update problems over the weekend do something? I guess only the Cyberspace Ghost knows for sure, and he isn’t saying one word. LOL Just floats around with a silly smirk on his face. LOL
