If you started having this problem after downloading the new internet explorer update, try using a different browser and see if that fixes it. I tried pogo live chat when I had that issue and it produced no results. But when I tried it in Firefox it seemed to work, so that may help live chat figure it out.
I just had the same problem with Safari. Worked fine in the past with the same card and the same browser. CS was not able to purchase either.
For once though, CS came through as true service and gave me 50 gems for the inconvenience. I was down to 10 so I was able to gift a Clue episode to a friend that I wanted to surprise.
I may see if I can make it work with a different browser though. Didn’t try that but did reboot, etc.
I went looking in the Pogo forums and it seems like there is a problem with about 50% of the people trying to purchase gems, so it’s not you. I read all that I could find on the subject and there doesn’t seem to be a solution, other than contacting customer service thru live chat….sorry!!
I just saw that thread Moms. Thanks for trying to help. I am pretty irritated but I guess they are just going to have to lose money. Sounds like the problem might be on their end since an update to their billing system. I could buy gems on May 31 and haven’t tried since until today. Live chat couldn’t add them to my account either although they could gift me 50 gems.
Sounds like the EA prepaid cards are working for US residents so might try that if I get truly desperate.
The abridged version: make sure your account info at Pogo matches the account info on your credit card (name and address) and if that doesn’t solve the problem, contact Pogo support by the Contact Us link, live chat or phone.
If you are having a problem the best thing you can do is go to live chat, or email pogo thru the help site.

Well, no, that wasn’t it. I even tried a different credit card and I still get the same error message. I guess the issue is on their end.
