i was reading profiles in game room one day and i noticed a person had 6 gifts and it said the sender was me? the strange thing is i do not know this person, don’t have them on my friend list. and every gift i supposedly sent to this person i sent to myself. i know i sent the exact same gifts to myself.what i’d like to know is how is it even possible for this person to get the exact same gifts supposedly from me when i dont know this person? very strange. not sure if someone hacked in and did this or what happened. and a couple of the dates if memory serves me, i wasn’t even on the computer. and three of the gifts sent were on the same day. i’ve never sent three gifts to one person let alone someone i do not know. hope someone can shed some light on this. should i send note to this person asking how they know me?

Cricket,
If I was to give it a good guess – All I would say is that a lot of strange things have been happening on Pogo the last week or so.

All my gifts disappeared 2 days ago, just my Expressions were left. Did all the things I was supposed to do and regularly do then when I rebooted and signed back in, they were still gone. Tried a different browser and could not get into Gifts at all. A few hours later all was well. I know my computers run fine – I chalk it all up to Pogo glitches. I’m thinking it’s just a matter of which server of theirs you get upon sign in. Makes ya feel batty sometimes.

I’d check again. The other day I was trying to remember exactly how to spell the Pogo name of a friend of my sister. When I went to my sister’s Guestbook to find the name, all the Guestbook entries were in my sister’s name….as if she had sent them all to herself.
Now I know that’s not the way it was, so I think twisty is right.. glitches happen.

Hey twisty… I resemble that remark! *grins*

Cricket, similar thing happened to me the other day as it did to RyznadShyn’s sister. All of my gifts had my name as the sender, and I did not send any of them to myself! Lol! A few hours later, no CCleaner, no reboot, no cache clearing and I go to my profile… and all of gifts disappeared for a half second, then came back, with the actual senders’ names on them again. Pogo site stability issues strike again. I would just wait and see if they are back later, and check your items in the MiniMall to see if any that were mini items are still there. Mine were, even with the weird name thing and presto-chango act. ;)

to batty janice i have the expression gifts i sent to myself. reason i did is i liked them.thats not the problem. what was weird is some other pogo person got the exact same gifts supposedly sent from me. i never sent those gifts to that person let alone three gifts to same person in one day.. i dont know this person..the person isn’t even on my friend list. i’ve never sent three gifts to the same person in one day let alone to someone i dont know. i dont like seeing my name as sending that person those gifts.not happy about seeing my name as sending gifts that i never sent.

Cricket…
What we’re saying is that the reason your name showed is because there was a glitch.
You have those gifts. The other person has those gifts. The glitch made your name show on the other person’s as you were viewing them because you also have them. Chances are you could have gone to my profile page (or anybody’s) and your name would have shown by those gifts that you and I both have.
Go check again, and then investigate by going to other people’s profiles and checking if it happens or doesn’t happen.

I checked like you recommended RyzandShyn and none of my friends have the exact same gifts like the ones I supposedly sent to that person. Guess nothing can be done about it. thanks anyway for the input

Cricket – Let’s say it a different way.

PlayerUnkown, the profile you looked at had actually received 3 expressions, 1 of them from me, 1 from twisty, 1 from RyzandShyn. But on the day you looked at their profile there was a problem on Pogo so instead of seeing our 3 names as giving those gifts it showed your name by MISTAKE.

If you went back to that same profile today it would show the correct names of the people that gave them the expressions.

This happened to me and I drove myself crazy! Only a few games do this but it will do it again because everytime I peek at profiles I see the same. A handful of games will do it and show that even the badges will be the same!

BattyJanice replied 9 years ago

Yes. Like KBSMITH73 says, some games show your badges if you look at someone else’s profile, Poppit Sprint is one of them. If I look at someone else’s profile from the chat there, I can see their profile, but if I look at their gifts or badges, it shows my gifts and my badges on their profile. This glitch has been around for a while, and used to drive me nuts. I had a friend meet me in a room there and we checked each others’ profiles, and both had the same thing happen. We saw out gifts and badge on each other’s profiles, but if we looked at our own profiles we saw our own gifts and badges. Just a weird glitch that Pogo has, and nothing to be worried about.

KBSMITH73 replied 9 years ago

BTW it’s not a “glitch” that will be fixed. The games that do it will continue to do it and no matter the profile it will be on an of them in those few games!

No worries it is just the way it works and harmless. Been like this for years!
