There was an announcement in the Pogo news in January.
Download Games Center Notice
Effective 04/24/14, Iplay will discontinue their support for Pogo Download Game purchases made prior to 12/06/2011. You will still be able to play your previously installed games after 04/24/14 on your current system(s), but won’t be able to install them to additional new systems or reinstall them to your current system if they’ve been uninstalled for any reason….etc. http://news.pogo.com/download-games-center-notice/
these download games have been a bit of a con in my opinion
i purchased all the Pogo downloadable games and now cant access to them because Pogo doesnt support them any longer and oberon media who made the games for Pogo dont recognise them either
Specially games like Diner Dash family style which was removed after 1 year and no1 could reinstall it
Pogo closed its ears to all the download games now taken our money and dont want to help us no more
Phil – Pogo NEVER sold the games directly to any member. They were always purchased thru a vendor. Originally it was Oberon which became iPlay. The new vendor is iWin.
The ones I purchased years ago and downloaded I still can play. But I know if I get a new computer it will be gone since the vendor I purchased them from is no longer around.
Do I think that Pogo needs to take “some” responsibility? Yes! Even though they didn’t get our money they did get a benefit from the original sale. But they probably didn’t get much since the vendor was responsible for the customer service on those games.
Would I ever buy another downloadable game from Pogo & a vendor? NO, not for anything. You live and learn.
