I’ve been playing Bookworm for about two hours, and am still working towards Rank 2. Is there a faster way to earn rank points in this game? What am I missing?
I have been playing this game a lot since it came out and I am only at rank 3. Ranks are slow. I think you may be comparing ranks with levels. I get plenty of levels but not many ranks. The longer the word you make the more points you get towards a level. Also if you get a green, yellow or blue tiles you get bonus points to fill the book row behind the worm to move up a level.
Ranks are based on rank points (not level).
This link will give you the info.
All good info there, but I’d still like to know how rank points are determined.
Word length, overall score, levels gained? I currently have no idea how to maximize my rank progress.
Kiki is correct! :-) As luck would have it, this question was just discussed yesterday on the Pogo Forum (for more info, this post is in the Bookworm subsection of Word games). The consensus is that rank points are gained based upon the number of 4-letter words that are spelled. Two reliable and helpful forum members agreed on this after testing the theory.
Thank you for the answers, but I also asked on the forums. It is correct. Four letter words add rank points. Finally moving up a little.
