I’ve got two accounts, been doing hotshots on both. The last few days I did identical outfits. One one with a score of 7, got the background, the other got 5.8, tokens but no background. Here’s the zinger…. when I was voting identical outfits got scores of 8 and 9!! How can that be??? And.. I sure wish people would follow directions and read…

Gramma, I ‘ve never submitted two identical minis although your observations are “RIGHT ON THE NOSE”. I find myself going hmmmm just like you.
Now, I’ve zeroed in on your last sentence: follow instructions and READ. Although Female, I had my mini on in the Male Skater Outfit. A shoo-in for a Win right? WRONG! Got a 6.9. The only reason I can think of why I didn’t make the 7 for the BG is because I went head to head with someone with an IDENTICAL mini…right down to the hat which matched the scarf in my case. From all aspects I SHOULD have won, but the whole game is still so “quirky” right now…who knows what’s gonna happen next!
I have done identical outfits and had 1 win the background and the other get only a 6….it just depends on what other mini comes up against you in the voting.
I put Holly in the male skater outfit and she won the background. The only reason I did that was b/c their were no skates on the female side. I did not dress mine as a male, and only got 2,000 tokens…can’t remember the score.
It just depends what you get matched with in the voting. I just hope that I go up against a robe….LOL
I believe every single time our Minis come up to vote, we are opposite a different Mini. We have been discussing this for some time on the main BH site if anyone wants to join in.
The reason I believe this is when you have two “bad” minis – both in robes, for instance – mine always have them both at low scores. If they were locked together for the whole day, they would have many more votes and their scores would be higher.
Same with identical “good” minis: I had several of those go up against each other. Then, obviously, someone gets dinged as a “no” vote when they wouldn’t normally get one. So, their high score is going to go down even though we might not think it deserves to.
If we are put against a different mini every time, then the combinations are endless. I think that “chance” factor accounts for most of these situations where you think your mini would’ve/could’ve scored higher.
Lastly, I have found if I am voting fairly early in the 24 hour voting period, I see alot more 8s and 9s than I do if I’m voting near the end of the 24 hour period. That might be what you were experiencing, too, justa. Those 8s and 9s you saw may have gone down as the voting progressed.
