I’m looking at the weekly badge for 7/25/12 and I have no idea how I’m going to complete it.

Pogo even calls it “elusive” in the How to Play.

Not sure this is a tip Suz, but here’s how I get them.. Start a new game (level 1), you must make consecutive matches of 3 or more jewels until you get to level 10. Once you reach level 10, make consecutive matches to complete level 10 again and it will give you the “Fruit Gem”. Any miss of consecutive matches will stop your progress! This takes some luck. Hope this helps.

Suz….Don’t know if this will work but found this on line…to make a fruit gem, all you need to do is make continuous matches until you see flashy rainbows in the score multiplier, and once you fill that up, a fruit gem of random color will appear in a random place on the screen. Have not tried it yet…good luck to us all on this one.

Yes!! I think you are right Suz. I can consistently get 3 to 4 per game, but for someone who does not play it regularly it is going to be a REAL challenge.

As has been said you must make match after match after match. If you miss a match though all is not lost, as the multilplier doesn’t reset to the start of x1 but starts at the last level you got to. For example, you are halfway to x4 and make a move that doesn’t result in a match of 3, it won’t go back to the start of x1 but will go back to the start of the x3. If you make another wrong move immediately it will go back to x2.

Also don’t forget that if you can’t see a move, wait, the game will show you a move that will make a match. The whole game could be played like this (waitng for the game to show you the moves) but would take a long time.

The only reason anyone shouldn’t get this badge is if they can’t load the game.

There is a bug in the game that will let you play without the counting down bombs.

    Read what Tom wrote here:

I sure hope it’s easier than it appears to be.

I just played this for my first time and I am confused about a couple of things. If you turn a gem say 3 times does that affect your score? Are you suppose to get a match with just one turn? And I keep getting these bombs, is that something that I am doing wrong or do they just come naturally? I find it a bit confusing and yes reading Carens via Toms post got me totally confused.

Wheatonmom – You need to make the match with 1 twist or your meter resets.

OK, thanks moms. I will for sure have to practice all this week on this game. I think a lot of people will not even understand the game and prob not even try to play it.

    Answer from Caren

There is usually always a move that will give you a match. Like Shelly said, if you wait, the tiles that make up the match will highlight. For the meter to increase you keep have to make moves that will make a match. As you play watch the meter so you can see what I mean. It is the top part that looks like a fan. The vertical part is just for the level.

What Tom said in the other thread is if you restart the game after the first round, you will not get bombs on the next round. You have to keep restarting the game after each round. I’m not sure you you restart the game because I have never done this.

This is going to be a hard badge for most people.

Maybe this thread is better, it talks about restarting the levels:

Oh Suz! I’m glad you wrote in about this. I went to take a look/practice, and I’m having a terrible time getting more than a couple of matches in a row using only 1 twist per match. It hurts my eyes and my brain.
I’m a good sport, and I like learning new games, but this may be too much.
I’ll give it a go and try and follow the tips but I can only imagine the confused and frustrated cries for help come next Wednesday….and they might even be from me :)

Suz, how high have you gotten the multiplier? Were you able to complete level 1 making a match each move?

I you don’t see a match just wait until it is highlighted. It will highlight the 3 tiles that will make the match. Play slow.

All I can say is ‘Wow… how??” I played for over an hour and all I could get that meter to was x3 and no higher. How the heck do you get it to x10??

    Answer from Caren
    posted 6 years ago

BonBon, if you can get through level 1 with all good moves, follow the instructions here:

    http://www.badgehungry.com/answers/bejeweled-twist-levels/

Then the next level won’t have bombs so you can continue to just make the good moves without worrying about them.

CAbreeze79, the photo essay is excellent. It helped me visually to understand what to expect. Now to get 32 consecutives is another thing. Im not going to like it at all I can tell. I have been playing for an hour just to get to know the game and the flash player kept crashing….7 times in 30 minutes. Not going to be fun next week .

I suggest playing this week to eek yourself closer to Multiplier 10 (fruits won’t appear until you reach this goal). The game saves your progress when you exit using the menu, by doing this you could save yourself time/headache next week.

Be sure to use Tom’s hint (above) to avoid bomb gems. Play on the Classic (un-timed) tab.

To understand the meter: it shows both multiplier progress & level progress. The multiplier (to achieve the fruit bonus) is the number in the oval at the TOP of the meter, above your score. The level (how many grids you completed) is the number in the circle below your score. A clear vertical tube fills to show your progress on the current grid/level, when it’s filled the game loads another grid/level to complete.

The way to get fruit is solely thru consecutive matches – don’t be concerned with anything else. If you don’t see a match to make, wait – the game will show you a move within a few seconds, by sparkling gems. Think hard about which way to make that match (any mistakes set you back). You could take your time and reach Multiplier 10 by being patient and letting the game show you the matches.

After completing Multiplier 10, the indicator will start filling with a rainbow, this means you’re earning your fruit bonus. At this point wait to play further until you activate your badge. When the rainbow completes, a fruit will appear on your grid. Continue playing to make more consecutive matches. You’ll fill the meter again (no fruit this time), but the next time you’ll see the rainbow again (giving you another fruit). Every other time you fill the Multiplier 10 meter, you’ll get a rainbow and fruit.

Take heart, even after playing for an hour, my game always showed me a match (I doubted it a few times, but it was always valid). I never heard the dreaded “No More Moves”.

Is there a way that you can stop those booms..I can defuse them aprt of the time and the rest I have to start over …I will never get this badge.

    Answer from MomsBassetHound
    posted 6 years ago

bowlinglady – Yes, you can get rid of the bombs….

After EVERY level do the following

    1) Click play again BUT DO NOT make a move
    2) Click Menu
    3) Click Quit

That will take you back to the main screen and will save your progress
    4) Click on Classic and continue to play

You MUST do those steps after EVERY level.

    Good Luck!
