Farm Merge Valley – Ok, I gave it a go. I played for about 30 minutes and I think I was following along nicely until I wasn’t. I know I’m old, but I’m still smart and relatively sharp, yet the new things Pogo is putting out get so complicated so quickly. Sing it with me: “Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated?”
I didn’t see/find a “save and exit” so I hope my progress is still there when I go back. Sigh.

I played a little longer and ended up with 15 game award badges. I didn’t see a save button when I left either.
I just kept merging whatever I could and tried placing all the items that were regenerating out of the way. But I really have no clue what I was doing.
I remember the old days when you could actually learn how to play a game by reading the directions. But that was when the employees actually played the games and could explain it without AI.

Suz – Right! At least when we got directions, we could get started, build our confidence, find the nuances in the game leading to tips/hints/tricks that we could use and leave for others.

I did the same…played for a short time but I can’t spend all day on these. I think you have a life away from pogo too. I will play a little but that is it. I am not going to get every badge… There are too many other games I like to play.

I remember from another site that cut down trees used energy. I do not remember when free energy just appeared, but I know that I did not buy it. When it did appear on the playing field, it was lightning bolt that could be collected just by clicking on it.

I don’t even know how to fill orders. I click on the truck and it takes eggs after I make them but my coins are still at 0. Maybe when I figure this game out I might like it but right now, not so much.

After you fill an order, you have to collect the coins to get them to show up in your tally upper left. By merging the coins before collecting them you can increase their value. The little blue “discovery” book bottom right has a page that will show you the increased value of merged coins.

I collect the coins and even wait to merge them when they become Gold, however the coins do not add to my coin total. The coins go into the area to level up.
Anybody know how to actually get more coins?

What are you wanting the coins for? As far as I know, your coins are doing what they’re supposed to do. The game will let you buy more land when you have enough coins.

Most say that it saves itself, but Iv’e play a little and went back and did not save?? Plus thought I might try it in chrome but will not open in chrome. Chrome wil olpen other games but not Farm .

Tip 1: – Wait until you collect 5 of a kind…it pays double what a 3 match is.
Example
3 level 1 wheats = 1 level 2 wheat.
5 level 1 wheats = 2 level 2 wheats.
Tip 2: – Be careful not to 4 match, doing so will pay exactly the same as a 3 match except you pay 4. (same goes for 6 match you get the exact same result as a 5 match)
Example
3 level 1 wheat = 1 level 2 wheat.
4 level 1 wheats = 1 level 2 wheat.

It matters most on the final evolution of the thing you are merging. Always better to merge 5 to get 2 with a small chance of a bonus 3rd final item.

I just do three matches. I don’t think this game is geometrical. I think it’s just linear. Three piles of silver coins is worth 27×3 =81 just the same as one large gold coin if you merge them is worth.
There seem to be “bonuses” every now and again if you do matches larger than 3 but to me not worth the headache of space management to hope I get a bonus.

Astute analysis that merging coins does not increase their value. I still like merging 5 because two 3 merges (6 items) gives the same result a one 5 item merge. I don’t stretch to get a 5, but will look for it every time that I can fairly easy. I especially like to try it for the last merge that will create the generators.

There is one teeny tiny advantage for merging coins. When you go into your blue “discovery” book and click on the items that you have discovered (such as gold coin collections) you are awarded a single crystal. Big Whoopie!

I found another advantage for merging coins. If you merge 5 items the result is the same as if you had merged 6 in two sets of 3. I see that as essentially gaining an extra set of what ever is being merged.

I’m still not sold on the merging 5. I get “lucky merges” when merging only 3. And it makes the board much more manageable. Separately , do you have to buy the blue areas with coins? I’m not very far along but none of the blue areas have opened up.

The pink areas are bonus spots you can unlock with crystals. The cloud areas are unlocked as you gain levels and you purchase them with coins.

I have been playing this a bit lately. Merging 5 or 6 level 1 items gets you 2 level 2 items. Merging 7 gets you 2 level 2 and a level 1. Merging 8 or 9 level 1 items gets you 3 level 2 items.
Better to merge 5 or 8 (1 short of a multiple of 3) otherwise that extra one is wasted. Sometimes you can’t take advantage of the extra because you are running out of space like I am. The lucky merges still happen when you are merging the larger groups (still only 1 extra of the next level piece). The extra pieces you get from merging larger groups become very important when you are trying to repair food trucks or build up coins to unlock more ground.
Don’t forget you can use the shovel near the upper right of the playfield to dig out / remove items. Just drag the shovel to the item you want to remove. I have so many toolboxes I actually threw out a low level one. Hopefully that doesn’t come back to haunt me.
You can also merge the locked boxes. If I have 3 silver ones and the time is about to run out on one of them I will merge them to get a gold box and it resets the timer.

I’m not getting any credit for merges- I merged 3 big cows and got no coins or crowns. But I don’t know if I’m supposed to be doing something else since I don’t see anything explaining the game. Should I be getting coins and crowns? I have many pieces on my board with six leaves that won’t merge or move. Can you help me figure this out?

Eventually a box (with a padlock) will plot down in your field that needs a key to open it. The color of the box will indicate which color key, as will the pop-up when you click on that box.

I think the keys just appear randomly not in any order. But it is possible to merge keys up in color, bronze, silver, gold

Googling it it stated that keys have a cool-down…once you get one you need to open 100 or more crates before another appears.

You do not need to open crates before another key appears. I’ve gotten multiple keys prior to opening any crate. Keys are the holdup when it comes to crate opening. It is not worth merging 3 bronze to get 1 silver. Best bet is to merge 5 only on keys. Crates only stick around for 24 hours, so feel free to delete them from your board if you need a spot opened up.

You need 2 keys of the same color to open a box. I’ve been playing a lot, have never gotten more than 1 gold key so I assume that you need to merge the bronze or silver keys to get a gold key.

The game is set to auto save. Located in the right edge of the game window you see the setting icon below it is the shovel (can use to dig out/eliminate an item as needed) then below that is the tiny square box …this will auto save and place a checkmark in it when auto save was completed.) If you make a move just pause for a moment it will then show the checkmark as a save.

Seems odd that they do not sell coins! I opened a padlocked box which said it needed 2 spaces but in reality it used up 5 spaces. So that is 5 spaces that would take a very long time to clear – building a greenhouse. So I guess that I am done with this game as I do not have the space for enough order’s coins to arrive to make enough to buy those very expensive lands upper right. I am reluctant to use that little spade to remove items because that would only put me farther behind. The other padlocked boxes say they will disappear in 20 hours so I might wait to see if that is true

I opened another silver padlocked box and got more greenhouse parts, some of which merged with parts from the first box. I am guessing that to build the greenhouse you need to open multiple boxes. And I wonder if the other color padlocked boxes have parts for some other construction.

Can someone explain to me how to get rid of the tree roots? I keep using energy to cut them down and they still are there. I see the squares under them blinking every time I use energy on them, but they don’t go away. What does it take to completely get rid of them. Thanks

The blinking light shows several sections. The number of sections indicate the number of times you will need to attack the tree; which differ by tree shape/thickness. All trees take more than one attack to finally go away.

Merging 5 gets you 2 of the next level items. You will sometimes get a lucky merge at the same time and receive 3. The lucky merge appears to be random.

You deal with the toolboxes the same way as the rocks and trees.
Rocks break down to stones
Trees = lumber
Toolboxes = tools
Then of course you have to merge those items to get the correct stones, lumber and tools you need for the repair.

I just got my daily reward in Farm Merge which puts it on my list to collect at the same time as Poker Town and Card Scramble. 7 PM CT- Time for me to cycle my accounts through Poker, Card, and now Farm. I also do moments at this time too although it does become available at different times for each account.

Has anyone else noticed that their energy is being stolen or not properly dispersed….I have been trying to clear the tree’s n rocks for space so i have been acutely aware of how many i have or what i should have…..its supposed to be 1 unit every 3 mins…however this has not been the case i have gone in 1 hour intervols several times….i should get 20 units…however often im 10 or less and just now i had 78 units so i chopped at a tree @ a cost of 20 units…i left n returned 10 mins later to chop at it again and i had 2! units 2!…from 78-20 does not equal 2!

I need to repair the bbq area. It requires wood and stone as well as tools. I have yet to see where I can get tools.
In fact I have not seen tools mentioned anywhere.

The tools that I have seen, have come when I opened a padlocked box. That said, those things needed to repair the bbq are all very high level. I have worked a little on the stone and very little on the tools.

The BBQ doesn’t take a lot of tools but it does take a high level of stones (looks like bricks to me) and lumber. I just got mine repaired and it took forever. I thought I was going to run out of rocks to make the needed stones for the repair.
I have so many toolboxes sitting around taking up space I could have built much higher level tools for the repair.

My problem is I have upgrade “signs”. For upgrades I’ve apparently already earned. And there is no way to get rid of them so they take up space. Currently I have two “signs” but this could get annoying.

Those upgrade signs can be merged when you get 3 of a kind. It is said that merging those further increases the upgrade– I found it hard to see exactly the difference.

What I have been calling toolboxes are those things that come out the the boxes with padlocks and which provide tools starting box-end wrench. I notice though that there are game award badges like to open 1000 toolboxes. I guess Pogo calls the whole padlocked box a tool box. So I think maybe a bunch of my posts could have been confusing by my misuse of the term toolbox. My apologies.

The game award badge for clearing toolboxes shows an image of that smallest blue toolbox that spawns 3 tools. The discovery book calls those big padlocked boxes “Reward Chests”

Bronze: spawns 3 times: items levels 1 & 2
Silver: spawns 5 times: items levels 1 & 2
Gold: spawns 10 times: items levels 1, 2, & 3
Note: 10th spawn by Gold will occupy your worker for 2 hours unless you buy speed up.

I have found you can move buildings/businesses. (the things that fill the orders) Click and hold on the thing you want to move, an arrow pops up and fills yellow then green, once it’s filled green it disappears and you can now move the thing. If your map moves when trying this you have moved too soon, wait for the green arrow to disappear. Also you need to make sure you have the space to move it, at the moment my things need 4 squares so make sure you have 4 connecting squares free.

Yesterday I opened a gold lockbox and it gave me 270 energy points. I was working on my animals so decided to use them later. After about 3 hours I went to use them and they had disappeared and I only had 80 to use. I was so disappointed!!

Try to combine chests. I did it with 5 silver chests and it made a gold one…..totally surprised it worked, lol. But I have the same problem with no room to do anything.

I see now they are the highest level chest so can’t be merged. The tools are killing me. I have over 20 tool boxes and more keep showing up. And there are many levels of tools. I just made my first crow bar.

Ok I have tried the Farm Merge Valley for two days. I did get a couple of game badges, but I really have no idea where I am going with this game. No directions at all, no save key, no way I would know to click on tool boxes, or collect multiple pieces to build a greenhouse. When I went to Google to find some directions, it says you can get tickets or visit other farms. HOW????? There is not enough information for me to continue with this game.

I wish I knew how to use those signs that drop. I merge 3 or 5 things that the sign depicts, making sure the merge is behind the arrow on the sign, yeit gets me nothing. No directions or help available anywhere. And yes, play this game only if you have no other life! Plus, I’ve opened up five new sections, yet I never seem to have enough room, even when I’m shoveling some of the lower value things away like blue toolboxes. It seems I’ll never have enough gems to open one of the premium plots.

I think you are referring to what I call cards. I’m not sure about merging five versus three for them. But I’ve been merging three at a time. They have to be the same product (animal or plant) and have the same number of arrows. When you merge three one arrow cards you get a two arrow card. And the product produces more each time it’s “harvested”. When you merge three two arrow cards you get a three arrow card which you click on and hit upgrade and the product produces even more plus the card turns into a generator. I’ve not gotten any cards with more than two arrows. And I’ve also not gotten more cards for products I’ve completed the three two arrow card merges. So I used to have way too many cards. Now I’m down to only seven.
