  1. I hate the game. You can’t play against bots and it freezes when people don’t play and get dropped

  5. No interest in exploring nor trying it out since u can’t play bots. Since I discovered I can finally pass on obtaing all categories of badges, I can easily pass when this game is included in.any type of event or weekly.

      • The game automatically levels you up into new Divisions as you compete in and win more games.

        Division 1 starts with $4,000 buy-ins and lower stakes. As you progress through higher Divisions, the buy-ins go up as well. I’m Division 5 ($8,000 blinds).

        Others complained about not being about to play only robots, which I get. But after playing with real people (and up to one robot per game), it’s been fun. There isn’t any chat like there was in the old Pogo 6-player poker (which I sorely miss), but the games are much more fun than any other poker I’ve found.

  7. This game is a joke. I cannot even figure out how to start it. I wait for table to get full, just when a 4th person is seated another one leaves. Allow robots would be a start. No interest in it and if they continue to get rid of games and bring on junk like this I will be cancelling my subscription.

  8. I agree with everyone! After trying for too long to TRY to play., I gave up. This one is too complicated when poker is such a quick and easy game to play. good grief!!!!!!

I gave it time since the release, and quite a few tries, but getting in is a frustration and understanding it is a headache, You hit the nail on the head that “poker is such a quick and easy game to play” and I did enjoy the old versions Pogo used to have once I learned how to play proficiently, which wasn’t hard to do, This version? I give up! So disappointing!

  9. I tried several times, but this game is ridiculous! I can’t even figure out how to start! What stinks is there is a weekly coming up and so many of us are clueless! I hope they change it before then.

    • My advice is to collect the daily coins before the weekly. I have no idea what I’m doing but my coins seem to keep growing from collecting and also paying games. To play games I recommend a laptop which is what works for me. I play pickup games and then tournament game on my laptop. I can’t get a game to start on my iPad.

        • Once you get to level 1 in the game you can get 6,000 free chips daily. You click on the Town tab, and you will see the button you need to click.

  12. What do you have to do to earn the rank points in this game specifically? And by that, is it by Tournament placements, hands played, etc.?

    • You get 10 rank points for every hand played. I don’t believe anything else factors into ranking. Doesn’t seem to matter where you place or what you win.

  14. Yes. I noticed this also. You don’t actually receive the coins you win while playing. There appears to be some unknown to me formula for how many coins you get for finishing first second or third in a tournament (no coins for fourth). The good news is you earn some coins for finishing second or third. The bad news is if you finish first and “win” 12,000 coins from the other players your coin total does not go up by 12,000. It goes up by much less.

    • ok so you’re confusing chips with coins. your 4,000 buy in gets you 4,000 chips…placing 1rst pays 6,000 coins there’s also payouts for 2’d and 3rd who also get a cut of the buy in….and no even calculating all 3 payouts doesn’t come to 16,000…the rest the house keeps…think of it like Vegas…the hbouse always gets a vig ( a cut, juice…many words for it )

      • Thanks. But that’s not how the tournament works. There is no vig. Unless the vig is everyone’s buy in except the winner. When you play the tournament everyone’s chips stay the same value until the end. Then the winner gets awarded some difficult to calculate amount. And the second place gets a difficult to calculate amount. And the third place gets a difficult to calculate amount. And fourth place gets nothing. It’s quite possible that 1-3 finishers combined get the total amount bet between them but I don’t know since I don’t have access to that data for anyone other than where I finish. And I never get the same payout from tournament to tournament. For the pickup games pogo uses the term rake instead of vig. And it comes out each hand. That I can understand.

        • I believe that the coins awarded in tournament wins is based on percentages of total amounts of bets during the game. I have noticed that my payoffs are MUCH higher after a game that has lasted a long time. 1st place wins have varied from little more than 1000 to over 6000. BTW, I thought that I did not like this game, but now I think I am getting addicted — I assume that is the purpose of the free badges!

          • Rose…I can’t even figure out how to start the game. I’ve always enjoyed poker but this is so complicated. Could you or anybody please tell me how to get started? I would really appreciate it!

    Mine sits at 26% for hours.

  16. What a horrible game. Boring and very slow. The one thing I hate the most is that out of 6 hands dealt, my first cards were always the 2 of spades and the 3 of clubs. Also, how much do you have to earn to open a town? Just another hideous Pogo game.

  17. I will not be playing this horrible game. It’s too hard to understand and you are forced to play real people. I might be more comfortable playing bits and then again maybe not!!!

  18. They just ended the Hollywood event season, that was supposed to end at midnight. I am in tier 2 in season my score still shows that i am in tier 2 but is time left Hollywood event season yes now 28 day 11 hrs. I better get 6 badges for the last one that was supposed to end a midnight.

    • No, they didn’t end the season, they extended it 4 weeks.
