Pogo has updated Pogo Daily Sudoku to add nine new in-game award badges to earn.
The badges added today are badges:
Daily Streak 365 Badge
Maintain a streak of 365 days
No Mistake Weekly Special 600 Badge
Finished 600 puzzles in the Weekly Special without losing lives
No Mistake Weekly Special 700 Badge
Finished 700 puzzles in the Weekly Special without losing lives
Weekly Special 170 Badge
Cleared 170 Weekly Specials
Weekly Special 180 Badge
Cleared 180 Weekly Specials
Weekly Special 190 Badge
Cleared 190 Weekly Specials
Weekly Special 200 Badge
Cleared 200 Weekly Specials
Weekly Special Puzzle 1650 Badge
Finished 1650 puzzles in Weekly Special
Weekly Special Puzzle 1700 Badge
Finished 1700 puzzles in Weekly Special

When I played this morning, I received 10 new badges, the 9 shown above and a badge for No Mistake Weekly Special 500 Badge. The badge is like the 2 shown above, but has a 500 on it, instead of 600 or 700.
I was surprised when I received the 365 streak badge since I had my streak broken when the game stopped working last year, and then again, a few months ago. I guess that the database kept track even when the game wasn’t working properly. I did continue to play every single day so guess I did the right thing.

The No Mistake Weekly Special 500 Badge was originally released back in Oct 2021. I too received it again today after already earning it years ago. So Pogo has accidentally duplicated the badge. Perhaps they meant it to be 550.

I got the 365 badge as well…n last time there was an update I also got a badge that exceeded my streak….I think Pogo’s just counting Puzzles done n not the actual streak…W/E…its a win here :)

I got no badges for weekly specials and yet I have not missed a puzzle in over 2 years….. I got the ones with the hearts and the 365 but that is all. What are weekly specials?? I have done every day for over 2 years.

The weekly specials are on the trophy tab. There is a daily puzzle. that progresses from easy level on Sunday to hard level on Saturday

Lizz: The weekly specials are the games accessed via the trophy at the bottom of each day’s puzzles. If you click on the trophy, you can see a display that says “weekly special ends in” and displays the number of days and hours left in your current week’s special.

In that case, I should have gotten the weekly specials badges. I have done almost every weekly special since the beginning, and have every monthly badge from the very beginning after just finishing up making up the months when the game went down. I received only one of the badges for the 170 Weekly Special.

yes, I have done all the trophy badges except for, I think, I counted 3 days in the last 3 years and those were in 2022

I looked at these badges and I went to my Game Award Album and looked at what I have and have not earned in this game, and I’m confused and can’t figure out this one thing: What is the difference between the yellow/gold badges for “Weekly Special # Badge – Cleared # Weekly Specials” and those blue badges “Weekly Special Puzzle # Badge – Finished # puzzles in Weekly Special” ???
I’ve thought about it until my brain hurts…lol…probably having a senior moment…but I can’t figure out what the two different criteria are.

Here is my take (who really knows?) Weekly special easy, hard, OR medium counts special puzzles done at EACH of those levels. Weekly special puzzles counts ALL levels of special weekly puzzles easy, hard AND medium. Weekly special #1 through #78 is for whole weeks of specials done without missing a day.

Thanks Bety – got it:
1) Yellow/Gold badges which say “cleared” are for doing the week of Weekly Special puzzles, Sunday through Saturday (so the 200 badge means you did 200 weeks of them)
2) Blue Badges which say “Finished” are for completing individual puzzles (so 1650 means you completed 1,650 puzzles)
If you get the (above) 200 yellow badge that means you did 200 weeks of puzzles and consequently 1,400 individual puzzles as well.
It’s a pretty cool math word problem…lol.

I read this a few times and If I understand you correctly the yellow ones are for complete week and the blue ones are for how many day you did…like if you did all 7 days in a week you would have accumulated 7 blues for the week and 1 yellow for the week.

Just to be clear, the red, gold and blue badges are for weekly special (the puzzles accessed via the trophy at the bottom) not for the regular daily puzzles visible on the calendar.

Those two words is what messed me up too. To me, cleared and finished in a game are synonymous.
I think the way they used them is that the Weekly Special is a Sunday to Saturday group, so clearing them means you cleared the whole weeks’ worth
Then on the blue, they use finished as in you finished individual puzzles within the Weekly Special grouping.
They need, and have needed for a long time, a proofreader/editor type person. It drives me crazy sometimes.
