Michele M says
I haven’t played Risk yet, so I’m going to wing it.
I am so far behind on Jet set that I will just play new (to me) levels.
For Jungle Gin, I will play the robot.
Sonja says
I love Gin but underknocking is all luck since I have no friends to team up with and can’t figure out double browsing. Best hint I have when playing a bot is hold on to an ace and hope for the best.
Sigh, the 3rd week of the event is JSS to get 2,000 cards. Great timing Pogo! And so overused.
I will not play Risk. I don’t know how to play nor do I want to learn how to play. I hated it as a kid and would hate it more as an old lady. Of all the games Pogo could bring back, they chose this one.
bulldog#71 says
I feel the same way about Risk, I tried to learn the game as a kid and an adult. Still cannot figure it out!!!
Jo Ann White says
i dont like risk either
theshroad says
I agree but I will give it a try. I did play the original in pogo but really didn’t understand it. I got enough to do whatever challenge I was working on ~ that’s the only reason I’ll play.

I double browse by using Firefox and Google Chrome. I play my account and my husband’s. However, if anyone needs help on the Jungle Gin badge, you can message me, I’ll play with you to help you earn it.
I don’t look forward to Risk either.
And I wish they would add more ranks to Jet Set Solitaire.
Shelia says
I tottally agree Sonja about the RISK challenge as I am also an old lady lol (76) yrs old. Never palyed Risk and never wanted to.
patray says
Add me to the “old lady” list, but I have you beat Shelia, I’m 85 and I also tried Risk on the old and better version of Pogo, but couldn’t get it. So I will just ignore Risk. At my age, stress is the last thing I need. I play pogo word and number games to keep the old brain working and do fine, but games like Quinn’s and Garden Blast upset me so I avoid them. Good Luck to all who enjoy Risk.
Cheryl M Hoop says
I feel the same on this risk game
Velinda Johnson says
I won’t play Risk either last time it was played a friend had to play it with me she was getting frustrated with me cause i didn”t understand the game so i will not be playing it.
bulldog#71 says
HI,
Is she still your friend??? lol.
Geneva says
I am under knocking in the game but it’s not adding any score for me – still at 1 and have under knocked plenty of times, on this week’s game.
Sal says
Make sure you are NOT knocking. Only Bot or other player can Knock.
Cheryl M Hoop says
Having the same problems on jungle gin
Ellie says
I have no friends either, but it was easy to get the gin badge. Just set your cards up so you only have an ace or lowest card left to play and just wait til Bot knocks. It will backfire sometimes when he goes gin thou!
FADEDWILDROSE says
Risk Military Points: awards are 15 for playing or 45 for winning. Plus 25 for the task on the top of the list, 50 for middle task, and 100 for bottom and also 650 for ranking up.
Sal says
650 Military Points for Ranking Up in Risk sounds like a Winner. !!! Only 3 games to rank up should be very doable.
FADEDWILDROSE says
Risk strategy (for beginners): Regardless of long-term goal, your early goal should be to control and defend a continent (to earn extra armies). On each turn try to win 1 battle to get a card(trading in cards=extra armies). Do not do more than 1 battle in a turn unless there is a specific chance to affect continent control (yours or theirs), strengthen your defense, or of course finish winning the game. I recommend playing with the game set to 3 players (2 bots and you) and game mode “Capital”. Currently it is better to stop a bot from controlling a continent than it is to break their control because Pogo has still not corrected erroneous army awarding (first reported over 3 months ago). Australia is easiest to defend with only 1 border; South America is next with only 2 borders. If you cannot control a continent, you may want to restart the game.
Sonja says
Too confusing but thanks for trying to explain. Just not my type of game and don’t care about getting badges or certainly not pogis anymore. I’m too old. 🙂
patray says
Ditto
mommalove44433 says
Agree. Not even gonna activate it!! Hate the game😄
Beverly says
I won a game, which took quite awhile, and got only 45/500.
I ended up with about 12 cards, but I don’t understand this part. I click on everything there (top and bottom rows) but it just repeatedly says No Trade
Beverly says
Sorry… I’ve just realized that your comment was written Sunday, before Wednesday’s challenges were out.
Cher says
I need major help with Risk. I tried it. I have no clue how to play it. I read about it and still haven’t a clue. If someone can explain how you get military points, I would appreciate it so much. Thanks in advance!
Cher. 😊
MLadyD7 says
Love Gin and Love RISK! yay! Not as fond of Jet Set, but of course will do it 🙂
jarcap says
Have not played risk yet. What is the best way to get this badge.
Catania1966 says
Just a heads up for those doing/not doing the Risk badge – you need 500 military points. Assuming the Rank military points count – I would play until you are 1 rank point ie 1 game away from ranking up – you rank up whether you win or lose. So get to within 1 game of ranking up – then stop. Wait until the badge comes out then play 1 game – win or lose – you should get the badge. For those who have never played you need to play 3 games to get to rank 1 – therefore play 2 games – win or lose – then stop and wait for badge to come out
Hope this helps some people
Brenda M. says
Thank you, it helps me a LOT!! 🙂
Sal says
Catania1966 Thanks for a very helpful post.
Leslie says
That is the tip of the year for me! Thank you so much!
I don’t play this game, it plays me so tomorrow I will be on level #1 probably forever!
mommalove44433 says
Now that sounds plausible. Thanks
Sal says
Great idea but didn’t work for me. I had over 900 points, Ranked up. But only got 110 credit for badge. Don’t understand game or scoring. Another half hour of my life wasted.
Beverly says
What do you mean? Wait until the badge comes out?
So get to within 1 game of ranking up – then stop. Wait until the badge comes out then play 1 game – win or lose – you should get the badge.
I need 1 rank point to rank up.
caross5623 says
I find it easier to underknock in gin when I play Oklahoma style.
TP says
i’ll second that thougth
JOE PELTIER says
Only jet set 4 me as don’t like the other 2.
mdbrcfan says
Tried it do not understand the game of Risk will not play it
sas says
me either….how do you move? how do you attack/defend? There is nothing going on that I can see except a rotating turn of some kind. To do what? How does one play? attack? defend?
So far as I can tell there is nothing going on….except numbers change from 1 to 2 to 3 etc when you click on them?
what’s going on?
MissNomer says
I am going to tell everyone I am a pacifist. That way, I still look knowledgeable…but can skip the “risk.”
cristy says
Got you…I don’t like Risk either and clearly won’t play.
FADEDWILDROSE says
The tutorial under the question mark on the game’s landing page (after the first “play” button) is pretty good. You attack by clicking on your territory and then on the adjacent territory that you want to attack. After you are done attacking, the next phase allow you to transfer armies (fortify) from one territory to any connected territory (to improve defense or next attack position). The 3 modes you can choose are “classic” = conquer all the map, “capital” = own all capitals, and “secret mission” where your are given a mission to accomplish.
Sal says
I can’t find “How to play RISK” anywhere. There seems to be an assumption that everyone knows like everyone knows how to play canasta or spades. There are descriptions of Goals but not HOW to achieve those goals. All I remember is you roll the dice. It’s actually very easy to play but impossible to explain. LOL I think/hope that 3 weekly badges means it is optional?? and not necessary to complete weekly album?
Sal says
Me too. Took me half an hour of watching paint try to figure out what to click on.
Sal says
dry NOT try. Sorry can’t edit these comments and didn’t notice typo.
loretta says
want be playing risk either
bigfun says
Reading these comments just make Risk even more confusing, so I will be skipping this one
Renee says
I’ve “underknocked” opponents in Jungle Gin 4 times and the wins are not showing up …. Am I misunderstanding “underknocking?” I have knocked and have had fewer cards than my opponent?
Denise says
underknocking might be when the opponent knocks and you have a lower number than they do.
Ruth says
I am not getting credit either
Carla says
Risk Badge:
The simplest and quickest way I know how and I am already rank 6 or 7.
I play Singleplayer, Capital, and Number of players 3, I turn Manual Placement to Off. (this way all the men are place automatically on the board and I don’t have to do them one by one). Then I just go after the 2 bots Capitals, sometimes they are pretty close to where I am. I build up my Capital and I have another one that is kind of close to the others and reinforce those. I can usually win the 2 Capital pretty quick if they seem close to mine. If I don’t like the placement for the capitals from the beginning and they are too far apart I close out that game and start another one till I get a placement that looks good to me..
That is the best advice I can give.. Hope it helps. Good Luck

I hate this game. I hate this game. Let me make this clear: I HATE THIS GAME. I don’t have a clue what I am supposed to be doing, and I feel like the stupidest stupid person that was ever classified as stupid. Did I mention I hate this game. No amount of instruction would help me. You can’t cure stupid, and I never did like taking risks. There, I said it all.
