Do you re-do badges? If so, why or which types?
The weekend open thread is a regular feature at BadgeHungry. Every weekend, we answer the discussion question above, and chat about anything game-related. It’s a great place to test the waters of commenting and introduce yourself, ask for help with a game or challenge, or talk about your games and make friends.
See you in the comments!

I do not redo my badges. I play for the challenge. Once I get it there is no point to doing it again.

I used to redo badges long ago. That was when we played for points. I still am not happy with constellations. Maybe Pogo will listen to the members one day.

I see no point in replaying a badge. If I just want to play the game, then I just play for fun
etfr29 says
I do not, in fact I don’t get all the badges offered completed anymore at one time i would have done them all but now some of the games I just can’t get thru and don’t enjoy them.
Deb M says
I do not redo badges. There are enough new badges to do! Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Sal says
I used to redo some if you get additional Pogis for repeat. When that ended, What’s the point??

I used to – I used to redo challenges all the time…for tokens and for fun! I had a few weekly challenges, I did hundreds of times. Now…there is NO reason to do them more than once. There are even some badges, I have a hard time mustering up the enthusiasm to do even once. They keep making the requirements more and more unnecessarily complicated and time consuming, for a “reward” of next-to-no pogis
I miss playing games that I enjoy…simply because I enjoy them. I miss waiting for and being excited about new badges and albums. I miss watching chat scroll by out of the corner of my eye, especially from players around the world, in languages other than English. I missssssssssss new releases of mini items, especially at this time of year (I wouldn’t spend a dime on Black Friday shopping, but I couldn’t resist twinkling mini trees and falling mini snowflakes). Remember when Pogo was fun? *sigh*
marcybookoo says
Me too. My thoughts exactly. The old Pogo was the best.
Silnet says
Back in the day I used to redo some weekly as personals only in games I liked but not Mix and Match badges, or maybe I did a few times and just for the tokens. But now that we get nothing for redoing them I don’t even think about spending my time doing it.
Besides I don’t have time anymore now that pogo floods us with tons of event challenges

Congratulations John on Winning the “Get your Motor Runnin'” Mini Contest this week;. Fun week indeed 😉
Thanks as always Lura for a fun topic each week 🙂
There is no good reason that I can see to do a badge over! Yes, years ago when we had “personal’s” to do and get tokens and such I did do a badge over. Usually one that was very easy and gave me lots of tokens..
I miss those day.

I do not replay badges. After I have completed the challenge it seems a waste of time for me to redo it. That just might be my crazy idea, but working for a challenge is more exciting to me than redoing something I have already completed so see no point to it.

I, too, used to redo badges to get the extra tokens from them. Or I would re-activate a challenge just to have a goal to reach when playing a favorite game for ranks. I ran many badges down to 0 tokens.
But now, sometimes I only redo a badge if I have a counter badge to get for a game. Sometimes, I think, when there is a requirement for a badge, Pogo makes it harder to get that requirement. I know it probably can’t be true….but I would still activate a badge that would require a different goal to “confuse Pogo” as to what not to give me to get a badge, lol. I was surprised how many times it seemed to work! 🙂

I do not replay badges. I’m lucky if I can complete the new ones for the worthless challenges. I miss the old POGO. I am as many of the players retired and living on a fix income. POGO is becoming very expensive. There are even some badges I was not able to complete.
patray says
I used to redo badges in the good OLD Pogo when personal challenges were part of the weekly game.! If I was trying to rank out in a game, I would choose a badge in that game to make it more interesting to achieve the rank. Now I won’t even try for a badge if it is in one of the games where you need to buy gems in order to finish.
Jgs98765 says
I did in the old Pogo because it made things interesting while I tried to rank out. With the new Pogo, ranking out isn’t one of my goals. Now I try to get Pogis which you can’t get when replaying challenges.

Who has time? I have a feeling that even if you lived alone (only responsible for yourself), didn’t work (retired and/or wealthy) with servants (for cooking, cleaning, washing), there wouldn’t be enough time to ever get “caught up” with all the activities Pogo has us doing. Of course, it’s self-inflicted pressure, as no one is forcing anyone to complete challenges for badges or to get through events.
As others, I used to re-do badges. I gave myself ridiculous goals, and have a “2” beside all the weeklies from 2003 to 2008, and the Starter albums, and a lot of the Premium Albums. I did that when I was trying to get through ranks, to keep it interesting.
But now? Like I said before, who has time?
jtsr1155 says
I don’t redo badges either. there’s no point in redoing them because there’s no pogis to get.So why bother?
vashondude says
I used to when you could win additional tokens for replaying badges. Now there’s no incentive for replaying badges.
noattentionsp says
like the others, i used to replay them for tokens but not since the switch to the pogi system.

Has anyone been able to get past game six on the new Peggiel challenge? Game keeps freezing midway.
