Update to “My Collection” Now Available to Some Players

Last night, Pogo brought the “My Collection” feature over from the classic Pogo site to the Classic Library tab of the new Pogo site for a small number of players.

To see if you have access to the new albums, go to your Profile page on the new Pogo and click on the Classic Library tab. If you have it, your My Collection section will say “Explore your Albums on the new Pogo.”

If you don’t have access to the new albums yet, don’t worry. This is something Pogo will be rolling out to all players over the coming weeks. And here’s a sneak peek of the albums:

  2. No they didn’t, not for me. I think they could “soft launch” to 99% of Pogoians and I still wouldn’t get it until much later, lol. Whatever! On the bright side, hopefully this means by the time I get something all or most of the bugs have been worked out.

      • I’m glad you can still laugh a little bit, weak lol. I’m so sorry about this whole debacle, my ardent hope is that they can put it back the way it was for you and the other folks. Believe me if they’d changed mine I’d be so teary eyed I probably couldn’t type. I’m all about my badges and I am one who does go back and look through my albums or scan through the pages of My Earned Badges. It’s fun to see some of the old badges, some beautiful, some very clever.

        I think most of us have come to accept the major changes because there had to be major changes. But to do something like this and change it so drastically and just miss so much is just wrong.

      • Love it Suz, LOL. I’m afraid they are going to mess up the order in the MnM albums again. I just finished fixing the last “rearrangement” they did earlier this year.

      • From what I have read, I think I am glad I didn’t get it. They just don’t understand what those of us who actually play the games would like to see. Perhaps they should ask for some input and listen/read it before they do things! That would be way too logical, however!

      • I sooooo agree…for I got the “change” to “My Collection” and it is missing many elements I enjoyed, i.e., the snapshot possible use, the changes are lost unless saved each time, etc.

        Oh well..I’ll trudge along with this change like everything else going on with Pogo.

        BTW…will more items will be added as before in the future????

        • This thread has nothing to do with mini items.

          This thread is about change to the “My Collection” page where all our badges and badge albums are stored.

          But to answer your question, no there will NEVER be any NEW mini items.

  3. I got this but now I am only able to go back to the old My Collection by hitting “Find a Badge & Gifting”

    • You can get to “Find a Badge” that way, but as soon as you hit “My Collection” you get thrown back to the new page.

  4. Yeah. Lucky me. I seem to be in the soft launch/release for all things lately. Had I known, I would have looked at Badge Central one last time. Know what’s missing? The challenges for the next week. More things to get used to whether we like it or not. A lot of the animated badges don’t play for me any more. Nor can you see what game they came from. Can’t flip the badges to see. More disappointment. I wish I could say I was pleased. Anne

    • I was looking at the current weekly album (2022) and it did show the upcoming challenges for next week–Turbo 21 & Jewel Academy.

      It is different but I don’t mind it because I was able to see all the badges I had won. As usual with “new Pogo” it requires more clicking to see what you want to see.

  5. Pogo has finally done something that some of us will not be able to live with.

    I am heartbroken over what they have done to my collection.

    There are badges missing, albums not in order, no names on completed badges, no way to see game award badges that we haven’t earned. There is no longer a contents page in the M&M Albums, they just put the badges you haven’t completed at the top of the album page.

    Please, please, please post your thoughts in the Pogo forums.

    • I found a way to view your Game Award badges not won yet. Go like you did before to go back to the classic. badge My Collection
      1. Just like before, you will click on your avatar to reveal your dropdown menu
      2. Choose “My Profile”
      3. Click on the gear icon to the right of your username to reveal your settings dropdown menu
      4. Click “Find a Badge & Gifting”
      5. On “Choose a badge type:” change to “Game Award”
      6. on “Choose a Game” you can select the fame you desire.
      7. UNder “View Options” you can click / unclick “Include badges I’ve earned”

      • Yes, until that page is removed. And not all games are listed in the drop down menu, specifically the newer games.

      • That works. Too bad not all games are on the drop down menu – the new games like Monopoly Sudoku, Lumeno, and Garden Blast are not included. I don’t know which others and I can’t look right now – they’ve given me a HUGE headache today and I don’t get headaches.

    • Hi Suz. I was truly heartbroken about the Mini Mall. I cried about it. And with the badge changes, I’m not yet to tears, but I’m close. What they are doing lately is like 52 Card Pickup. Just tossing it out there and see what you can find. I know I didn’t comment on Sconnie’s thread but another player’s, which you saw and also commented on. I was first to jaw about the Mini Mall and thought I’d leave it to others to comment (negatively, I’m sure). But I will, since you ask, and I may just do a copy and paste of my one comment. Very sad about these changes with those in charge not giving a fig about what we think. I used to buy every badge there was until I retired in 2010. They’ll miss your money, for sure, but also mine. I made a decision the other day (chatted with a close friend about it) that I will no longer continue with events that contain games I abhor. I’ve done them all in the past, but no longer. Badges are ugly anyway.

        I still have tears in my eyes over this. I always said that messing with my badges would be the final straw. I’ll finish up what I’ve started, at least on my 2nd account.

        I just noticed that all my M&M Completion Badges are not showing in any album. They are still in my badge count and my Rewards, but not anywhere to be found on My Collection.

        • By the way, my Pogo name is as85382. You mean to say that you can’t find every Super Secret Badge for the hundreds of M&M Albums you completed?

          Now I’m afraid to look. My saying on my Pogo profile is “Super Secret Badge Hunter.” Don’t know if I can take much more today.

          • Anne, sorry to tell you but they no longer appear in our Special Edition Album. They DO appear in our Rewards, but at this point they don’t appear in any of our albums.

        • Oh my gosh. I just checked the Special Edition Album and they’re not there. Good thing I’ve kept track of them by date earned so that I can happily scroll my life away to find one that I care to look at.

          Of course, Lura has all of them on here, which is really what started my goal of having so many of my favorites. Please Lura…don’t eliminate those listings of badges. I come here more than once daily to view all of the Super Secret Badges. The older ones were so clever. Today’s? Dull Dull Dull with zero creativity. I have them listed as “Blah.”

        • It’s a hot mess. With all the years they have talked about moving it to the “new” Pogo, and promising access to everything, you would think it would be complete and easy to navigate. People are missing tons of stuff, categories are poorly organized, and it seems the ability to take snapshots and save creations is gone, and there is no way to add a caption. Hot mess.

    • I have posted the following on the forum – I doubt that it will stay there for long.

      I cannot decide whether this attempt by Pogo to transfer our collection of badges to the new site is either ignorant or incompetent.
      The only thing that makes Pogo different to other gaming sites is the badges. We can all go to other sites and play more or less the same games for free – if it was only about playing the games. But for most of us it is about the badges. And like all collectors we cherish our collections. We purchase our badges to fill our albums with a plan in mind, we name our albums, it matters to us.
      Game award badges are just as important as mix and match badges. Its what keeps us playing for hours on the site, and what prompts the purchase of mix and match badges to ease the boredom of long sessions in a game. I have 6,700 game award badges that I have spent hours and hours achieving. I regularly go back to old pogo to check on outstanding game award badges that I need to work on. I am not alone. How can Pogo possibly think that Game Award Badges have no value and that they will not be a feature of new Pogo? If you cannot find out which games have any Game Award Badges to earn – why would you play the game?
      I also fail to understand why you are not transferring to the new site the same features and functions that the old site has regarding our badge collections and which we still use. How difficult can it be? You have had plenty of time to work it out. If the Pogo team is not up to the programming challenges, then outsource it. Find a programmer who can achieve the transition.
      What you have released is not fit for purpose. It is not what we want. It is a very poor attempt to replicate a system that worked perfectly on the old site.

      • Your message is still there, and you didn’t say anything that will cause it to be removed. What you said is the truth.

        The people that designed the new page probably don’t have more than a few badges in 1 album. They have no idea what’s important to a badge collector.

        • I can’t play Pogo Daily Sudocku anymore because I don’t have any idea how to play it. What is a solver. I must be the dumb one in the pack because I don’t have any idea what it is. This makes me so sad because I would get up every morning get a cup of tea and play that game, Please put it back.

          • A solver is a website that gives you the answer to a Sudoku puzzle. I use sudoku-solutions.com.

            I use my phone to take a picture of the puzzle. Then at the “solver” site, I input the numbers as appear on original puzzle. When complete, hit solve button and the answers are quickly provided. Take picture of completed puzzle and go back to original puzzle and fill in the answers. Easy peasy!

          • There are many sudoku solvers. If you have a computer, Just google/search for one. (this is a popular one). https://www.sudoku-solutions.com/
            click on the “cell” enter the number from the puzzle / continue clicking on each Solver Cell to enter each Number from PogoDailySud / then hit Solve

    • I made my very first post in the forums yesterday due to this awful change and your request. I also did a second post today after searching and being unable to locate my completion badges for yearly albums of weekly challenges and super secret badges for Mix and Match album completions. I truly hope Pogo listens to us and makes changes to this new format. Thank you Suz for all your help with all things Pogo …..without you and others on this site I would not have achieved many of the challenges. Thank you Lura for this site.

      • I have found the completion badges for the weekly albums in my Special Edition Album, but my 348 M&M completion badges are still missing. I had taken a screenshot of my page the night before, as soon as I saw the article on Pogo stating that it was coming. The number of badges on my SE Album in that shot and what shows now is a difference of 348 badges.

        Hoping, but not holding my breath.

    • thanks for putting the forum link on BH Suz – I made my position loud and clear to Pogo on my post – they actually posted it – which I found very funny as a LOT of my posts on the forum are deleted/never posted – I think you can guess why lol

      I can only hope that if enough people/paying members complain,Pogo may reverse their decision and put things back the way they were OR let us access what we could before even if it is say archived or moved somewhere.

  9. Wow, this sounds/looks even worse than the original “soft launch” badge page…which has seen vast improvement, I must admit. It is far more intuitive than it was the first week. Active challenges no longer shows every available event badge when you aren’t inside the event game, events as a whole have been moved further down the page….its wayy better than it was as you can now look at it and see what you want to see and then scroll for other things. I hope it stays that way. Hopefully they will do the same with this new album debacle…and actually make it USEFUL instead of USELESS as that’s how it sounds. I am glad I didn’t get this soft launch. I need to activate badges to finish albums again today and it appears as tho I need classic pogo to do that LOL.

    I am so sorry Suz and everyone else that has to put up with this nonsense made up by people that don’t have a single clue. I don’t understand the business model…I understand EA games business model…put out mediocre games and live off multiple microtransactions until doomsday….but the things they do to the PAYING pogo members make no sense. I swear a requirement for employment at pogo is that you have NEVER played pogo a day in your life and never earned a single badge. It’s the only thing that makes sense to me. How else could they release things so dumb so frequently that ruin everything we PAID for and depend on? How else to explain the sheer volume of “duh moments” particularly over the last couple of years?

    At any rate, I am so sorry for those of you who have to suffer thru this, and I hope i am on the long wait list for it. 🙁

    I’d scrap the whole new style project and turn back to ”classic”.

    One more funny thing:
    I’ve always paid with my creditcard but a few months ago payment through cc was refused.
    So I went through the process of setting up a PayPal account to pay, and guess what?
    Paypal uses the same creditcard for payments to Pogo…

    I’m seriously considering not renewing my 19 year Club Pogo membership.

    • Maybe that indicates Pogo doesn’t have proper staffing in place? I say that because I’ve yet to receive my 1000 gem packages. (I know, up to 2 wks.)
      I think you’re better off, daim. I’ve always used PayPal as an extra layer–not only for Pogo but for all online transactions. One just never knows “who” is in the office at the other end handling (or looking over someone’s shoulder at) your cc info—you’re also more protected from randomly surfing computer hackers. Unauthorized charges may be protected by the cc, but no one deserves that hassle..

      • No, you are not receiving 1000 gems, unless you purchased them.

        Overnight we were gifted a badge in Spades that is worth 1,000 Pogis when you complete it. That is what we received for purchasing gems. And it’s 1 per account.

  12. I saw it hate it. But I don’t have it either. Which IMO is a good thing. I love
    how our collection is set up. But the new one NOPE can’t find …….
    Lots of games like cookie and Jewel A I search to find what badges I’m still
    missing caused rank out but there are so many more badges in those games.
    The no names is what’s really throwing me. Just knowing it’s coming is killing
    me. Bah pogo always changing and if they were good changes great but nada
    usually is.

  13. i have not gotten any of the changes being made of late – but just reading about them just makes me want to SCREAM –

    NO ONE who is making these changes has given one thought to the paying customers
    YEARS of “work/play” just poof ! all my albums are named and numbered now i am to understand that all my organization will just disappear……………..

    instead of looking forward to Pogo each day i am afraid to log in to see what has gone away

    i understand change will/ has to happen to some extent – but is seems to me that they have gone into each individual account and changed personal information – and/or how it is presented i am so dishearten, disappointed, angry that i have run out of adjectives – and they do not understand how the information they are changing is SO IMPORTANT to each user

    they do not know who their customers are. years of payments and playing are nothing.

  14. For those that don’t have the update, here are the things that I’ve found so far…

    Everything on the new Pogo is big and bright, except the new collection page. Think of a photo of you with someone you love, take all the color out and remove the facial features. You are left with a black & white photo with stick figures. That is what the new collection page reminds me of. It’s a black page with black tiles on it and white print.

    The completed badges in an album no longer show the name of the badge. You can only see the name if you haven’t completed it. We have complained for a couple of years that we want the NAME of the badge to show in our rewards. Now you can’t find it anywhere.

    There is no longer a contents page in the M&M Albums. The challenges that haven’t been completed yet have been moved to the top when you open an album. Pogo has completely rearranged how my albums were set up. And I have always made sure that badges were added to my albums according to the date they were released, starting with the first M&M Badge in November 2006.

    Not all of my M&M Albums are in order and it has nothing to do with whether they are closed or open. Here is how my last 5 M&M Albums are shown, going from left to right…363, 361, 362, 360, 359.

    All of the M&M Completion Badges are MISSING from the Special Edition Album. I had 348 of them when I signed off of Pogo last night. They still show in my Rewards, but do NOT appear in any album.

    The badges that are showing in the Special Edition Album aren’t worth a hoot. You have no way of seeing what it was for, no name, no description, nothing.

    The Game Award Album is useless. You can no longer see what badges you haven’t earned, or the requirements necessary to earn them.

    Once you have completed a Weekly challenge you can no longer see the NAME of the badge.

    And why are the Starter Albums and the 2003 Weekly Album at the bottom of the page? They are titled Past Albums 2002-2003. The 1st badge that Pogo ever released was on June 11, 2003. The 1st Starter Album was released on April 4, 2014 and the last Starter Album was released on April 14, 2015. Therefore the Starter Albums don’t belong down there, and the 2002 is completely wrong as there were no badges is 2002.

    I just found something else that is missing. This is something minor, but when you add it to everything else it just makes Pogo look like they do everything half baked.

    At the top of the page you would see your total badges and a breakdown by category. This is from my 2nd account that has not been affected yet. They never added up correctly, but the important categories, Weekly and M&M, were correct.

    Wednesday Challenges: 2191
    Mix-n-Match: 1714
    Premium: 661
    Game Award: 1939
    Special Edition: 1229

    I’m sure that I’ll find other things that are wrong or missing but I’ve looked at that page enough for 1 day.

  15. I have not checked mine yet, but I’m so glad to see they are FINALLY trying to do something with our albums.
    Hopefully they can put rank badges in order by date . It was always a mess before.

    • They don’t even tell you what you earned a game award badge for, not even the game I won the rank 30 badge in Addiction Solitaire yesterday. When I look in my album all I see is an image that says Rank 30 Badge. If I didn’t remember where I won it yesterday I would have NO IDEA what game it was for.

      They are not trying to do anything to make the albums better. It’s like the new Mini section, just all lumped together with no way to sort or look for anything.

      This is the opposite of what you were hoping they would do. Let me know how you feel after you see your collection page.

  16. No!!! This is going to be the last straw…for sure! I don’t want them to touch anything in the badges! They’ve already destroyed too much!

    They HAVE to be trying to phase out Pogo! There’s no way anybody would make so many awful decisions…”by mistake.”

  17. I went ahead and put my 4-cent’s worth (inflation) on the message board, Moms, but I noticed a slight echo. Hardly anyone was commenting. I just posted (it’s around 9 p.m. here) and so far there are only 2 pages of comments.

    Have they lost that many customers, or does no one really care, but us BadgeHungry folks? Doesn’t look good for us if we wanted to overwhelm them into reaction with a tsunami of negativity.

    • This is much more likely because most people haven’t experienced it nor do they keep up with forums here or at Pogo and are blissfully unaware of the impending doom that’s about to be unleashed upon them.

      • And – When you look at questions players ask, it would seem many are unfamiliar with all the features available (formerly) on Pogo to poke around and look at things to plan/strategize/improve their play experience.
        Classic case of “You don’t know what you got till it’s gone”

  18. Pogo – This has been a tough week for changes and I am finding it difficult to support you.
    First you changed Pogo Daily Sudoku without any warning…then I went to find Badge Central – just to find out what the badge challenges would be next week…and alas…a completely new page. Then I played Mahjong Sanctuary and in the middle of the game – needed to buy more powerups – that I swear I have done all the time…and could not accomplish this.
    May I suggest you have your Customer Service person review Level 1 in keeping the customer happy.

I am so sorry to all the members who got the new update, I am dreading this change, I spent time this evening going back over my albums and looking at my minis, the thought of losing so many things, makes me ill, I have spent many hours and money to aquire my collection, and the thought of someone who probably doesn’t give a darn thought this would be a good idea.

    I sure hope they put a halt to this change, or put someone in charge that can make the changes correctly, its a real shame for players effective. I truly feel bad, I know Suz had the most complete collection and I am so sorry it got all messed up for you., sending prayers that someone in Pogo land will get this fixed.

  20. I have been reading all the comments regarding the changes in Pogo, especially in regard to our badges and albums, and it makes me ill, I don’t have as many badges as most of you, but I sure don’t want any of them to go missing, I really feel bad for everyone who got these changes.

    I know Suz has to be sick to her stomach, as she has been playing the longest and had her albums all in order, I feel so bad for you, hopefully some how it will get corrected.

  22. I’m confused by everyone’s utter shock and disppointment with anything that has taken place on this site since EA has taken over Pogo and changed everything since the Java thing vanished and the new site was introduced.

    I challenge one person to stand up and say there’s one thing, and 1️⃣ thing only, that they’re pleased with since the inception of everything HD. Whether it’s the games, the chat, the badges or anything else for that fact, I personally CANNOT be onboard. There’s a good reason for all the freebie badges/events that keep coming our way, but nothing tells the story more than looking up and noticing somewhere around 20K people playing on a regular basis instead of 200K participants.

    NEED i SAY MORE? All you can do is really smile because it happened ‘n not because it’s over! 🙄

    • If the new Collection page was just fugly I could get over that.

      But my shock and disappointment is based on the fact that almost nothing on the page is correct, and that they rolled it out without checking a few random accounts to make sure the numbers matched what was on the old page.

    • This is such a common error and the biggest myth on Pogo …”since EA took over Pogo”….EA has probably owned Pogo the entire time you have been a member…Before Badges, Before Wednesdays challenges…Before Club Pogo…there was EA…who purchased Pogo from “Ten” (Total Entertainment Network) way back in March of 2001.

      Many Pogo players associate the “takeover” took place when the sign in method changed…when that took place EA had already owned Pogo for over a decade and everything Club Pogo was created while they owned it.

      • It’s not so much that EA has owned Pogo as it is that EA has now taken a much more active hand in running Pogo. The new signup and all the changes since including this new site makes that evident. In the end, EA is the parent company and they are responsible. for everything.

  23. It just keeps getting worse. I decided to check out my M&M Badges on that awful new page. According to Pogo I have 5,519 completed M&M Badges. It’s amazing that when I took a screen shot on Wednesday evening I had 7,202 completed M&M Badges. Wonder what happened to the other 1,683???

    If I had to take a guess I would say that they are from games no longer on the site. But they should still count as I purchased and completed them all on the Pogo site.

    At this point I don’t even want to finish what I’ve started. Pogo you just don’t know what you have done.

    • Suz, there were exactly 1,686 mix-n-match badges released for 108 games that are now retired from pogo.

      I sorted my spreadsheet by games last night and got the numbers for each game if you want all 108 game titles.

  24. After finishing the last 3 of the 48 Garden Fresh badges I noticed that badges 25-27 and 40-42 don’t show up in the SE album, but the Eggplant badge is there, as well as an MnM completion badge (I used the Classic view).

    • Those 6 badges are ones that you purchased and they will appear in your M&M Albums.

        Only the first 24 badges are in the SE album.

  25. For those of you who want to create a scrapbook of their earned badges and are not affected yet by the new style ‘my collection’, I might have a solution, though it might be a bit cumbersome.
    You have to have access to Word (or a similar text processor). Open a new blank page.
    On Pogo, select ‘classic library’ and ‘browse albums’. Then select ‘see my earned badges’.
    Select ‘all badges’ and set the ‘show’ on 100.
    Select all the badges with their descriptons until you’ve reached the bottom of the page (keep left mouse button depressed and move the cursor from top left to bottom right).
    Now hit Ctrl-C. This will transfer the highlighted contents to a temp storage.
    Then, go to the blank Word page, position the cursor on the top left and hit Ctrl-V. The temp storage will be flushed to the Word document.
    Don’t forget to position the cursor on a new line under the last copied line else you might overwrite the previous page.
    Now you’ve copied all the highlighted badges with their description to Word. Save the document with a name of your choice.
    Keep repeating this with the next until you’ve processed all the pages.
    Remember, chat icons are not shown (I use these for my spreadsheet, for as long as it’s possible).
    It might not be a solution you want, but at least you got a book with badges to browse through and remenisce how user-friendly Classic Pogo has been.

    “what are the major pain points” of the new “my collection”
    And he is inviting us to email him directly to explain it.
    I don’t honestly know what else to say other than what I put in my post, so I’m a bit taken aback by his request, as I think its pretty clear what our “pain points” are – but maybe he just doesn’t understand.
    Maybe we need to try again, in simpler language for someone who patently doesn’t understand what we are saying.

    • I sent him an email last night. It took me the better part of 3 hours, but I made sure that I explained everything, and didn’t miss any of the points mentioned in the thread b/c each one of them is important to me,

    • I tried to write a more concise version of what I’ve said in other forum posts, hoping to make “major pain points” clear to help him present our concerns to that mysterious (clueless) “team”.

      • Being aware I did not invest the massive time and energy as those who are Serious Collectors and so could not post similar, technical details–because I don’t know them, I still wanted to support the BH call to arms. So I tried to write from a different point of view for the mucky-mucks in the business offices—as in “Formerly we were two parties who agreed on an original transaction of all that was originally offered and promised (maintenance of bookshelves),” so where was the mutual agreement to make radical changes with little notice to the bread-and-butter (serious collectors) of their operation, blah, blah, blah.. Anyway, I simply “implied” the gist of what I hoped could be understood by those folks who don’t care about feelings…I hoped to shake the cage a little bit from a different angle..

      • I never thought that shelves with colored albums could look so good 🙂

        FadedWildRose had the perfect solution…just add the new games to the drop-down menu on the Find a Badge page, and then just move it exactly like that without any other changes.

        Thanks again everyone! WE did a good job, with a lot of help from Pogo Sconnie!

        • I also suggested that in my post on the My Collection feedback thread, noting I thought it was the best overall solution to the problem.
          I also emphasized including Game Award badges in Challenge Central.
          Perhaps a few reminders to Sconnie to bring these to the team is in order (?) 🙂

    • Suz, although I was not negatively affected by the soft release of the “collection page”, I felt and still feel just as strongly as you do about retaining our traditional “badge collections page” with all our albums on the shelves. I have tears of happiness this morning as I digest this recent turn around that Pogo_Sconnie gave us. I now have some hope for the future events that will include retaining our beloved collections as we have always had them.

  30. I just noticed this change today. I’m ecstatic and a bit overwhelmed that they actually listened to us. I can now access the “See all my earned badges” hyperlink and see the games associated with each badge won! I can also now see the in-game badges I don’t have! I have access to all the badges for the old, discontinued games all organized and labeled!

    When this initial change happened, I went out and bought a little ledger book from the Dollar Tree, and started keeping a walking record of my badges earned and the game it was in.

    It’s become a habit now, so I think I’m going to continue using it, but kudos to all who made this happen!
