  1. I wonder why they keep adding new levels but not any new animals? At this rate I will be able to “buy” a whole new biome with my stars…

    • We’ll only have 75 unused stars when finishing these levels, takes 450 for an entire biome. I think they will probably figure it out by then.

    • I’d like to know why the comment “we’ve got ranks and badges” would in anyway help us with the new levels.

  2. Can someone please help me understand the “THE ANIMALS OF THE ARTIC BIOME WOULD LOVE TO MEET
    YOU, BUT FIRST YOU MUST COMPLETE ALL THE TASKS IN THE SAVANNA BIOME!
    That’s the part I don’t understand, I’m ranked at 57(not that it should make any difference I guess)but
    what tasks are they talking about, and I do my dailies every day.
    So if anyone could answer my question that would be great.

    • The tasks you need to complete are all the animal’s food/water etc. Go back to the sanctuary and if your checklist has an exclamation point on it you click on it and it will tell you what you need to complete.

    • there are animals on the side of Savanna Biome…. pick one the animals there are tasks you buy with the stars you have gotten . when you finished all the tasks and stars for the animal you go to the next animal and so on . each amimal has different tasks and stars … any else has any suggestions

    • This has nothing to do with the daily puzzle as you don’t earn stars for completing the daily puzzle.

      You have to do the numbered levels, and you have to use the stars you earn to upgrade the animals habitat. Each of the 9 animals in the Savannah biome have a list of tasks that cost a total of 50 stars. You can find those tasks in the notebook. You also get a badge for completing each of the animals in the Savannah biome.

      You cannot switch to the Arctic biome until you have completed levels 1 thru 450 and upgraded all 9 animals, using all of the 450 stars you earned.

    • Have you bought all of the animals and the drinking, eating, sleeping, etc. areas for the Savanna? My sister didn’t understand that she had to use the stars to buy all of the items in the first biome in order to open the second one.

    • You have to complete the first 450 game levels and then spend the associated 450 stars won on the tasks to build out the Savanna Biome, i.e., completing the Giraffe region, then the Elephant region, and so on. After that, you can change to the Arctic Biome and start completing game levels 451-900 and building out the Arctic Biome.

  3. I wondered the same thing. If Pogo is having trouble thinking of animals….They could do a whole section based on Australia with animals that are no where else. Emu, Kangaroo, koala, Tasmanian devil, platypus, wombat, and kookaburra just to name a few.

  4. Sadly, I think that the growing/expanding phase of Mahjong Sanctuary (new biomes with animal habitats to build out) has ended, and that we have entered a maintenance phase where occasionally 25 new levels/puzzles will be released with an associated Game Award badge to obtain. (Akin to what appears to have happened in Snowbird Solitaire.)

  5. If anyone has any suggestions or hints as to doing the sand games, that would very much be helpful, I’d really appreciate it… some I can do, but others I can’t… thanks in advance….

  9. May have found the answer. Just completed Level 950 and the Fog was not present for 951. Thank goodness it is gone and I hope it never returns!!

      • You have to go to the Artic biome. Click on the map, between the pause and daily puzzle board icon. You also must used all your stars to upgrade your animal habitats.

        Once you do that you will have access to levels 451 thru 1050.
