The wording for the First Badge — to finish 20 games — is very strange.
MysteriousMoods says
Trying to figure out what it is you need to do is strange I was just asked about this badge and I don’t know how to answer them. They’ve removed 20 flowers and haven’t received any credit. I hope they and I haven’t made a mistake in buying these badges lol.
MomsBassetHound says
You have to remove 10 or more flowers per game. And you must play 20 games that meet that requirement.

Thanks Suz, I’ll let them know

Any advice on how to remove 10 flowers-have been playing for hours- still can’t do it
Becky says
I am not able to get the Lumeno badge. I have tried to remove no less than10 flowers for hours and cannot get it. Any help would be appreciated.
MSRANGE4LIFE says
Me too, I’ve removed 10 flowers and still don’t have credit for it. Then again I’m not sure what is constituting a flower actually. The ones I think are flowers don’t give me the extra moves and others due, I’m confused. This is my last one to finish.

There’s some great tips on the marathon thread =)

Mom, i also have removed 25 or more flowers but so far have finished only 23 games. So how do you get lumeno to count them. Do they have to be combined with another power?
MomsBassetHound says
You have to remove 10 in a game, and most will not be able to do it.
Suz
FADEDWILDROSE says
WOW!! you removed 25 flowers– I have never gotten even 20 in one game and the badge does require the 10 to be in a single game. Removing a flower increases your bonus score one level, so when the upper right shows “11xScore” you should get credit even if you exit that game using the 3 bars icon upper left.

I bought the 2 Mix N Match Lumeno badges .. why does it say “cannot activate”?? Any help would be appreciated.. thanks~
MomsBassetHound says
You have to activate them while in the game or on the new & improved Challenge Central.
Pogo is aware that they can not be activated from the classic side.

I have removed 10 for 3 games and not gotten credit for any of them. How do you know how many flowers you have removed?
Teir111 says
You need to remove 11 to get credit for 1o. The way they word these is not so good.
MomsBassetHound says
No, you have to remove 10 flowers which will make it a X11 multiplier.
You start the game at X1, you remove flower #1 and you get a pop up saying that you removed the flower and that your multiplier has been increased to X2.
After removing the 2nd flower the pop up tells you that your multiplier has been increased to X3.
When you remove flower #10 you will get a pop up stating that your multiplier has been increased to X11.
That will give you 1 credit towards the badge once you run out of moves or end the game.

FADEDWILDROSE says
You only need to remove 10 flowers. The bonus will read 11x because it starts at 1 and you add 10.
FADEDWILDROSE says
Lumeno: So much confusion – here is a synopsis of many tips posted: (1) every field contains 48 round orbs and 1 flower that is spinning, has petals, and a number in its middle (2) the goal is to make matches to reduce the number inside the flower to zero, which will cause it to disappear and be replaced with a new flower containing a higher number. When you have accomplished step (2) ten times your bonus upper right will read 11xScore. To reduce that number inside the flower you can either (A) make a match with the flower and orbs of its same color OR (B) hit the flower with boosts you have created by making matches of at least 4 orbs. A boost that is seen as an arrow inside an orb will shoot down a row or column at the end of a match made with it. A boost seen with a star shape inside an orb will remove a 3X3 block around the end of a match made with it. When making a match, the number inside the flower will change to indicate what it would be at the end of that match. HINT: You can try various matches to see their effect on the flower’s number by backing a match down to its beginning as long as you do not release the mouse.

FADEDWILDROSE: that sums up the gameplay perfectly! I didn’t know what each boost did and now I do.
Thanks, Dee

Basically you want to get rid of the flower in as few moves as possible. When the number is low, you can do this by matching it with the required number of dots (shown in the center of the flower). But when the number gets higher, that’s where the power ups come in. You create power ups by matching dots– 4 dots gets you one power up, 7 dots gets you two power ups, and so on. You want to manipulate the power ups (especially the arrows) to reduce/clear completely that number in the flower. The power up comes along with you as you match so you could start your line with an arrow and as long as it ends where it hits that flower, it’ll work. Keep an eye on that number. As you are making a move that will impact that number, the number will change to reflect what will happen if you complete that move. You don’t need to complete the move. You can always back up and try another move that may prove better. That is the most helpful info in this game. Once you get the hang of it, you can easily eliminate a flower with a high number in a single move. That’s how you climb to 11x with enough moves left. Once you’ve reached the 11x, you can exit the game by clicking on the three lines in the upper left corner. You’ll get credit as long as 11x is showing at the top. This game will click for you as you play and then it’s really not that bad.
