Holy hard stuff…it took me 90 attempts at board number 1 and im up to 85 attempts on board no 3 now.
Mary says
Holy hard stuff is a gross understatement. Tried the first one 25 times and cannot even get close to clearing the cards. Pogo can stuff this one where the sun don’t shine…..this frustration is something my blood pressure definitely does not need
patray says
Thanks for the heads up. Read so many negative comments on this “FREE” game, I I won’t even give it a try.
My late husband used to say “Nothing is FREE” somewhere along the line it costs you something,. Well this sounds like frustration extreme.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. An thank you all for your helpful hints throughout the
year.
DJ says
Wow! This is crazy, frustrating. I do not mind a challenge but …. Not yet got the first one. Not sure I will complete this one.
Tammy L Allen says
I totally agree with the Jet Set Solitaire being hard to play for the Autumn Harvest
shyan says
I just started 20 attempts so far, may not try again until after the holidays.
QuietDi says
“Holy hard stuff” You have got that right!! “90 attempts” to complete level 1; I bailed after 30 failed attempts. I will work on the Autumn Hard, I mean Farm, Harvest Tour later.
ultimatetreebe says
You are so so right….
Wannabewhizz says
“holy hard stuff” — describes Level 1 perfectly. π
FADEDWILDROSE says
Uggggly!!! No strategy involved, just flip the deck until you get the right cards. And I don’t even get close enough to see that I could win with a power up. Watch out for those upside down 6’s and 9’s!
Kathy L Woodcock says
I have tried over 20 times to get the 1rst game. I`m not even going to attempted this one.
Dusty says
Had to look at calendar to be sure this wasn’t April 1st:) Haven’t even gotten first one yet, Hate to see what rest is like π
QuietDi says
Finally finished it. Too many attempts, especially on the first 3 levels, the next to last level, and the Airport level.
The first time I completed the Scarecrow and the Milk Can levels I did not score enough points– talk about adding insult to injury.
I earned 3 stars on the Barn level. (The 1st, 2nd and 3rd stars are really close on the game’s progress bar.) You need to earn 10 stars to open the Airport level, so for me, it was 7 levels with 1 star and the Barn level with 3 stars.
There are 3 obstacles on the Airport level. The initial “Turbulence Alert (5)” is a real doozy.
I will NOT be attempting to earn any additional stars. So long Autumn Farm Harvest Tour.
On a cheerier note, Happy Thanksgiving.
Captiva007Pl says
Whoa!! I don’t think I’ll be finishing this! How can this be SO HARD?!!
Brenda M. says
I swanee, you all are gluttons for punishment. I’ll pass this time. Good luck to all who want/need to complete it. π
RyzandShyn says
I’m a fan of the game and have played everything offered, but not so much of a fan with this one – impossible without multiple power-ups per level and that’s not even a guarantee. Too bad, but I think I’ll skip this one with the rest of you.
Holy hard stuff, Batman! describes it perfectly.
RyzandShyn says
Came back home from running errands and decided to give it another chance. I finished.
One thing I like about this game is trying to figure out how to use a power-up strategically to get it to do what you want to do – advance much further than if you didn’t use it. I don’t mind using them in this game as it adds to my enjoyment of the game when I figure it out properly.
All I can say is I got plenty of practice in that. π
J says
Great for you…congrats! Any clues you want to share?
RyzandShyn says
Not really – it’s just a matter of playing a level and doing some replays until you feel like it’s the moment to use one of the powerups to its best advantage. Since each replay can bring different scenarios, it’s just a matter of experience and gut instinct.
As I said above – I enjoy using a power-up in this game when I see it’s time to, but others prefer to replay until the board cooperates….whatever is fun for you will work.
Dusty says
I posted earler and after careful consideration I’m confinced I could complete 100 games of snowbird and 100 games of Quinn’s before I am going to be able to finish this. BTW, QuietDi congrats. I’m thinking you should go buy a few lottery tickets for Powerball. π
buckeyesno1 says
One tip I was given in the chat rooms is to flip the cards slowly, like every 5 seconds. That way, you won’t get the same card 3 times in a row. Also, why can’t Pogo get more creative with the award badges, it’s always the stewardess for completing every room. I have tons of stewardess badges, why can’t they use a landmark of the city/country or something instead?
Thanks for the heads up about this suitcase, doesn’t sound like one I want to play.
Cindy4764 says
Nopity nope. I took one look at the first one and could see right off there are just not enough cards and it would have to be done umpty nine times and use tons of power ups with no guarantees even then. This started with the last Limited Time Tour. I don’t remember if I even finished it but it was Hard! There were layouts like this with just hardly any cards. I have finished every world tour and all the Limited tours but nope, they’re nuts if they think I’m doing these.
oldblue153 says
Got it!! no pups!!
Board 1 took 90 attempts.
Board 3 took 116 attempts.
Airport took 50 attempts.
The other 6 were easy enough to do in 5-10 tries.
Good luck on this one folks.
shelnick9293 says
Well, at least I don’t have to worry about whether I can do this one or not because I haven’t yet completed the World Tour First Trip and probably won’t anytime soon.
missymiss1000 says
Ridiculous challenge. Certainly not worth me pulling my hair out for one or two badges. Pogo certainly isn’t trying to make things entertaining anymore. I refuse to stress myself out over some game that you can’t win without doing it over and over and over again (or using power ups).
Hats off to all those that have or do get this completed. You are tough stuff!
Pamela McLellan says
I am really confused! after reading so many comments I warily approached this badge. I finished the first task and used pu’s but got it in one. I even redid to make sure I wasn’t missing something. And I have done 2nd task no problem???? wow I don’t know why this is just the usual badge for me but for you all it is so hard. It is like it is two different badges. I can’t be the only one not having an issue. I hope some speak up lol Twilight zone time!!!!
oldblue153 says
Many of us could finish it on the first board if we were to use 3-4 powerups to remove the last 3-4 cards or so.
Try again only say to yourself “I refuse to buy or use powerups for this badge”…it becomes a whole different challenge.
pamdew says
Oldblue, I figured as much but was surprised by so many lol. Yes I used Pu’s but not 4 a hand. I would hate every game that I had to play 90-100 times for just one hand lol
oldblue153 says
Been following the pogo forums n its been trending with people who are posting the stats for the number of tries per board they tried while doing this event…todays record topping 287 times for board one had me floored….I think i woulda had a heart attack from yelling at my monitor lol.
pamdew says
I for sure would be in the emergency room by now lol!!!!! incredible
theshroad says
Congrats to those who finished it. For me trying 90+ times to finish some levels and then a few times for the rest just isn’t fun. I may try the trick of flipping the cards slowly but not going to spend too much time on this one. I have gotten all the others in jet set and I hate missing out on this one but driving myself crazy just isn’t worth it.
bluejeans17 says
WOW that was brutal but got the Harvest Coach Badge using only one pup. Rather than get frustrated with the challenge I kept thinking @ some point If I was patient, I would eventually get the cards needed to complete that level and the strategy to know when to use a pup if needed. Also, I had the option to walk away if it got too overwhelming. This is do-able but “patience” is a must! With ALL that said, I will NOT attempt the other badge as i am OK with one (badge) that I will probably never bother to look @ again! (ha,ha)
Good Luck to everyone and have a “GREAT/PEACEFUL/SAFE” Thanksgiving π
Hels says
Completed the tour with 16 stars, definitely won’t be trying for gold. Nearly 90 attempts at the first level, but none of the others took more than two dozen, most were done in under 10 attempts. Haven’t used any power-ups, but can’t say I had much fun either. Not great, Pogo, not great…
Elfskip says
Definitely a highly aggravating tour, not worth the effort for another cloned badge. Now if there were a few pogis involved as a reward after the frustration of it all, it might tempt me to have a shot at it…however, as it stands, thanks but no thanks pogo
theshroad says
After playing this several times when it first came out and then reading some of the comments, I went back after several days (when it was a daily) and tried again. Using some powerups, I was able to get through the first level, then finished it using a few more power ups on some levels. It did feel good to finish as I’ve done all the others.
Kathy says
I finished the event.. it was one of the hardest events in Jet Set…
there were 5 one stars, 3 two stars and 1 three stars..i used the extra 5 card power up to help finish the event…
i am glad it is done .. Happy Holidays..
