If you could add just one game to Pogo’s lineup, what would it be?

  2. I’m happy that they’ve redone most of my favorites, Gin, Tri-Peaks, Canasta and DCR. A couple of others that got me to join Pogo early on are Vaults of Atlantis and Blackjack Carnival. if I had to choose one it would be Blackjack Carnival and they don’t have anything like that.

    I would love to add Everyone Wins Bingo or Monopoky Slots.

    We only really have one bingo game and one slots.

    • Annie, I have to agree with you on Spooky Slots, if that’s what you meant. I really don’t like slots since one can’t control the outcome, but I did love that because it was the only real Halloween game Pogo had.

  5. Any of the old card games such as Hearts, Pinochle and Euchre or High Stakes Pool.

    Also hoping they rework Pogo Bowl because it is awful. You have very little control of the ball when trying to line it up to roll and there is no pin action whatsoever. Ruined a perfectly good game when you converted it.

    Still like the classic better.

    • try the click to aim method of playing. I switched to that and it has really improved my game.

  6. Hi happy weekend all, the one game I would love to see on Pogo is the return of Lottso I miss that game so much. Hopefully one day it will make a comeback. On another note I hit 17,000 badges this week WTG me lol.

  8. I don’t even have to think about this answer. There are too few (decent) word games currently on pogo. I used to play Boggle Bash every day; so I’d love to have that game returned. With it gone, I’ve actually lost a lot of interest in pogo, spend more time on twitter railing about politics 🙂

    • Oh yes, Boggle Bash was a fun game! I forgot to mention that one when I posted my game(s). I never did find the elusive 10 letter word. LOL

  9. i would like to see no-limit hold ’em.

    i know it said ‘one’ game…but i’m listing 2 😛 i’d like to see monopoly as well, it’s the only game i really play for fun, and it’s how i discovered pogo in the first place.

    ok 3! i wouldn’t mind seeing euchre either (:

  14. I would add Hearts as that was my favorite game. If Pogo could have Spades then I don’t see why they can’t add Hearts. I also miss Lottso.

    That said I also hope they work on Pogo Bowl as it needs much improving.

    P.S.: Did anyone else get an e-mail from Pogo stating “We have an exciting opportunity for you to help the Pogo development team by participating in a remote 1-on-1 playtest. In this playtest you will video conference with a researcher for about an hour.” (I didn’t respond yet because I would have to plan 1 hour with no interruptions).

    • I did and they asked me a few questions. Then they asked about how their customer service was and I told them the truth! They were through with me after that. I can’t even get my 13th-year badge awarded to me and that’s been almost a year ago! And I can’t get any of those idiots to give it to me!

      • Thanks for letting me know. That’s terrible that they won’t award your 13th year badge! I am not going to do it as they wouldn’t like what I would have to say.

        • Than k you, Dee. They didn’t like what I had to say either. That’s why they stopped after that question on customer service. I think it stinks and I told them so. I can’t get any help at all there. No matter what I go for, no help.

  15. I stated out playing backgammon and cribbage so I would like to see cribbage make a comeback. I’m happy to see pinochle is going to come back; that was another favorite. I agree with Kay about Pogo bowl; it doesn’t play like the flash version did; it needs a lot of improvement. Hope everyone has a nice weekend and a good and safe holiday.

    • Unlike most of the others, I find Pogo Bowl much easier and more enjoyable. I get a private room and play alone. It’s also much faster that way. In order to roll the ball down the alley, you have to push the red button. So you can’t accidentally lose balls, something I did a lot in the old game. I also like that each time you touch the ball to move it, you go back to full power. The only problem I have is that sometimes my time is up before I throw the second ball but that’s because I’m slow (and working on it). I usually bowl in the 150’s and 160’s and have gotten as high as 192. In the old game, 150 was a struggle. I only wish that on the page that shows your stats, it showed your previous scores (or even an average). It only shows total score (no number of games), spares, strikes, turkeys, gold pins and silver pins.

    When I was growing up, my parents and their friends played alot of “dominoes” and “bidwihist”, When I first joined Pogo as a non-member, I played alot of dominoes. and earn quite a few “IGAA/; badges. I would be very happys if dominoes was returned, 🙂 Have a safe and great “Easter” weekend everyone!

  19. I would love to see Penguin Blocks brought back. It was my go-to game for relaxation. I miss it.

    Also, I wish Pogo would come up with a good slot game. In my opinion, Pogo Slots is awful. The payouts are ridiculous and it’s not fun. I’d like to have some fun and excitement like they have on FB.

  21. I’d like to see Zuma’s Revenge come back. While I can still find it on line, I’d rather play it on Pogo. I, also, miss Pinochle. I was just getting pretty good at at when it was removed. LOL

    The silence around my house is deafening! I miss my escorts (Bruschi & Snoopy) to the door, the kitchen, the bathroom, and the bed. LOL Not to mention Snoopy always trying to use her own “styling” expertise to my hair.

  23. Boggle! It’s such a fun game.

    Also–add some pin action to the bowling game. The game loses a lot excitement without it.

  24. A match 3 game that anyone could win What we have now is to hard to win once you get to a certain level. Then also I would love to see the shuffle put back into First Class Solitaire I think that is the game I am thinking of I play this game for hours and never win a game If I do it is only 1 out of all that playing time

  26. Difficult to choose just one…. Peggle Slots or Lottso or Shuffle Bump (or, or, or, there are so many I miss!)

  27. Dang… everyone above has some great suggestions so far.
    Honestly I just want all of the old Pogo games back. It’s what I enjoyed the most.
    I can’t name just one 🙁

    I could list like 40+ games I want back LOL.

    Ok fine… I’ll list 3 I really want that other’s haven’t mentioned yet:

    1- Hangman Hijinks (i loved this game and it always got overlooked :()

    2- Wonderland Memories (Also one of my favorites. One of the coolest themes they’ve ever done too.)

    3- Quick Quack (Ok this one will probably garner hate (especially after the 100 spins weekly back in the day lol), but I loved this game and I’m sad we have nothing else like it. No carnival themed games makes me sad.)

  30. I would love pinochle, although I play in a league at another site and I doubt they would move back to pogo now. But, I’d still like to see it here. I also would like monopoly slots.

    Also, Dee, I did receive the opportunity to help pogo development team but I also didn’t respond. I’m not sure I would be good at this and finiding an hour to devote to this would be difficult.

  33. I would like ALL the slots games back!!! The one we have is not a true slot game. It’s more irritating than fun!! When I felt my mind leaving me, I would play slots!! 🙂

  34. I’d like to see pogo add Hidden Express, such a fun game but, the Clutter games are fun too.

  35. This is a hard question because it’s so difficult to pick just one as they retired so many good ones.
    I’d want it to be a game that I always enjoyed playing, whether for badges or just for fun.
    The three that jump to mind are Flower Daze, Match and Merge, and Beaker Creatures.
    Of those three I think Beaker Creatures would be the one I’d like back first.

    • PS. Yes Dee I got that Pogo Mail too. I’d be a little wary of sharing my screen with them and it would have to be when I didn’t have anything multi-activated because I wouldn’t want them to see that…lol.

      • I got the e-mail, too. And when I got to the screen sharing part, “a red flag went up” and I couldn’t get out fast enough.

  37. Most of the games listed above I would love to see back but I think the one I probably miss the most is Penguin Blocks. I know it was a silly game but it was fun to play.

  38. I would bring back Solitaire Gardens. I loved playing the games and making the gardens.

  40. I have 2. First is Boggle Bash. That game was just fun. The second is Perfect Pair Solitaire. But there are just so many games I wish they could give us back. And several that is on Pogo now that they can take off and few will notice (like some of the hidden object games…there’s just toooooooo many lol).

  41. The game that I liked that got me interested into Pogo to begin with is Lottso Makeover Madness and Squelchies but if I had to choose between those 3 I would definately want Squelchies back I miss hearing my bubble gum.

  42. I would love to see clue which was one of the hidden games and spooky slots. They were two of my favorites.

    i can play but i cant get a table and i cant understand the scoring.

    i dont know how i can say, i want to boot someone, but i see it done.
    its a big subject

    but we have canasta and i jjust started to play treasure island solitaire, again
    my go too game now is mahjong sanctuary…the animals are darling and its hard but the pay off is better than quinns with fish, takes forever…
    i love sanctuary.

    is anyone wants to play spades and give me a lesson, my name is same as here.
    i mean a lesson on pogo spades.

    i like the free games. havent spent any money.
    i just ranked at 40 on sanctuary, it popped up very nice, but i doubt it shows anywhere else

    • If I may ask, why do you need a lesson on how to play when you are already Rank 20?

  48. I really miss Vaults of Atlantis, Pool, Dominoes, Hog Heaven Slots, Monopoly Slots. I miss playing with all friends in a chat room that we had before, like pool, dominoes. Lot of people don’t play pogo anymore because of it. Poso was supposed to be a place to meet friend and chat….

  49. the first one that shows in my badges is Jigsaw detective. I loved that game but I also loved the Penguins as well as a few others. Dice Derby and Bloop. Lots of fun times. Badges were not as many or easy to get then.

  50. I would love to see the card games come back — canasta is good and I love to play spades — but miss hearts, pinochle, euchre — would love to see 500 bid.

    • Yep, but it’s also okay to mention games we miss and like since the weekend open thread is open to anything =)

    • I just as soon bring back a few of the old favorites. Some of the new ones that have been added are duds. It doesn’t make any difference whether it is a new game or an old game you are still adding it to the lineup.

    • I agree but what would we get instead of the big amount of tokens we got? Pogis? Only joking. It would be nice if we got something else instead of tokens like game award badges at least.

    Bingo Luau
    Yathzee Party
    Keno Pop
    Wonderland Memories
    Lottso

    And as a side note for all of them: Make the games same as the old version. Art design, music, sound FX, playability, etc. Everything the exact same.

  55. Lots of people mentioned games I liked. Stellar Sweeper was also a favorite of mine. But my favorite game that no one has mentioned was Bingo Luau. I could get interrupted, walk away for 5-10 minutes, come back and still finish it (most times)! My S/O isn’t even interested in playing on Pogo anymore. His favorite was Trivial Pursuit. Before we found Badge Hungry and the answers, we’d work on it together so we could get more answers correct!

  56. Happy Easter everyone! (Or Passover even)

    I know the question was adding a game to the line up, but as so many said we have lots of “old” pogo games that we miss. So my two cents would be yes Quick-Quack, more slots and please even though we have the game ..more costumes to “Poppit Party”

    P.S. Maybe we need a Spades tutorial.. I have no clue how to learn the game even when reading the hints and instructions.. and wow do I have tons of badges I could activate..lol

    Love this topic, ok , so you are asking for one game, so if its a new game I would love to have Uno, if it’s a old Pogo game I would choose Boggle Bash

  61. Dominoes Penguin Blocks Quick Quack

    I really miss Dominoes. I downloaded an APP on my phone and have been playing this. Pogo’s game was much better.

  62. I would add for sure yahtzee party where 10 friends could meet to chat. The game I miss the most.

  63. My choice would be Stellar Sweep and Lottso. I enjoyed both those games and played them, frequently.

  64. For me, its Lottso! I really miss that game. But I have given up on them putting it back in the lineup. If they did, it would definitely be a huge surprise! Everyone Loves Bingo, Boggle Bash and Pinochle are some others it would be great to see. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what they keep putting out there. Right now, I really miss Pogo Llama and I miss the blogs every 2 weeks telling us the upcoming news. I sure hope they have hired someone to take Pogo Llama’s place here real soon!!!

  65. I know that everyone enjoys different games on Pogo, but I’m still pretty amazed at how many different games have been mentioned so far, and it’s only Saturday afternoon. It looks like the majority of the retired games have been mentioned at least once.
    I’m having fun coming back to BH and reading through the new postings as they spark fun memories of games gone by. Wouldn’t it be great if someone from Pogo takes note? 🙂

  67. Like so many others I just can’t pick one. But I narrowed it down to:
    Boggle Bash
    Monopoly, the World Edition
    Yatzee Party

    And I do miss the Chat feature. But a few games have it now. But not too many friends to chat with, so many have left Pogo..
    I remember in years past when you checked “how many people on line” it would be in the hundred thousand or more, You had Great Britain, Germany, France, Australia as well as Canadian members.
    All gone now, so sad.

  68. There are so many good games that are retired and would love to see come back. I could make a huge list lol. I miss Spooky Slots and the other slot games. More Bingo Games would be great. Lottso! Squelchies, and so on. I also miss the JP Spin. When I finish a game it still feels like something is missing.

  73. Greenback Bayou! Seriously though, I wish I had kept a list of all the games that Pogo used to have and that I really enjoyed since my membership started in 2003. My list of favorites to bring back is too long to list.

  74. YooHoo! I got that 5-moves 150 badge in Cookie Connect. I made a spreadsheet/chart of all the 780 levels and a box next to each where I could mark whether I gave up or won with >=5 moves left. I worked in order beginning at level 1, and when I got my 130th win, the badge showed up! So I must have had 20 others in the newer levels played since the badge came out.

    On a sidenote having problems loading Mahjong Sanctuary. Praying its note part of the Quest coming up on
    Tue. (I’ve tried all the clearing and browsers and contacting EA to no avail). Everything else works.

  77. The Weekly Special on Pogo Daily Sudoku did not re-set for me today. It shows the last one I did as being Wednesday’s special and then never went on from there, even though I opened it to do it every day after Wednesday. Anyone else have this problem?

  78. My only problem lately is the Pogo Daily Soduku Special. If I didn’t complete the week before it never resets by Sunday . Ya know how difficult it is just to get ahold of anyone at the Pogo Head Quarters . So how long do ya think it will take to reset? A lot of times it has the wrong answers on it also.

    would like to know when mahjong sanctuary is going to add new levels, its been months.
    just one of the thing i do not like about pogo/ea takes forever to add new levels, not the old pogo

  80. I Love may of the old one’s I saw Beaker’s, Wonderland and many more (adding some slots & card games pino. more poker or blackjack like Carnival. zumas revenge- Sol. Gardens) but, picking just onw BOGGLE BASH – I was addicted it to it. If they could keep Scrabble then why not that! I want my BOGGLE!
    I don’t like many changes with the new Pogo. However, they give us many things Ex I joined in 2005 it took me to 4 – 4 – 17 to get 4,417 badges (I worked that out LOL) Now today 4-4-21 I have 9,821 so over 5400 in 4 years. They give us more badges & extra game awards. After the accident & losing my Mom I can’t be doing extra spending so it has to all the extras.

  84. Penguin Blocks is the one I would like brought back.

    For a new game, I would love to see Deuces Wild Deluxe, not the Double Deuces, but real Deuces Wild Deluxe

  87. I love all the suggestions and agree with them all. Just bring back all the old Pogo games!

    Anyway, if my choice were to bring in 1 new game, it would definitely be Mahjong Match. It is a fun version of Mahjong with a conveyor belt along the bottom. As soon as you make a match with a tile in the picture, they zap together. The music is great, and it’s really a fun game.

    It is free to download and play for one hour on Big Fish Games (PC only) if you want to check it out. That is one of my favorite games.
