Pogo Mini: Time to Trick or Tweet!Happy Weekend Everyone!

Have you had any “aha moments” in any games lately, where you’ve realized something about a game you didn’t know before?

The weekend open thread is a regular feature at BadgeHungry. Every weekend, we answer the discussion question above, and chat about anything game-related.   2. I can’t believe it took me this long to figure out! Since I do not use Internet Explorer browser for anything anymore, I used it today to go to Badgehungry crossword cove answers and made that the home page. Now with one click I am there ready to go!

  3. I don’t know if this is a real “aha” moment, but I am finally using all those feathers in M. Sanctuary that I got for playing the daily puzzles. No more redoing – just use a shuffle or joker (or 2 or 3). I also have started using the free power ups in games where I had never tried any before, such as Cookie Connect and even Sweet Tooth Town. Sometimes I haven’t been able to figure out what the power up does, so I just use it and hope that it both helps in the game and teaches me how to use it in the future.

    • I finally started using a bunch of the free power-ups I’m getting with the Pogi levels. I hadn’t realized how helpful they were until some buds in a Bejeweled room explained how to use them! Now I’m exploring them at each game I play.

  4. Thanks to our member typenstamp I never knew about getting 6 more items in Claire Hart Classic by clicking on the circled eye by where it says Hint. All these years of playing this game and I never thought to click on that, aha! Thanks!

    • I also did not know that until typenstamp mentioned it and I have played all the Claire Harts. That was amazing.

  5. In Mahjong Safari i thought there was a weird glitch in the game since it was released. I couldn’t understand why I would have, in the line of animals on the left that fills to give you a completed safari, all animals and a chunk of gray metal.
    I recently realized it’s not a chunk of grey metal – it’s the flying squirrel, flattened out – a friend said it actually looks like a lint roller to her.

    • RyzandShyn, until you posted that I had always thought those tiles were chunks of gray metal too and wondered why it was there with the other animals. I would have never thought it was really a flattened out flying squirrel. Aha!

    • 😂 it is funny looking, that’s true. But remember, this is a Pogo Safari with a couple of dogs, cats, a brown bear, a black and white cow. Now that I think about it I believe there are fewer actual Safari animals than non-Safari animals. 🧐

      • I’m glad you saw the gray metal chunk too, Dee.
        LOL Cindy – there are far more domesticated animals than wild animals one would go on a safari to see.
        The one that cracks me up is the Shiba Inu – I had one, and she wouldn’t set a paw into a jungle, she’d be appalled at the idea.

  6. I found out that pogo slots has a jug with 800 coins in it. The most I had ever gotten was 400 in the jug

Yes, I’ve had various “aha” moments, but the most recent one that I had just last week was when I was playing Bejeweled Stars for Felis’s Fantasy, and realized that if you hover over the circle(s) on the far left, they will show you where all pieces are located on the board to meet the goal of that circle. That was a “OH WOW” moment for me!

  8. Because of BH I realized I could win the challenge in bejeweled stars by using coins to buy powerups. Aha! Thanks for the tips!

    • I have bought the hammer for I think 50 coins but when I’m trying to buy star gems it says gems. I don’t see how I can buy them with coins only.

  9. I discovered yesterday that not all home badge pages look the same. An example was that I had written that in Sweet Tooth Town the Chocolate factory was on the bottom middle. A few people answered and said no, they had theirs in different places on the page. Some on the side and -top etc. I was amazed. and I must say I am learning new things every day and I have been on pogo for probably 20 years.

    Yes I have and it’s mainly because several members have advised me of information I was not aware of. I be so satisfied and happy, I often gift those members M-n-M badges who have really, really helped me. Thank you so very, very much my friends and “BH”!

  11. My AHA moment this week comes from the Weekend Open Thread!! I am amazed at how many tips I have gotten from members from their comments this weekend. Thank you, Lura, for this feature and to all those who took the time to leave their comments.

  12. Any one knows if now that the dolls with scarfs are back in Trizzle, are there also new “Autumn” badges to earn?
    Or same badges that last time for those who don’t have them yet?
    Or different rewards?
    Or nothing at all?

  13. I should have shared this aha a long time ago….

    In Peggle Blast if you completed the first 4 tasks,,..a check mark appears…. take the spin for a power up then .reload the page the check mark will be there again and take the second spin for an additional power up… You double your power ups daily.

  14. I found this out ages ago in tumble bees but playing longer without knowing it . When you spell as word such as has if you use the h as as the a and s touch the h the letters don’t have to be in order so if they show as sha if you check the letters in the right order for the word it counts

My most recent “aha” moment is when I realized in peggle blast, after you have initially won a level, that you can go back to it and use any of the peggle masters that you have already unlocked. Of course, you can also change your peggle master by using one of your credits (from the daily spins), but you don’t have to use those credits to replay a level (for more stars) once you’ve won the level. I have been able to get the “earn a star” for the daily board more easily by using other peggle masters.

  16. My ahh moment came while I was working on the Bejeweled Stars Event and by accident my curser went too far to the left and I discovered that it would highlight in the puzzle which areas still needed to be cleared to win the level.
