Gotta love the multi activate….did 1 n multi activated the other 9…this won’t be too bad.
ampehl says
Can you activate more than one badge for the marathon at one time? If so can you please explain how to me. Thank you so very much. And good luck on your badges!
jeff says
First I activated all 10 1 at a time…replacing the activated one each time with another.
Then I chose the easiest I could and played that 1.
Now…when I go to “Badges” in Classic Pogo I can see all the other 9 as they had been activated….I click on small icons so the lists tight n can see am all without scrolling.
Then as fast as you can click activate on each one…I was lucky enough to click on all of the remaining 9 in time for all of them to be activated….good luck.
wuzzie70 says
Thank you for your tip on activating multiple badges at once, but I’ve never been able to do it! I tried exactly as you said, by activating them all first, then going to the classic pogo, and selecting small icons, and it still didn’t work. I wasn’t even able to activate 2 at a time, let alone all 7 I had left. I wonder if you have some kind of super-duper computer or something? You must have a very fast one!
Dawn says
It never works for me and I figure it is because I have a gaming fast computer. Wish I knew why it doesn’t work for me. I even tried the trick of opening multiple tabs with the activate next to each other. No such luck 🙁
jeff says
Ya know..it simply doesn’t work for everyone…I cannot explain it…it works on my account…but if I try to activate a batch for my sister on the same computer using the same browser…everything exactly the same except for the user name…im very lucky to get 2 at once.
Boo says
complete the 2 badges u were able to “multi-activate” & go back & try again, mite be able to get more to multi activate this time…when i 1st started multi activating, i could never get more than 2 to activate at once but the more i was doing it, the better i became, the more i could get multi-activated…there are several ways as well…i like multi activating thru the “new pogo” going thru “challenge central” using the query…but usually marathons like this one do show up there but I have been able to get them all to multi-activate rite from the marathon pg, where u link once u click on “join the race”….theres more tips on multi activating on this site & with different types of marathons, challenges, monthlys, mm’s- ya kinda gotta multi activate in a slightly different approach, atleast i do….keep at it, u will eventually have it down pat! good luck e1 !

Thanks for the tip. Even though I did not do it fast enough I did manage to multi-activate 3 of them which helped in getting through the entire 10. I am glad that is cover with. I hope to never see Snowbird again in the foreseeable future…….lol
shelnick9293 says
HaHa Not cover with but meant over with.

Bless you, Larry !! I have tried EVERYTHING to multi-activate and it has never worked. Tried your easy to follow recommendation and it couldn’t have worked better. Did a cut and paste so I always have it handy. Thanks again !
theshroad says
Mine isn’t showing any badges except those I have completed. It’s not showing any of the Bear Miles badges
pamdew says
Thank you Larry!!! I was able to do 3 activated as the other were done. I will save this. Have never been able to get above two!!!!!!
QueenTweeT says
As of 5AM Eastern time, you can only find this marathon through classic Pogo. Hopefully that will be corrected sometime later this morning.
ultimatetreebe says
Well, I couldn’t be happier…a whole week of snowbird…I play lots of games every day, so now they will count for something…just wish they had added more levels….oh well….off I go to play!!!!
Madeforlovingguy says
All I can say is yuck. Bored of this game now and not sure I will even bother with this marathon.
Good luck to all those who do.
Forevrneverends says
I totally agree with you … I absolutely HATE this game and especially when I can not select which game I want to use.
creamtrout says
I absolutely hate this game too. I wish there was a way to pick a certain layout instead of always getting the cards you have to click on multiple times. It is way too time consuming to do so many badges for it. Won’t be doing it.!
Wv2hot4u says
I know I will not bother with this marathon I do not like the game.
But good luck all that do
bookreader65 says
me also mom cant stand that game not going to get this one i have to use gems to get threw a game all the way yck
catania1966 says
Just a reminder for those that couldnt multi activate from the snowbird marathon page – I tried and couldnt. But what you can do is activate each badge one at a time – when it asks you to replace – say YES – after you have activated all 10 badges – go and activate an easy badge – your personal preference here. When that is done, then go to the dark side and multi activate badges from there as normal – good luck
Brenda M. says
Thank you for this tip, I activated the badge for 20,000 points and finished that one and then went and multi activated 3 of 4, the 4th one balked, but at least I can work on 3 at a time for awhile. 🙂
Have fun, everyone!! 🙂
llinda871 says
what/where is the dark side?
jean123coop says
Hi there – the Dark Side is how we refer to the “New” Pogo. A lot of folks still like the Classic version (so do I).
llinda871 says
lol, thanks, I like the old one better too
pamdew says
lol I wasn’t sure what that meant either but I also prefer Classic. I still am hoping they can get Chat more like Classic I am still not using it
Theresa Wournell says
Ok, I know how to find the badges on old Pogo, but not the dark side. Where do you find them?
jean123coop says
Hi there. Please first follow Catania1966’s post. I have included it here for you.
What you can do is activate each badge one at a time in Pogo Classic – when it asks you to replace – say YES – after you have activated all 10 badges – go and activate an easy badge – your personal preference here.
When that is done, then go to the early access, find Snowbird Solitaire and multi-activate challenges there. To do that you have to quickly click on them one after another. Good Luck!!
catania1966 says
I will try and explain this – getting to “Dark side” – pogo calls it New Pogo experience
So if you are on Classic Pogo – at top of screen will say “Click here” – to switch to New Pogo Experience
Once you do that you get to New Pogo experience main page
Once there Click on Challenge Tab in top left hand corner then click Challenge Central option.
Once there scroll down to Tab that says Browse All Challenges and click on that
That sends you to Challenge Central where you can look up ALL your badges – there are 4 main types of Filters here – Challenge Type,Games,Challenge Status and Ownership – by playing around with these filters you can bring up any badges.
Im only going to explain how to bring up/show unactivated owned mnm badges in Snobird.
So first filter – Challenge Type – click on Mix N Match
Then Games Filter – click on it – Search for games – type Snowbird, then click on Snowbird Solitaire
Then Challenge status filter – choose Not Activated
Then on Ownership filter – click on Owned
So this will bring up ALL snowbird mnms that are unactivated – you can multiactivate from here.
Now you may have like 9 plus badges here – sometimes it helps to minimise your screen size percentage – from 100 percent to 75 percent are whatever works for you.
The next part is where it can get tricky – I like to look at the badges I want to try and multiactivate and make sure they are close to each other – then click on activate now buttons for badges you choose as quickly as possible – accuracy is more important than speed – make sure you hit the button.
So once you have multi activated the badges – however many you were lucky enough to do – NOW ONLY ONE BADGE will show ACTIVE,the others wont. The only way you can tell which badges are active is to load the game – and then click the “B” button on side menu tab – this will show ALL active badges.
So the easiest way to see which badge Pogo says is active is to go to the Classic side and bring up badges and see which shows active.
So once you know which badge is SHOWING active – decide if its an easy one or not – if not an easy one, then replace it with an easy mnm.Make sure it isnt with one you already multi activated.
Once you do this play as usual – now here is another tricky part – ONCE you complete the MNM badge that Pogo shows as ACTIVE – you can actually go back to the above process and multi activate more badges – by this method its possible to have 10+ badges active at same time.
If you forget which badges are active – load the game, bring up the B tab and write down which badges are active
I hope this makes sense – its not the easiest thing to explain – written or verbally lol
Good luck
theshroad says
When I try to multi-activate a badge, as soon as I click on the second activate, I get the option to cancel or replace. Am I doing something wrong? And what should I do when this comes up?
Timothy OShea says
That happened to me also . But I did 1 at a time and finished all 10 badges Thursday Night .. Good Luck to you all
RyzandShyn says
The multi-activating does not work for everyone, no idea why, but some people can never get it to work.
When what happened to you happens to me, I go back to Classic -Find a Badge, and find a badge I’ve already completed that is the fastest/easiest of all of them.
I activate that one. This will replace the one you tried previously.
I play that easy one.
Then I go back and try the multi-activation again.
I have the most luck in Challenge Central on Early Access by bringing up the badges I have available in that game using the search boxes. I have a touch-screen so I then touch activate as quickly as I can.
Good Luck.
RyzandShyn says
Here’s my take on it:
Right now I enjoy Snowbird. Although I’m only up to the 160s in Jungle, I play a new level almost every day just for fun. But to have to finish all 10 of these badges, even with all the tricks we know, by the 29th might make me not like the game, it’s a lot…lol. I know it’s possible to do so, but I’m willing to forego the completion badge to enjoy playing the 10 free badges toward the constellation and to occupy my time.
I’ll see how it goes, but I’m not going to sweat it.
RyzandShyn says
Oh my! Once I got started, I couldn’t seem to stop, way too obsessed by it.
I activated them all first from the marathon page, saving #1 for last.
I played #1 and then did the others in 3 groupings (4,5,6,10) – (2,7,9) – (3,8) to make it easier to stay on task specific goals.
I sat and did some , did some chores around the house, sat and did some more, rinse and repeat.
It was over quickly.
Note: I wonder if the upcoming Beach Spook-Tacular Event (10/06) will have something to do with the “Beach” level, or if it’s just the name of the event….probably just the name.
Hopefully we’ll be ready to play the game again by then.
WCurry5990 says
Hi “Everyone”;
I hope not, but has anyone else earned a badge but like me, was “not” awarded any pogis? I multi-activated the Bear Miles Lap 1 badge with the Weekly and was only awarded the “400” Weekly pogis.
DeeVermont says
I enjoy Snowbird as well. I think once I get the badges done where one has to leave 5 cards or more it will go much faster. I’m happy about the free badges that come with pogis since I’m would like to achieve the “gold” in the current constellation (right now I earned the bronze and I’m in the silver). Darn, I feel like I’m playing in the Olympics! 🙂
afriendUgh says
Ugh this is just too much Bird for me. I hear more too. Disgusting.
Not looking forward to this at all.
bafflingbarnacles says
I feel the exact same way. I used to enjoy the game once I got through the first 100 levels for a bit. But now they are spamming the game just like they did with Quinns (which I never enjoyed anyway).
It makes the site feel like there’s only 5 total games because they use the same ones 🙁
PS. Good luck to those who do this marathon! =)
Spirit7200 says
I did the weekly and one of these badges (yuck 🙂 It’s really not my game but glad others enjoy it. Am I wrong in seeing the Spook-Tactular that begins October 6th is…Solitaire Snowbird? I hope I am wrong lol. Lil too much Snowbird!
jean123coop says
Spirit7200 – I plowed my way through this game and was feeling all full of myself when I finished the marathon.
I saw your post and felt like – oh, darn, more of the same game? They are really shoving this game at us and I honestly don’t like the game. It’s too much to handle all the things that you need to remember about the waves, sand, etc. Please give us a break and find some other game to push.
For those that like it, congrats at having more games to play. For those of us who don’t, oh well, time to start deciding what to do. Happy almost Thursday everyone!!
Spirit7200 says
PLEASE keep that great feeling jean123coop! YOU should feel great!!! It really it almost two weeks and maybe we ALL will be more Snowbird friendly??? I hope so!!!
Jan says
Jungle gin is gotm. Why is there a 10 badge marathon in this game?
Bobbi says
I’ve been playing Snowbird all day, now that I took a break for diner Snowbird will not load, I only get a BLUE screen. The other games play fine, I’ve cleared , logged out, relogged on, played a few other games and SNOWBIRD still only gives me a BLUE screen,,,, what else should I be doing?
Thanks!
shelnick9293 says
I am beginning to detest this game as much as QA. I am on my 9th badge which I think I will finish but the one that would be left is #4. Win 30 games with 5 or more cards left is going to take me the longest if I finish it at all. If I hadn’t already completed the 100 games I wouldn’t even be doing this marathon. I prefer the marathons with different games not the same one over and over. I don’t even care if they are free. I much prefer to play games that I like.
Patricia/Knit 01 says
Hi Every 1 — Love Snowbird Solitaire but I won’t
be playing in marathon since I finished all the
levels. I simply hate playing the same levels
over & over again. I’ll wait on these badges
& use them when new levels appear.
Kygirl1942 says
Finished the Snowbird Solitaire Challenge…now I can relax for the weekend. LOL
Carl says
A bit tedious, took about 6 hours to complete.
Did not even move up a rank.
Wish the incentive was a bit better!
Eileen Rogean says
Wish I’d seen about multi-activation before now & given it a shot! Now half way through the 9th. challenge, left the hardest 2 until last but see light at the end of the tunnel.
signslady says
Well, that’s what I get for not reading the comments on BH about this marathon for multi-activating. 😕 Don’t know if I’ll complete the marathon or not, but maybe….. Snowbird is another one of those games that I have a love/hate relationship with.
Jon C says
Finished about 6 hours for long challenges
zandbmom says
The completion badge has been awarded.
Cindy4764 says
I got the completion badge but I don’t seem to have gotten the Weekly Special badge for Daily Sudoku.
MomsBassetHound says
You don’t get a badge every week in PDS.
There was a badge after week 1 and week 5. The next badge is not until week 12. The last 2 badges are at week 30 and week 52.
Suz
Cindy4764 says
Oh, thanks so much. This one has been a little confusing right from the start, what with a a weekly special for doing daily games on PDS lol.
I’ve done every one so I guess I’m on track with all the badges so far for this ‘event’.
MomsBassetHound says
You’re very welcome!
