It’s that time again: to report on how many badges you have! Our last count was in December. How has your total changed? More or less than you thought? If you didn’t get in on the count last time, leave a comment here so you’ll have something to compare to for the next one!

How many Pogo badges do you have?

  5. In December, 2018 my badge count was a little over “10,000” and my goal for this year is to earn “12,000”. Currently I’m now at “11,637” badges and with all these badges Pogo is now releasing, I’ll have no problem earning “12,000” badges. I feel I will earn “12,000” badges even though this year I am “not” purchasing all the badges like I’ve done in the past because so many are really “long” and “tough”.   8. I have 11,367 badges with the last 9 being beautiful DOGS which I fear are going to lead me to the poor house. I need to go to the Pet Store; most came with collars but I need leashes, food and water dishes, toys and nail clippers as well as a Vet Appts. for check-ups and monthly meds. Oh, and I am having an outside fence built. Can’t walk/run them all myself, so I need to hire some kids to help with that.

    I purchased 3 bundles so triple the cost of most of all that. Addiction can be very costly. lol

  13. Just a peon here with 5,256. I think with only one or two exceptions I never pay more than 8 gems for a badge. What I call the “new Pogo” has changed the way I look at badges. We get so many free badges that I average way over 100 per month. Because of all the freebies I now buy power ups more often since the badges are free. I find the cost of the power ups helps me get the badges much quicker and the cost is still less than 8 gems per badge. But this “new Pogo is getting a bit old to me. Many of the games that are now overused consist of games that are made much easier with power ups. At first I did not mind having to play through as many as 50 losers to win one game but with time this gets tiring and is not my kind of fun. In fact I wonder if Pogo even cares if the games are fun anymore. They consistently over use many unpopular (to many but not all) games and make challenges that are very long. The tokens are going away which for many of us was fun. It is not their fault but many of our favorite games are going away due to the demise of flash and java. And now they have made a weekly challenge of Rainy Day Spider that is virtually impossible for many of us to do. Once again they do not seem to care that they are eliminating the fun we had of accomplishing the completion badge for the year on weekly challenges. The stats pages do not show high scores, the tokens are going, the annual completion badge on weeklies is gone, the chat is unusable while playing, most of the new games require us to lose many to win a few, and the challenges are so difficult and long that many cannot participate. Many say you do not have to participate in them but I ask where is the FUN in that. When I joined pogo it was when I had lost my wife and it was a blessing for me to pass the time. I am really having trouble justifying staying with the “no fun” version of Pogo. Oh well hopefully they will someday listen to the complaints and make Pogo into the FUN experience that it once was.

    • They changed the weekly badge from 2 games on hard to 4 games on normal in RDS. The did that on Friday.

  16. I am only at 4,226 but considering I only play two hours or so, I am happy with my total. WTG Mom’s on 17,156 total – what an accomplishment!

  18. My count just went up by 27 badges from getting the retired Java badges — I now have 5,019. Never thought I’d see the day that I made it to over 5,000 badges! Happy weekend everyone, and Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads!

  21. I’m such a slacker, not quite at 4,000 but don’t buy any unless there’s a BOGO. Went up a lot with these darn marathons. 😀

    Gonna be missing two badges, RDS and 2019 album completion badge. No way I can do that one.

    • The changed the challenge from 2 games on hard to 4 games on normal.

      • Thank you for that info Suz. When I saw play 2 on hard , I closed my eyes and pretended I didn’t see that. After reading your comment , I had another look and you are right. What a relief’!!!

      • Ha, ha, ha, I sent Pogo_Llama a pogo mail this morning about that, telling them about the 2 games on Hard was unreasonable!!! I also mentioned about the awful long challenges lately. Wonder if we have a voice after all!!!

  22. I imagine many of you became friends with jummmy2 during her many successful Hall of Fame mini events of the past. Some time ago she asked me to do badges that she could not see well enough to do. That evolved into me doing most, then all badges. She said she hated to see all her badges just disappear, so asked me to take over her account. In recent months she was only on to check messages, update her mini and rarely play. I do not remember the date or the badge count when I took over, but it is now 12,760. Wherever she is, I hope the late jummmy2 can enjoy her account’s continued progress as I do not miss any opportunity to get more.

  25. I am on working on the last Magic Marathon badge which will complete an album. I hope i can stay awake long enough to complete it and bring my current total to 12,788.

    For the first time ever I have delayed purchasing badges as soon as they come out, hoping Pogo would have a gem sale for Fathers Day.

    • That’s my last badge to complete the 30 freebies — 40 puzzles within a time limit (which IIRC is generous). I don’t mind the game with the random puzzles, but gawd, that’s a lot of Quinn. I’m at the point where I think Pogo should be paying me rather than me paying them.

  28. I remember the days when I knew what every game the badges came from. Now they just seem to all run together with no time to even look at them after earning them anymore.
    I just go on to the next badge. I miss the leisure of just playing to play, especially the card games like tripeaks .
    I have 12,066 badges on this name and 5,200 on MoonDazed. At last I may be getting tired of chasing the almighty badges.
    Pogo is totally slamming us with too much. And the challenges have become too long. Someone once said this is because of people complaining that they were too easy? I’m not sure.

    • Congrats & Welcome to the 12K Club!!

      I agree that they are too long. Those of us that think that way need to write Pogo Llama and tell her. That’s why she thought people wanted longer challenges, she got emails and messages that badges were too quick and easy. I’ve mentioned it a few times, but hearing it over and over from the same person isn’t the same as everyone taking the time to write.

        I think I will write her a letter. I wish others would too. I know she plays pogo, but probably not to the extent that some of us “die-hards” do.
        I often thought that the ones who cook up these challenges should be made to play them (on their off work time) to get a feel of what it’s like. Most people have some sort of a life. These long challenges feel like work. Not fun like they should be or used to be.

        • I would be happy to let them know that these badges are too hard & too time consuming. How do I do that? I’m retired & like to play & get badges but these challenges lately are so overwhelming I haven’t even gotten to 20 badges on Magic Marathon, I will eventually complete them but it actually causes me physical pain to play for hours on end. I will most likely buy the dog badges & those will take a good bit of time to complete also so I hardly ever buy mix & match. I currently have a total of 7415 badges. Also I was notified that someone logged into my EA Pogo account a couple of times & my credit card was hacked so I’m kinda assuming it was thru Pogo that they got my information, not sure if this has ever happened to anyone else (their account being logged into?). I appreciate all the information I get from Badge Hungry it has helped a lot but I still am not the fastest for some of these badges others I can do better namely the hidden object.

  29. My badge count is 11,457. I can’t keep up with all the badges POGO is throwing at us, plus this has become a very expensive hobby for me. Also, the challenges are getting to be to much. Don’t know how long I can remain a member of POGO. I am a senior on a very tight budget. Good Luck to all.

  31. I really wonder if anyone at Pogo realizes just how much they are putting out there.

    In the first 15 days of June there have been 176 M&M Badges released for sale, at a cost of 2,320 gems.

    I know that the 100 dog badges are a 1 time thing, hopefully, but that’s just freaking crazy!

    • It is crazy. I’m overwhelmed.
      Now I’m thinking they will put out 100 cat badges? Or 100 other animal badges? Anything to make a buck anymore.

    • I thought about it, and I limited myself to two of the ten dog bundles. I just don’t want to spend so many gems when there is hardly time to play anything other than the marathon badges, especially as I am trying to get to the next rank badge (no hope of ranking out) in games that are retiring on July 2.

  32. I had 9,822 in December and now I have 10,890 or just over a thousand badges added in the course of six months.

    I agree that some of the new badges are too much – not in the sense of difficult that makes you proud to have achieved them, but tedious that only makes you sigh with relief when they are finally done. Not fun.

    It’s shaping up to be a beautiful day and I may be able to take advantage of the pool for the first time this season! Have a great weekend, everyone!

  35. My badge count is 9,247….prior number, iirc, was 9,010. Hopefully I got the prior number right. LOL

    Off topic….again I want to say I miss the minis updates and special contests. Every day I note a special event/holiday. Today I highlighted the special event of Global Wind Day. However it is also “Fly a Kite Day” and I wanted to emphasize that but alas, NO KITES”. Hopefully when tptb will get back to reinstating this part of Pogo which made it fun to see and get what is new in the mini mall rather this constant emphasis on marathons. Bring back some of the fun things that made Pogo members look forward to along with the game challenges.

    • Pogo Llama has stated that the change in the Mini Mall is permanent.

  36. I am lucky enough to have 10,120 badges. I have many albums ready for me to complete.

    My Question is :
    Pogo is sending the new badges so fast that I am wondering if I have missed any.. Is there any way to tell? Is there a list somewhere? Thank you for your BadgeHungry!! I would be LOST without it!!!

  38. Pogo sure is avoiding Clue Secrets and Spies like the game it is a plague. No MnM badges for that hog since April 22nd this year and there have only been 2 mnm’s released this year.

    • They are getting away from badges in the Flash games, just like they did in 2015 with the Java games. They have a few favorites they still go to, but I see that being stopped in the near future. Flash will be gone completely in less than a year.

    up on me! Then so busy with GOTM, the Magic , and

  42. I believe Adolescent boys are putting together these challenges. They don’t understand that adults enjoy playing these games but have other things to do in their day! The challenges are much, much too long and some are way too hard.

  45. Currently I have 3,749. I haven’t bought a badge in almost a year. I don’t even do all the ones Pogo gives us free. I am not playing as much as I used to, not liking the HD games so much. Still do the daily trivia and the weekly challenges if I like the game.

  47. Are you counting all your badges, even the ones that are not done yet. My total for the ones finish is 8,784. I have 46 badges not done. I haven’t been playing a lot lately. It takes you forever to get the badges done this time. Hope your all having a wonderful day.

    • No, only counting the completed / earned badges. I currently have almost 175 undone M&M Badges. With the length of the challenges I may never be current again 🙁
