Pogo Daily Sudoku is now available.
In this sudoku game, there are three daily puzzles (easy, medium, and hard) that you can complete in order to unlock monthly themes. The puzzles are calendar-based and if you miss a day you will have to purchase keys to unlock that day’s puzzles. There are also five power-ups that can be used to make the puzzles easier.
To fill out the numbers in the puzzle, click on the number below the puzzle and then click on the space in the puzzle where you want it to go. Be careful, because you will lose a life (heart) each time you place an incorrect number and you only get 3 free lives per puzzle.
This game has 55 badges you can earn for completing various in-game tasks like completing X number puzzles as well as X number of easy/medium/hard puzzles, using various power-ups X number of times, and 5 rank badges at ranks 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50.
If you need answers, we have the daily Sudoku solver screenshots.
Here is some information from Pogo to get you started:
- Choose between easy, medium and hard difficulties. The easier the difficulty, the more numbers are filled in at the start.
- With each puzzle, you get three lives. Every wrong answer subtracts a life. If you run out, itโs game over.
- Switch to Pencil Mode to figure out the answers before you lock them in with Pen Mode. It pays to pencil out the solution first before you risk any lives.
- Rack up wins and climb the ranks to unlock fun new themes to customize your sudoku-solving sessions.
- If you get stuck, Pogo Daily Sudokuโs power-ups can help you fill in the blanks.
- Purchase keys to unlock past and future dates from the calendar if you want to work backwards or charge ahead.
Go take a look at Pogo Daily Sudoku, then come back and let us know what you think of the game in a comment below.

Pay for missed days? lol
MomsBassetHound says
That’s the 1st thing I saw that ticked me off ๐
Wait until you see what some of the badges are for. You get some for using power ups, lots of expensive power ups. They can take those badges and shove them.
I love Sudoku and will play it daily, but don’t need the power ups. And if I miss a day I think I’ll live…lol
Suz
sirron1957 says
I’m hoping if you use the power-ups they will auto reset each day back to 1 available, but not holding my breath.
And SHAME ON YOU POGO!!! For doing that (if the power-ups don’t auto reset), not to mention charging for the puzzles from Jan 1 to yesterday when the game wasn’t even available!!!!

I totally agree with you.Suz..Had to read it twice t make sure I saw correctly lol..

I’m laughing as well. Pretty soon we’ll have to pay to sign in – although I shouldn’t say that as I don’t want to give them any ideas ๐
Kathy197 says
I wouldn’t be surprised.
PrairiesDweller says
Extreme warning! ๐ฃ
This game is diabolical to the max! ๐ฅต
I started playing and figured out a spot for a 5.
Clicked on the spot and an incorrect 6 was put in! ๐ธ
WHY? 1 number under the grid is lit up.
If you click on a spot on the grid THAT number gets put on the grid! ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
๐คฌ๐ฅถโ ๏ธ is my comment.
Lura says
You can change the way it works in the settings:
typenstamp says
In the instructions it says either cell first or space first can be chosen from settings … cell first is how the other Sudoku is set up. I’ve clicked all the buttons but can’t find settings. My other question is, if they give us a challenge that says to win five puzzles, how do you think that will work? Will we have to pay to unlock four of them? Can you repeat the same puzzle on easy five times? Again, clear instructions seems to be missing. I think they should give us a key for each puzzle we complete as an award. I agree that the powerups are too expensive. I’m very curious what other players have to say about this game.
PrairiesDweller says
You have to start the game and then click on the gear to the right of the power ups for the setting option.
I played twice on Easy so it can be repeated.
Someone posted in the Pogo Forums that she tried Medium for 20 minutes then quit when she realized she would have to guess many times.
typenstamp says
I jumped the gun … my questions have already been answered.
MomsBassetHound says
What I have to say is that I will never have 1 of those badges that requires the use of a power up.
And to add puzzles back to January 1st, and expect us to pay 1 gem for each is crazy. And who is going to pay 1 gem for a puzzle for later this month? We can do it for free on that day.
I keep thinking that Pogo can’t go any lower, and they keep surprising me.
Suz
sirron1957 says
Suz, if this just came out today it’s not right we have to pay for the ones up to this day.

MomsBassetHound says
They know that some will buy them, not me, but some.
I agree that the least they could have done was give them to us free for a certain amount of time.

Catherine L says
I haven’t tried it yet. I am still working on Marathons. Reading the comments, especially yours Suz, this looks like it’s going to be the worst and most expensive game on Pogo.
Dan says
So they charge 3 gems for 1 key or 77 gems for 30 keys.
Silverarcticwolf says
This is a stupid game.
You would think they would have the controls the same as Pogo Sudoku – click a square then select a number to be placed. But, noooooooo. It is the exact opposite.
I won’t be playing this game. It is too stupid!
Silverarcticwolf says
I see that you can change which comes first the number or the cell. When you load a puzzle, underneath where the power ups are is a gear. Select the gear to change the puzzle from number first to cell first.
It’s still a stupid game, though.
Brenda M. says
I played 1 game and closed it out and started another when I found out how the click a number worked. Now I click the number put it in and then go back and click that number off, that way I won’t be be wrong.
The game will not get any gems from me because I’ll play it just like it do Crossword Cove, daily!! ๐
It’s ok, nothing spectacular, but once a day will work for me. ๐
Have fun, everyone!!! ๐
Jan says
for sure will not play this daily…have been member many many years just reached 6000 badges…now am very choosy on what i buy or play at..used to do all the badges in yearly but when they added QA ..I do not play that. so of course for first time 2018 is not complete because of QA and now also 2019 will not be complete because of QA…….and now only buy on sale badges in games I enjoy doing…no stress…
Eve says
I love Sudoku and was looking forward to the daily game. I lost 3 hearts easily just trying to figure out how the game works ha ha. Now that the learning curve is over, I realize how very careful I’ll have to be while playing this game.
The second thing I noticed is that Medium level was closer to Hard compared to most other Sudoku games that I’ve played in the past. Meaning, I had to pencil in everything on Medium which I normally only have to do on a Hard level or above. Time will tell if it was just a fluke but it took me way too long to complete the game. And lastly, like most of you, I was surprised to see badges awarded for using power ups. Does that mean we can eventually win power ups or are they strictly purchased? BTW I noticed no change in my gem count or a power up going to zero when I clicked Yes to 3 more hearts. DId anyone notice if it started us out with 2 of the heart power ups? I’m just curious if it was a beginner freebie.
Eve says
TIP:
The same numbers come up for replay so you have the solution after you’ve completed a game. Just be sure to do a screen capture or write them down before you complete the game – eg, before you put in the last number. I’ve been replaying the Easy level and ranking up quickly as well as working towards the Easy level badges (I guess since I can’t find my status.)
Tamara says
How do I submit my puzzle when I’m done? I finished & switched from pencil to pen & nothing happened.
Eve says
You don’t have to submit your puzzle when done. That also happened to me and it turned out that I had missed putting a number in square.
shelnick9293 says
Well I see this is not a game I would play for fun although I would probably play it as a daily but will never pay to play back dates or to buy powerups. I much preferred Pogo Sudoku as that is a game I enjoy
Bryanjul5 says
Well Pogo you have finally found a game I will NEVER play. wow
I have over 12 000 badges on this nic and until today always purchased every badge available as soon as it came out.
I have stopped playing on 3 memberships, one of which has collected at least 15 unplayed mix and match and premium albums available to play.
I give up!!! Am throwing in the towel!!! and tossing along some unused soap!!!
nessa says
Hmmmm….welll…..ok…blah!
First things first, do we really needed another Sudoku game?
How many Sudoku games do we need on this Site? They take things from us (minis for instance) and the excuse is always something like “since flash and java are going away, we focus and put all our resources in bringing new or updated HDgames to the site”. Why spend so many of their precious resources in making yet another Sudoku game? Just asking
If I understand correctly we can do all three daily puzzles, easy, med and hard, right?
Do they all 3 count for rank progress and all the “unlockable” features progress?
How greedy and low is giving us “past” months to play that we need to pay to play when the game was only released today? The correct and decent thing to do was give us all those days for free simply because we couldn’t play them even if we wanted to! It only makes sense.
Moms said it above, they can shove their past locked puzzles and challenges that require to use power ups (that we have to buy of course) wherever they want!
Oh! almost forgot, they lil Nestor showing up on the grid every time you place a number correctly is soooo sooo annoying! Is there a way to shut it off?
mookermom11 says
Played first game and lost. Changed the setting to cell first and tried again on easy. As long as they let me replay the puzzle without having to pay for anything, I am okay with the game. It’s not a favorite game of mine, but if I can do it for a weekly challenge, that’s all I care about. I can pass on mix and match challenges until I get more familiar with the game play.
mary v says
I finish today 3 puzzle. then i play all 3 again and you get rank credit if you keep replay the 3 puzzle.
Chris says
thats good to know. but you do not get progress in unlocking the different backgrounds or whatever… I replayed a puzzle on easy and it still showed 2 for the unlock progress.
Lizz says
I love the game but not enuf to pay to play.
Sandy H says
My question is to Lura and Badge Hungry. Will you be posting the daily answers to the puzzles like you do for Trivial pursuit and Crossword Cove?
FEM says
wouldn’t that be great if she did?….great question…
Lois says
Sure would!
jigsawing says
Isn’t this an invasion of our privacy by publicly announcing our gem purchases by awarding us a badge for
buying so many power-ups?
cem8317 says
Well I don’t like it and I won’t be playing it, especially daily.
patsy00 says
Hi do we have to play all three daily to get credit. Thanks
Cloud says
There isn’t even a way to earn free power-ups =( Pogo expects players to shell out over a $1000 worth of gems in order to earn all of the power-up game award badges!!!!!
nessa says
Oh boy!
I just thought of something, something bad.
Is this how the next “Word Search Daily” is going to be?
Pay to unlock days you missed doing? and Pay to unlock a bunch of puzzles that were not even available to play because the game didn’t even exist?
Tons of badges awarded for using power ups you have to buy of course?
Please Nooo!
MomsBassetHound says
Probably!
I thought of the same thing….GMTA ๐

MomsBassetHound says
Just b/c I’m a math person I decided to sit down and figure out what it would cost to get those 24 power up badges. It’s not pretty. It’s actually downright disgusting.
If you want all 24 power up badges you need to purchase 500 Time Freeze power ups, 500 Hint power ups, 500 Magic Eye power ups, and 500 Magic Lamp power ups.
The largest package for the Time Freeze power ups is 10 for 85 gems, 500 would cost 4,250 gems.
The largest package for the Hint power ups is 10 for 42 gems, 500 would cost 2,100 gems.
The largest package for the Magic Eye power ups is 10 for 110 gems, 500 would cost 5,500 gems.
The largest package for the Magic Lamp power ups is 10 for 110 gems, 500 would cost 5,500 gems.
That’s a total of 17,350 gems. The largest package of gems is 2,000 for $120.
This means that it would cost a minimum of $1,041. to get those 24 badges.
Suz
RyzandShyn says
That’s actually disgusting for sure. So now, instead of just planting subtle pay-to-play money grabs throughout the site – like Quinn’s and Jet Set, they’re just blatantly throwing them at us. Geez!
nessa says
In all fairness we have to admit that Pogo is very nice, understanding and above all extremely generous! lol because you have to remember that they graciously gave us 1 of each power up included in the game!
So we “only” need to buy 499 of each! ๐ ๐
That means savings for $2.08 out of $1,041.00 !!!! ๐คฃ
Wow! isn’t this generous or what? ๐คฃ
Now we can sit down and cry because this is only the beginning!๐ข
This is the new Pogo. ๐คข
And then I wonder how many players will just start buying power ups to “earn” those badges w/o realizing how much they are really paying for them!
Just wait and see how the new “Reward system” they say they are working on to replace tokens will be.
They will probably change the name tokens for coins or chips or whatever and make us pay for them!
Dorothy3300 says
Of all the things I’ve lost in life, I miss my mind the most. But I guess a little bit remains. No way will I pay over $1000.00 for 24 badges.
I am one of those people that buy every M&M and premium badge. But have reached my limit with these badges.
I love Sudoku so will play the 3 levels of the daily each day but will not buy the Powerups or the keys to unlock puzzles offered before the game was offered nor buy any days ahead.
Thank you for this eye opener Moms.
Chris says
you could wait for a sale in the game, im sure they will have one eventually… ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

GreenT says
I’m willing to spend over $40 for a badge–said no one ever!!
Question: So you have to play about 84-94 unique puzzles each month to unlock “themes.” Whoop-de-doo! What are themes and what good are they?
liliy says
Just to let everyone know the puzzle is the same every time
Jeff says
Interesting…this sounds like a potential daily post for those of us who just cant do “Hard” or even “Medium”.
PrairiesDweller says
Yesterday I started the puzzle but after a minute my phone rang. I closed the game and didnโt return. Today I went back and yesterdayโs game is available for free. Perhaps just starting a daily will keep it free permanently. People could add it to their to-do list like collecting parlour and Poppit Sprint coins.๐
Chris says
this game makes me wonder, they are making an updated Word Search Daily… I bet they make it the same as this.. where you must purchase keys to play prior puzzles and if you miss a day.
MomsBassetHound says
I don’t think you’ll find anyone that disagrees with that statement.
Suz
RyzandShyn says
Yes, I bet that’s what they do….they found a money-grab formula and they’ll stick with it.
They can keep it. I haven’t even wanted to go try it. If it’s a weekly or it gets stuck in a PBA I want then I suppose I’ll play it, but they can keep all the M&Ms and their power-ups…lol ๐
Lizz says
I hate to say it but I was looking forward to the daily Sudoku and the Word search but maybe I will change my mind here. I have had company and no time to play any games where I have to think…so did not do them. After reading all of the comments, I am not going to rush.
Kirsten says
Thanks all for posting your comments very helpful.
Have been playing on hard each day, Confusion has set in. Is it possible to play 3 puzzles a day? If so how and are there any advantages?
Kirsten says
Found the answer to my own questions. Went back and picked easy and medium and was able to do those puzzles. Also when completed did gain rank points so will be doing all three each day.
Have a good day all!
JayArvee says
My AHA moment: You can use the keyboard to type in the numbers.
Jean says
I have a few questions….
1- does replaying puzzles on easy, med & hard count towards the “in game badges”?
2- do you get a “free key” each day to unlock one prior date?
I do not want to “buy” keys or power ups
(POGO has gone overboard setting those requirements for “in game -power up use” badges!)
I’ll play one puzzle each day if we don’t get a “free” daily key ,for some reason I thought we did, but I don’t see it anywhere, that is why I am asking
Thank You
MomsBassetHound says
The only key that is free is the 1 they started us out with. You have to buy all others.
Yes, replaying the puzzles count towards rank and the in game awards. I have the badge for 10 on easy and I’ve only done the days that have been free, but I redid puzzles to earn the 3 M&M Badges.
Suz
Jean says
I just tried playing 25 easy puzzles & 25 medium puzzles and did not get those “in-game’badges” those must be for each “new” day ๐
Thank you, at least I was ranking up lol
MomsBassetHound says
Pogo is working on changing some of the requirements. I did see someone that had the first badge for the hard puzzles yesterday, but not for the easy or medium. Maybe they have changed some of them already.
Suz
Jean says
Ty, I will keep checking ….. just played 25 more on Hard & no badge yet
Jean says
I caved in & bought the “keys” …. the Easy Medium & Hard 25 game badges popped up, so I guess those are for ‘New Days”
mary v says
check your badge count Jeans cause I just did 25 easy and got the badge but it took about 10 min to show up
Jean says
ty l will check the badge page to see if I got it . Pogo isn’t keeping count very well . I should of earned the Easy & Medium (50) the same time as Hard (50) because I bought keys for 30 days
RoLlINg My eYeBaLLs!!! BanGiNG mY HeaD on the DESK!!!! 90 puzzles!!!! I’ve been in this game from 8am! what was I thinking?????
Jean says
Mary – the EASY II badge just popped up today, (but not the Medium II badge?)
oh, and today I bought another 30 days of keys ๐
I am unlocking the past days, not the future dates
nessa says
There is no badge for doing 10 Easy puzzles
The first one, Easy I badge, is for 25 easy puzzles
There is one badge for completing 10 puzzles (any 10 palying easy medium or hard)
I’m thinking this is the one you got?
eggfarmer says
To Jean, – I am completely confused as to why you are buying the keys for the past days.
I have not done so, just played the games that are open on a daily basis, and done the tip of coming back in and filling in the final number, and I have been awarded all of the badges that you have referred to without spending a single gem.
Tommi says
I agree with everything you are all saying regarding the paying for power-ups to get those badges – I also did the math and it isn’t pretty. I wonder why they don’t just “award” power-ups for every X amount of games – That is how Slingo Blast gets us power-ups. I hope they see all these reactions because I will normally pay for badges, and some game power-ups – but this is ridiculous and will not waste gems (money) on any of those.
