it must be nice for some people to get to buy gems its not fair that pogo doesn,t do this untill at the end of the month i don,t get paid untill the 1st i am upset i will be left out of this sale so very Sad another dispoointment for me

Pogo does it to coincide with special events, and the birthday for Club Pogo falls on the 23rd.

Now that we all know that Pogo does this you just need to start a fund for when the next sale happens. If it’s around the holidays, like the first gem sale, that will not be in the beginning of the month either.

And not everyone gets paid on the 1st. My check comes on the 4th Wednesday of every month. It can come as early as the 22nd or as late as the 28th. This month it’s the 25th. So it’s different for everyone.

I am lucky and do not have to wait for the first of the month, but then I do wait until a good sale before I purchase. I don’t look at the price per gem but what the cost of a badge would be…a 16 gem badge costs me $3.20 but on sale at 5.cents a gem, it is .80 cents. It does make a difference. It is like going to the grocery store, you watch the sales and save.

I bought the largest pack the last time they had a “sale”. I should have known that wasn’t a very good sale. This time is much better but it won’t let me buy the large pack now. πŸ™

There have only been 2 sales prior to this, 1 December 2017 and 1 in March 2018.

If you were talking about a couple of weeks ago there was no sale. Pogo was just advertising them. That was the lowest thing they ever did b/c everyone thought it meant a gem sale when they saw it.

The maximum amount of gems you can have is 4164, probably why you can’t purchase the largest package.

I am not really getting a sale. Cause when I bought the 39.99 pack for 550 gems it cost me 62.00. Wow I didn’t know that it would cost me that much. I am glad to have the gems. I was gonna buy a few more but I cannot pay that price. I am happy for the ones that got a good sale. Happy playing and have fun doing your badges.Thank you Pogo, and thanks to Badgehungry for always posting and letting us know what is going on. Just to let you know, I love this site. I been coming here for a long time now. I use to tell everyone that they should come here if they want to know what is going on in Pogo. Have a good day everyone and take care.

I just bought the big package when Pogo had GEM GALORE all over the main page….

I know it is my own dumb fault for not checking closer but I got so excited to think there was a sale going on I never even read anything, just bought and then found out it was NO SALE AT ALL…

A lesson well learned but I also say shame on Pogo for doing that and shame on me for falling for it

That was probably the lowest thing that Pogo ever did. I am sure that you aren’t the only member that purchased them. I’m sorry!!

      GerBear18220 –
I agree with Suz – it seems like a planned trick to get people to buy gems so that they would have so many they couldn’t take advantage of the sale coming the very next week.
I’m sorry that happened to you.

Note: the maximum number of Gems you can have in your account is 4,164. If you try to purchase a gem package that will put you over the max amount, your sale will not go through. More than likely that is why the 2 largest packages are grayed out.

        July 23, 2018 at 6:12 pm

i only had 120 gems so having too many wasnt the problem…i left ff which didnt show the increase and went to chrome and that showed it.. went to drs appt and when i came back ff also showed the correct amount..so everything is ok with gems..

I must admit I am a little disappointed. I realise that their birthday is now, but the vast majority of people get paid at the end of a month or beginning of a month. I get paid next Friday and every 4 weeks which is when I buy gems and because this sale wasn’t advertised I haven’t got the finances to take advantage. Admittedly I do only ever buy the 500 gem pack but it’s still 50 gems I’m missing out on. But it is what it is.

Happy shopping and spending to all those able to take advantage of this sale.

I am so glad I waited until this morning to see what the sale was n gems, because with only 66 gems remaining in my account, I needed gems!! πŸ™‚ I will buy the largest package, but what I want to know is why does it say “Incl.Bonus 1300”? Regularly there are 2,000 gems in that particular package, which is 500 more. than before!

    Have fun, everyone! πŸ™‚

    • tiggerlicious196 says

      • Brenda M. says

        July 23, 2018 at 1:53 pm

The way I see it there are aonly 500 “bonus” 2,000 + 500 bonus gems- 2,500

        • MomsBassetHound says

          July 23, 2018 at 4:09 pm

But the normal 2,000 gem package includes 800 bonus gems, so when you add in the additional 500 there are a total of 1300 bonus gems.

I didn’t know Best Buy had the card. I get the same deal through Walmart online and they send me the pin code in an email so I don’t need the physical card. On this gem sale the only bargains are the 2 largest gem ones but I just can’t see myself spending that much on them at one time but more power to people that can and do.

  21. Inquirer00 says

    July 23, 2018 at 3:17 pm

I just bought the $19.99 package, and my gems weren’t added. I checked for an email stating that I’d made a premium purchase, but nothing had come through. I thought maybe I’d not completed the transaction and went back to the purchase page and tried again. Still no gems or email. Then I went to the minimall to get my free items and also did one gem purchase. All of a sudden, my gem total increased, but by double what I’d intended to buy. Then I remembered that the same thing had happened to me last time. I also remembered that that was the first time I’d bought gems on the revised gem-buying page. I’ve never had this happen in all the years I bought before. Is this delay tactic meant to get people to do just what I did and order twice??? Does anyone think I stand a chance of getting the second charge back this time?

    • Cindy4764 says

      July 23, 2018 at 5:36 pm

As many folks have been mentioning, what happens at times is that the gems don’t show up until you sign out and then back in. Or, I’d try refreshing the page first and if that doesn’t work, then sign out and back in.

It also happens with badge count after winning a badge and probably some other things as well. Refreshing the page sometimes works but if it doesn’t signing out and then back in usually does work.

    • nessa says

      July 23, 2018 at 10:39 pm

But the way you put it you did buy gems twice.
You said you bought one pack then you went and “tried again”, this was your second purchase.

I don’t think we get a receipt in our emails anymore, at least not since they changed ot the new the gem store page.
We don’t even get an online “final confirmation page” saying how much you paid, your gems before and your final gem balance like we used to get.

I don’t remember having this problem, my gems are added right away the second I click Confirm and get the green checkmark but next time, before you “try again” maybe check your gem transaction record, if the transaction went through it will say Added X-amount of gems, also check your bank to see if they charged your account, then completely close your browser and log back in to see if the gem balance shows correct
Contacting a Pogo help person can be a hassle, maybe doing all the above is faster and better before you contact them.

I have been having such a good time buying badges, I think I need to buy more gems tomorrow……….hahaah. The good news is that I have not been a big buyer of badges in the past and this may be the end. I will wait and see.

    July 24, 2018 at 12:34 pm

For those wondering about the last Gem sale(s) I looked them up. The last one was Spring Special, March 19 and only three packages were on sale.

Get 275 Pogo Gems for $19.99 (+25 more than before) – 7.3c per Gem
Get 1700 Pogo Gems for $79.99 (+450 more than before) – 4.7c per Gem
Get 2800 Pogo Gems for $119.99 (+800 more than before) – 4.3c per Gem

The one before that (the first sale) was Holiday Special, December 11 and again only three packages were on sale.

Get 700 Pogo Gems for $39.99 (+200 more than before) – 5.7c per Gem
Get 1,650 Pogo Gems for $79.99 (+400 more than before) – 4.8c per Gem
Get 2,600 Pogo Gems for $119.99 (+600 more than before) – 4.6c per Gem

So, yes, the largest package is smaller this time than either of the other two times but this time they put every single package on sale and that is good for the folks who usually get the smaller packages.

I have a feeling tokens are going away and you have to use Gems for everything. I asked the Blog in Pogo about the Mini Mall, and response was that all token items will be FREE from now on. How sad as I can’t afford throwing my money away on gems.

    • MomsBassetHound says

      July 24, 2018 at 8:40 pm

Pogo Llama has been saying that for months. She gets questions under every blog. She even said last week that the bonus token promotions were going to be stopped, but gave no date.

But with making all the static mini items free there wouldn’t be anything to use tokens for, other than expressions.
