Dreamfields, another free-to-play online game from Big Fish Games, involves completing quests, collecting resources, and expanding your Dream. It gives you the option of adding your friends to send gifts and visit their Dreams. It’s also a game with many different things to keep track of, and it can be a lot for a new player. If you’d like to give it a try, keep reading for some tips and tricks that will help you understand the game, get started on the right foot, and make good progress.
Each Dreamfields player has their own Dream. Within your Dream, you’ll be able to view and finish various quests by collecting and planting items, or completing certain tasks. Your Dream also contains a wide variety of structures and plants, from which you can collect resources, including Coins, grass, and food items. To see how many Coins you currently have, look in the upper-left corner.
As soon as you start the game, you’ll have a collection of structures and plants. To collect from them, click on them and move your mouse over the items that come out. Each time you collect an item, you’ll lose some Fantasy, which is displayed in the purple bar in the upper-right. Sometimes you’ll need help from Bears to complete tasks, such as chopping down trees or mining stones. To get the bears to help you, you’ll have to give them Jam, which can be purchased with Lunar Crystals—but more on those later.
Items and Friends
Collecting items is one of the main aspects of Dreamfields. Many quests require you to gather specific items, for example (as you’ll see below), raspberries. However, in order to get raspberries, you’ll have to have a plant that creates them. You can buy various structures, plants, and other items in the Shop using your Coins and Lunar Crystals. To access the Shop, click the button with the grocery basket on the bottom of the screen. While Coins can often be earned through leveling up and finishing quests, Lunar Crystals are harder to obtain, so try to spend them wisely, and spend Coins instead of Lunar Crystals when you have the option.
Another unique feature of Dreamfields is the ability to gather items for collections. To view the list of collections, click on the treasure chest on the right side of the screen. When you collect all the items in a collection, you’ll earn special rewards. If you put an item in a collection on your Wishlist, your friends may be able to send it to you as a gift. In order to add your friends, click the “Friends” button above the game screen. In addition to sending gifts, you’ll also be able to fly to their Dreams by clicking on their names at the bottom of the screen.
Quests and Maps
The most important thing to do in Dreamfields is complete quests, as this will allow you to earn rewards. Your quests are displayed on the left side of the screen, and if you click on a quest, you’ll be able to see more information, like in the screenshot below. If you click the “Help” button, the game will show you where your objective is, which is great if you’re not sure where to look.
If you’re having trouble completing a quest, you can pass it completely by spending your Lunar Crystals. Some quests cost more Lunar Crystals to skip than others. Each of the game’s maps contains a certain number of quests, and to view how much progress you’ve made, click on the book button in the upper-left. By clicking the map button on the right side, you’ll be able to move to different maps. However, later maps can only be unlocked by building certain items, and you’ll need to level up before you can unlock these. Keep making progress, and you’ll soon be able to travel between all of Dreamfields’ different maps.
As you can see, Dreamfieldshas a lot to offer, and it might take you some time to become accustomed to all of its features. If you keep at it, though, you’ll slowly understand how the game works and become able to improve your Dream and complete quests. However, there’s a lot more to learn than would fit here, so let us know in the comments if you have any other strategies or tips!
