Happy Weekend Everyone!
Kathy wrote in with this weekend’s topic:
What is your favorite Pogo hidden object game and why?
The weekend open thread is a regular feature at BadgeHungry. Every weekend, we chat about the discussion topic, or anything else Pogo-related. It’s a great place to test the waters of commenting and introduce yourself, ask for help with a badge, or talk about Pogo with friends.
See you in the comments!

I love Claire Hart. =)
Beverly (BBrown0316) says
Undiscovered World
Trudy says
Not even a fan of ANY HOG’s sorry!
mbchiquet says
My favorite is Claire Hart 🙂 I would have picked Clue but I don’t really care for the find the difference part.
mbchiquet says
And by the way I’d love more people to chat with when I play if you want to add me to your friends list ❤️
BHFAN says
I like Clue — the scenes are well executed with great detail, huge variety, and NO real time limit, ane no “gimmicks”.
MomsBassetHound says
There’s none that I really dislike. The only one I wouldn’t miss if it went away is Sherlock Holmes, but have never missed an episode 🙂
But for a favorite I will have to pick Big City Adventure. I like the 2 puzzles at the end.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Prayers continue for those impacted by the hurricane.
Big City Adventure. I love the two challenges at the end, adds something different than just finding objects.
Judi says
I hate HOGS but I can stand Claire Hart.
dottiedeedee says
Trudy, I’m with you! I have a bad habit of laying things down, then forgetting where I put them. So, being confronted with a room room of clutter, and given the task of finding something, is NOT fun for me, lol.
But, of the ones offered, I find Claire the least undaunting.
Mary V. says
I love clue but also like big city adventure.
Stephie says
Eh, they all hurt my eyes tho the Sherlock one is the worse for that. If I had to pick one it would be Clue but I really don’t like the find the difference part at the end. Of all these games though (Claire, Letters, etc.), I like that the artwork improves in later episodes (which makes it hurt my eyes less).
MT says
The hidden object games are not my favorite games in Pogo. If I had to choose only one to play it would be Clue. I usually find one episode I know by heart to do anytime we have a challenge to complete. I will buy clue for my family to play when we have a nice sale of 1/2 off or buy one get one free sale. It has been a long time since Pogo has offered these sales but I still hope to see one again. 🙂
Madeforlovingguy says
I used to enjoy them all and played them regularly, keeping up to date whenever a new episode was released but since I had a 6 month break from pogo last year I realised just how much money I was spending on gems. Since returning to pogo gems are considered a luxury I purchase every so often and I am so far behind in the hogs I doubt I will ever catch up. But it has meant I enjoy pogo far more now I am not purchasing everything including badges I can’t win that are just sat there.
Have a safe weekend everyone 🙂
Maria S says
That’s how I feel. Now that I am not a slave to badges I enjoy POGO so much more!
toni/bambi says
My favorite used to be letters from no where, since you always had to find the cat and the 3 stamps, but since they won’t make any new episodes, I don’t really like any of them.
JayArvee says
Letters From Nowhere is also my favorite. I do wish they would kidnap someone else so that we could get more episodes.
lynn says
i prefer big city i like the puzzles at the end then undiscovered world.i hate claire heart they can take sherlock amazing adventures throw them out.clue is not bad but the difference at the end has stop me finishing allot of badges
jigsawing says
My favorite is Claire Hart b/c most everything about it is pretty: the scenes, badges and icons.
Prayers for all suffering the throes of hurricane Mathew. What a horror.
Catherine L says
My favourite is Claire Hart. I love following the story.
Have a lovely weekend all.
Karenkisses21 says
I absolutely love Claire Hart……………..blessings &have an amazing weekend all……………………….
Jon C says
claire hart, clue, big city adventure, undiscovered world, sherlock holmes
lindajean19471 says
I love them all, but my eye problems make most very difficult to play. For that reason, Claire Hart is my favorite followed closely by Big City Adventure. For those who love the two games at the end, check out the real computer games for the Big City Adventure’s. I have them all. They put one of the mini games between each location so you get lots of them in each episode.
Casey says
Oh, don’t make me choose! MY favorites are Claire Hart 1st, undiscovered world, 2nd, Big City 3rd. I even like the music. I would like Clue more if ‘finding the difference’ was gone and if the music wasn’t the same boring tone. I did like Letters to Nowhere, but there’s no new episodes and it has gotten boring. Only played it the other day for the daily tokes.
ccboots56 says
I need the sound in most games because of my
poor eyesight. The sound tells me where I am in
a game. In CLUE, that is one of the few games
that I turn my speakers off. I can’t stand that
noise in CLUE.
ccboots56 says
My two favorites are Claire Hart and Big City Adventures.
but I have not been able to purchase episodes for either
for quite sometime. Hope that changes next year. I would
love to get my hands on Washington DC in BCA. I used to
live just outside of Washington for a short time.
We have a badge in big city, next week and that will finish
off any unused episodes I have for that game.
Renee Allen says
I love them all, wish there were more that I could afford. I get really excited when there is a free episode! I drop what I’m doing and play the newest one often.
Casey says
I always wait for a sale. Buy 1 get one, etc. I realized I was spending WAY too much money on games. Either HOG episodes, PBA’s, M&M, there’s eventually a sale. Although, occasionally, I see something I have no patience to wait for, so I spend a few more gems here and there. lol.
ccboots56 says
I have been that way with the mix n match badges this year.
I still get the albums, except I will wait on this one. I do not
buy the HOG episodes at the present time either.
I peeked thru the mix n match the other day, and found a couple
I wanted so I could play them with the album badges I have.
One of those is in zuma slots that I am working on.
RyzandShyn says
I only like two – Claire and Clue – and I guess I like them about the same.
Claire – I like the artwork, I like the music, many of the badges have usable icons, and I can find everything well enough.
Clue – I like the artwork, I like the “find the difference” part, I like I can get help for it (if needed) here on BH
Blysse says
I do prefer the art in Claire in general. As well as being pretty, objects are generally easy to find.
wv2hot4u says
Clue and Claire Haet
Blysse says
I don’t have any preference.
For me, they’re just quick badges to earn. I refuse to even waste time reading the story lines and skip all of the plot–all HOGs are to me is an increase in badge count.
RyzandShyn says
Funny you mentioned that because although I never really thought about it before, I never read the story line either. I just play for the badge.
I guess people do though because I noticed people posting comments about someone getting killed off in Claire. That also made me realize I have no idea who it is because I never read….LOL.
Jenie says
Prayers to all of the beautiful people in Florida in the path of Hurricane Matthew. My heart is breaking for everyone.. I love all of the ones I have played so far, but Claire and Clue are the ones I am playing the most now by playing caught up after being away for awhile they have added more free ones and I am glad cause I don’t have extra money to put out on a game to play. Have a wonderful and safe weekend everyone.. Jenie
Curiouskas2 says
I love them all, but if I had to choose, it would be Clue followed closely by Claire Hart.
Captiva007Pl says
I like all of them – except Sherlock – that one’s more like a comic book. But I love Clue. I don’t know exactly why it’s my favorite, maybe because it was the first one, if I remember correctly. But yeah, I love Clue.
kitfoo3 says
I used to like undiscovered world and amazing adventures and the wife liked clare hart, but when I reviewed how much we were spending for HOGs, we both stopped playing them. Besides, 20 gems is tooooo much for a single episode which can B played in 5 minutes or less.
rowszee says
I like the Undiscovered World HOG the best as it is a bit more challenging. I find Clue is so easy that it is no fun. I like to at least have to hunt for the objects.
On another note I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on with the emoticons. Kind of miss them.
Have a good Thanksgiving my fellow Canadians and I hope the rest of you have a great and safe weekend.
Rose
Blysse says
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! 🙂
snstlvr48 says
I like Big City Advance
swerley00 says
I don’t really care for the HOGs, but I like Claire Hart the best out of all of them. I like the graphics and the objects are generally easier to find. I don’t really follow the story lines and only play when there is a badge involved.
Off topic, I am going to try to win the dreaded Dice Derby Grand Prix badge this week. It requires winning 600 or more tokens 10 times. If anyone is willing to help me out by losing, that would be great! If I am playing, you will find me in the 6 lap topic Inside Groove room. I am going to work on it some tonight, Saturday night, and off and on Sunday and Monday until I hopefully win it.
Have a fabulous weekend. 🙂
ccboots56 says
For that Dice Derby badge, you will need to play and
win the 9 lap races. 6 lap will not pay enough tokens,
unless you get a lucky spin.
swerley00 says
Last time I attempted this badge, we tried in 6 and 9 lap rooms. It was pretty even on the token payouts. I got 1 earlier tonight in about 30 minutes in the 6 lap room. I’m hoping it wasn’t just beginners luck. I guess I’m just hoping that I will improve my odds if I finish the game faster. 🙂
Terry Towle says
It’s random. So good for you! 6>9 every time! message me to remind me and i’ll be there… bonedance666 gl and you can do this!
swerley00 says
Thanks to 8 fabulous Badgehungry friends, I was able to win my Dice Derby badge. We did end up back in the 9 lap room after all. The only high spins I got in the 6 lap rooms were when I was playing against 3 robots.
Thank you Lura for having such a great website where we are able to help each other out. Badgehungry rocks!
angelishus2 says
If you need help tonight I will be playing, so send message on Pogo my name is the same.
Terry Towle says
Do you set a private room? It will prevent others from coming in and trying to win. Just curious.
swerley00 says
Good idea. If you would like to help, the password will be BH.
playbitty says
Please ….how do I copy a link to newest update of flash? And would someone be so kind as to tell me the update/ number….? lol
Many thanks 🙂
dottiedeedee says
Be careful. I received a pop-up saying I had to upgrade my flash two days ago. I checked the URL and and it wasn’t from Adobe. I checked with my McAfee virus protector and it said it was a fake site.
If you right click within an opened flash game, on an open area of the game you will bring up the Flash menu which will include the “check for updates” option. This would be safe.
Gwen says
I love them all. Top 3 : Claire , Clue , Sherlock.
Nancy V says
I love the HOGs games, especially “Undiscovered World”, BUT hate Sherlock Holmes.
Does anyone know why it takes so long for POGO to load? Or is it my PC?
RyzandShyn says
It’s been taking a long time for me also. I’ve done all the computer clearing, cleaning, re-booting that is always suggested, so I figure the delay must be on their side.
babsiebaby7 says
I like the Claire hart one…can’t stand the Sherlock one..the picture isn’t clear and I can’t stand the what’s the difference at the end..also clue would be fine if we didn’t have to find items with the flashlight. the dark screen hurts my eyes..undiscovered is ok but there’s so much stuff its hard to find the items. also cant stand the ones who have those pipes we have to put together, very annoying, only play that when theres a badge if I have to, or pass on it.
off topic…why doesn’t pogo have an album of pool
also I used to like gin but its pretty bad if you are playing the bots and the first card you discard, the bot goes out on gin, not fair…………as for playing that game with a real person, would be nice but people come and go in the room and its disrupting so that’s why I play bots or try and find someone who can help. so, if there’s anyone out there in badge hungry who can help me with gin, drop a pogo note or find me in game room….thanks
ccboots56 says
Pool is a java base game, that is why there is no album for it.
adacia10 says
Guess if I had to choose it would be Letters From Nowhere. Seems to have the cleanest slate to see on and relaxing background music. It’s the only HOG I’ve actually bought episodes for. HOG’s were extremely fun when they first came out until they became “evolved”. Now days, you play one, you’ve played them all. Many look neat at a glance and I’ll download a free trial. It never fails. You end up with more cinematic story telling than game play (talking to BF now lol). I’m just an old school gamer who lived in the arcades as a child. I want to play the game, not watch it. Nothing would make me happier than to see pogo put out some ‘arcade’ games that meme pac-man, asteroids, space invaders etc etc.
Okii Dokii, had to get that little rant out. Thank you for letting me vent.
Astrocattt says
#1 for me is Clue
MsTish5720 says
Definitely for me, my favorite has to be Claire Hart.
I love the game and play it as often as I can.
GerBear18220 says
Clue is my favorite but I also do not like PICK THE DIFFERENCES at the end of the game
I only buy the CLUE episodes…..
I really like CH but for me some of the episodes are so hard I quit buying them long ago…..
pogoholic says
i love big city adventure.
widow says
As stated before, I believe Clue was the first one released, so I started buying that one, and have tried to keep up w/ buying all the episodes. Usually accomplished when there’s a sale. I’m also not crazy about the “Find the Difference” part. Seems I get down to one or two items left and get frustrated looking for those. Also at times the fog is just too thick for my eyes. But since I started with Clue, I stick with it.
I also enjoy when a free Claire Hart comes along, I agree about the pretty scenery and items not being too difficult to find. I wish I had the means to have kept up with those also, but one game for gems is enough for me. I spend most of my gems on M-n-M’s, PBAS, and the mall.
jakeylily says
I like Big City Adventure the most. I’m a bit of a history and geography buff, so I love “exploring” new locations and reading the little postcards with information about the location. Claire Hart is also good because I find it to be the clearest as far as finding the objects…I rarely need to use hints on that game.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend and please stay safe all those who are affected by the storms.
Kendra says
My favorite is Claire Hart! For some reason, Claire Hart seems to run the best on my computer and I just seem to enjoy the storyline and characters more.
mary says
Like them all
BizzyBee says
Claire Hart: Soul Searcher. Love the stories.
MinuteMaid says
I love all the HOG’s…..i’m a sucker for punishment……
Poprabbit says
Rabbit loves Clue because of the fun detecting the great variety of objects hidden in exciting and beautiful places spanning the globe. The superb artwork provides scenery on a worldwide scope that allows visitation of realistic places ranging from ordinary rooms and exotic markets to isolated arctic outposts and submarine pens. A variety of search techniques is provided by comparison of twin views and darkened scenes lit by flashlights and fog-cutters. These keep up interest in playing without leaving the pictures to finish distracting puzzles and non-visual side challenges. Naturally, rabbit enjoyed the bunny episodes with Agent Plum (Bunny Business, Harebrained, Hop to it, Rare Hares) and hops more of these fur-tastic episodes will return in the future.
WilliamPorygon says
My favorite is Clue. I don’t really know why. I don’t particularly like it that much, but if I had to play a HOG it’s the one I’d prefer.
jhazeleyes says
I like Claire Hart. I don’t know if anyone has asked this question so I am going to ask, why did the numbers next to people that email disappear when BH’s web page changed? I liked that feature b/c when you refer back to an Individual’s all you have to do is kind of remember their number, now I have to scroll through everyone and hope I don’t miss their comment b/c if I do I have to go back again and scroll through everyone else’s comments. Okay I let my Club Pogo lapse when I will get it bac not sure. Just wondering if I play some games if it will still count towards rank and show up when I do sign back up for Club?
Lura says
Yep.
madmaude74 says
Love them all but Clue is probably my favorite of all. I wasn’t sad when Letter went away. Finding stamps was too hard for me.
Esque says
I hate them all. They were fun when they first came out, but now, they’re just a chore. I do them for the badges, but that’s about it. However, really, Beck?! And, Alexis only lost her brother, how long ago?
I support any game others like, I know Pogo can’t please everyone. I thought this latest album showed the incongruity – so many people complaining about too easy challenges and others about those too difficult. They can’t win.
Marcy says
Love Clue. Own every episode and replay them often so I can find all the objects, Find the difference is my favorite part. Have also earned over 130 million tokens playing Clue. Easy tokens. Hope Clue stays around a long, long time
All the rest seem to have stories and puzzles that interrupt play. Don’t interrupt me when I am searching…..it’s annoying.
sphoebus31 says
#1 Big City Adventure–I like the postcards, but admit I don’t always read them when I’m in a hurry.
#2 Claire–I like the artwork, and the difficulty level is just right for me.
Brenda M. says
I guess it would be Claire Hart, but I’m not a fan of any HOGs. . 🙂
Have fun, everyone!!! 🙂
millie, skylabastro says
Clue is my favorite, and then Sherlock, but I love them all. I like to play Clue over and over, just to earn the tokens. I can earn 4,000 coins in every game I replay, and more coins if I haven’t replayed it too much lol.
Thanks for this topic. Everyone have a great weekend and I pray you are all safe following hurricane Matthew.

Love Big City!!! I’ve done quite a bit of travel and love it when they go to a city I know! Also love the two puzzles at the end!
It’s the one HOG I actually look forward to, each week!

CLUE – since I have been playing it the longest. But BIG City is close.
Cyrabi says
I don’t really have a favorite, I like some of the story lines in Clue and Claire Hart.
