I will be playing in a blackout room(though I’ll have chat off most likely because of the groaners)…I’m kinda loathing that badge because so many people still get really upset and it’s just not really conductive for them to but they still do it 🙁 Word Whomp will take a bit of time but I plan on playing at my pace and if I run out of time then that’s ok I will just keep trying

Definitely will play with chat off. EWB players are passionate about the black out cards in the sharing rooms. Word Whomp – will hit new game until I see the needed letters.
mojogrant says
the sharing rooms are in Bingo Luau

I believe she meant “passing rooms” and yes people get upset because the name says it all passing. it takes sometimes 6 -8 wild cones to black out i will try black out rooms previously i just went to a room by myself, after 2 games u get enough pine cones to bo. as for my Nestor and his buddies meeting i am looking forwards to it …Bring it ON hehe!!!!
I keep hoping that Pogo will add more ranks to whomp …

Yes sorry I meant passing rooms, I get my bingo’s mixed up haha!

For Word Whomp if the needed letters aren’t in the puzzle, you can hit New Game until they show up.

I won’t play in a passing room, that way nobody will get excited.

I agree not to play in passing rooms when trying for blackouts. What I do to get a lot of passed cones is click on the work “players” at the top of the column to sort by number of players in a room. I feel that I get more cones with more players in the room.

I will play Word Whomp like Suz, I always press new game when I need certain letters and I will try to activate similar badges to go with each game. I am not sure how I will play EWB, I will probably play in passing rooms so I can get more acorns to fill up the cards isn’t that how you get the acorns?

You get wilds in all EWB rooms, not just the passing rooms.

Since Everyone will be using the acorns to blackout cards playing in “passing rooms” to try to take advantage of all the wilds usually moving around, will not be that much of a difference this time.
I never blackout in passing rooms and this time will be no different.
I will play by my own in an empty room, this way acorns I pass will come back to me and I can use them the way I want without upsetting other players just for the sake of a badge.
If I’m lucky and quick I can even blackout 2 cards in one game, if not, well the badge will take me 8 games which is really nothing .
justkristie_ says
yes, i totally agree.

I am planning to play in the speedy rooms blackout. I am going to Big Blackout badge blackout 6 games.
I am to going save my acorns that are passed me to help me blackout my cards.
drkchclvr says
Is there a limit to how many acorns you can collect and save from game to game?

WW – Going to hit new name if I don’t see the needed letters in the line-up. Going to rely on the fact that each group is listed alphabetically (groups being the 3 letter words, 4 letter words and so on) to help me find them all.
EWB – Will play 5 cards, speedy. Normally I’d say I’d play in the passing rooms, but since everyone will be looking for blackouts I don’t think it’ll matter much where you play. I anticipate having to save wild pinecones, maybe even from one game to the next, to get the blackouts.
gbpack says
For EWB, I plan on playing in a room by myself as much as possible, so that all wilds get passed to myself. Can usually get 1 card each game blacked out this way. For WW, as Cyrabi mentioned, hit new game until needed letters show up. Will take time, but this will shorten the timeframe some.
Good games this week…enjoy!!!!!!!

Actually, EWB you could play by yourself, just use the acorns to send yourself more, using them as you go and then the very last ones use to black out the last few spaces in your most filled card. If you don’t use the wilds as you go then the end counts down very rapidly!
It is easiest to play in any room other than a passing room (Anyplace else b/o is celebrated as an achievement)with 8-10 people in the room and pace yourself so that you see clearly which room will have the least wilds needed to fill in the spaces.
moosette776 says
EWB I usually always play in passing rooms, very rarely get BO’s. If I do I save that last bingo on that card until the time starts clicking down and then I bingo giving me the BO.
WW I’ll just do like everyone else and hit new game.
jhazeleyes says
Thank you Suz, I will play in EWB and not have to worry about all the drama in the other rooms.
Thank you again. Judy 🙂
