Have you seen Pogo’s April Fools’ joke this year? Real life badges! Anyway, since merriment is in the air this weekend, let’s talk about the humorous side of Pogo.

  1. Pogo always does such a bang up job with their April
    Fool’s Day jokes! I really enjoyed this one too lol.
    They almost had me too but to be fair it was before my
    coffee lol. Plus when read on about them sending peeps
    out to verify it well then I knew hehehe! I know one year they
    had peeps wanting to sign up for Pogoland!
    Me I can’t remember the last trick I tried for this day. Have
    a great April Fool’s Day ev1!

  2. Today’s April Fools’ joke is by far the cleverest , funniest Pogo humor I’ve ever read. What fun they must have had dreaming it up!

  3. Have we had one each year? Don’t know why but I can only remember three including this one.
    Out of the three I remember I guess the best one was the one when we got that special edition badge in 2008 that reads ” Click here for 999 billion tokens”.
    I was new to Pogo, really, maybe a couple weeks “old” only plus we don’t have April Fool’s Day here where I live (I think we have one but not in April) so or course I thought it was real, not really 999 billion to each player but split between all members and it still was a lot of tokens for me, maybe over 100,000 for each or so.
    Long story short….I clicked on the badge and clicked and clicked but no tokens !!!
    Months later I was still thinking that the offer was real but I had missed it for some reason! lololol

    But best one was in here when Lura posted about new ranks for Greenback Bayou with badge images and requirements. The badges were sooooo cute and looked totally real.
    And I was super excited because I love the game, thought ranks was the best thing pogo could have come with and I totally fell for it, I think I even went to the game to start earning my first rank and then….it was April Fool’s day ! lol

  4. I talked my sister in law into going into her macho hubby’s (my brother) acct and changing all his favs from poker and sports games to Makeover Madness, Claire Hart, Wonderland Memories, Crazy Cakes and Harvest Mania!

  5. A lady was visiting her daughter last night when she asked if she could borrow a newspaper.

    “This is the 21st Century” she said “We don’t waste money on newspapers. Here use my I-Pad”

    Well the lady can tell you this…………that fly never knew what hit him………

  6. Does anyone think that yesterday with the BCA new city that never came out was one of their jokes too??? I’ve been checking the page and nothing comes up

  7. Chipawea #7 – When it’s a new city the first episode doesn’t come out until the first Thursday of the month. It was just another Pogo mistake.

  10. Off subject but I thought the new batch of solitaire gardens was gonna start today. So disappointed! I thought it was gonna be like ME and have a new one every month. So bought new slots album. Saying bye bye to my coins! Have a great weekend, everyone!!

  12. The April Fool’s joke got me real good, I woke up WAY too early, and I wasn’t in the right frame of mind when I saw it, and got pranked big time!

    As for a clean joke, here’s one:

    Knock, Knock!

    Who’s there?

    Cows go!

    Cows go, who?

    Cows go moo, not who!….

  14. Pogo really had me going the year they did “Pogo Land Amusement Park” as the April Fools joke! I remember thinking “They’ve grown THAT much already?!” “This is going to cost them a bundle!” and the like BEFORE I realized it was a joke. Duh, embarrassing.
    But my favorite jokes/pranks are the very clever mini scenes and hysterical captions I see in the HOF and all over Pogo, many designed by names I know from here on BH.
    I’ve had lots of good laughs from those!

    Not sure where you got them but surely not on Pogo.
    Do regular flies count or just fireflies? lolololol

    No need to go to the game and chek, not going to fall twice for it that I can tell but good try 😛

  19. I have a question instead… why is pogo announcing where we are at the site when we are clearly using STEALTH??? When we use this pogo feature it is to be alone or not disturbed. Sometimes to hide from someone. This is upsetting to know my where a bouts are being broadcasted.

    Chuzzle Slots , when it gets to the Pick Me Bonus Game , I am not able to pick one. I can choose any of them and click any of them , but nothing happens. I have tried Msn and Chrome, worried this is a tech issue cause I have not had this problem before and with next week’s challenge of this game I want to put any glitches to bed. Thx.

  21. I called my son, who is working in another state this week, and told him that he didn’t have to go to work…..he said, mom, did you finally hit the lottery and I said April Fool…he was poed for a bit but then laughed about it….

  22. One year many years ago, we had a “wedding” in Pogo (40s / Front Porch) on
    April Fool’s Day. Ironically, the couple got married in real life a little over a year later.

    Sort of off topic, but I truly miss the friendships that we used to make in Pogo. I don’t know if it’s because the badges are getting more tedious or it’s harder to chat (there are still a few rooms that you can make friends in), or the flash games are “unable to load chat.” I know in certain HOG games you have to go full screen (at least I do). I’ve met four people (one from my area) in real life and have made long-lasting friendships; however that seems to be rare these days. Now it’s all about the badge hunting. Those are just a few of the reasons that I’m thankful I found Badge Hungry. 🙂

  24. I was working on Mahjong Escape Friday, went to the bathroom, came back and my mouse didn’t work. It is not wireless, a plugin one. I switch the port (?) it was in, nothing. I rebooted, nothing. Tried it on different surfaces, I switched it again, rebooted again. Now I am freaking and show my 9 year old Granddaughter (who is sitting next to me this whole time watching TV) how I cannot play Mahjong using the keyboard mouse cause I am so slow with it.

    She bursts out laughing “I put tape on the bottom of it when you went to the bathroom!” I was shocked! It went on at least 15 minutes before I showed her and she just sat there staring at the TV without laughing! Sure enough, I removed the tape and it was fine! Good One Kayla!!

  25. Here’s a mystery I could use an answer for –
    -I finally got my new laptop up and running.
    -It’s playing Flash and Java well, no Pogo problems (Yippee)
    -I decided to finish Spikes Casino PBA as I still had 2 Java badges to do there.
    -I finished them today – 4/2/2016 – got the appropriate pop-ups
    -I went to my Special Album to see the PBA badge and to check which badge I got for a recently completed M&M album
    -I didn’t see the Spikes Casino completion badge – signed out, refreshed, still nothing.
    -I poked around in the Special Album and found it.
    Here’s the mystery – It says I won it on 10/31/2015 even though the badges in it give the correct date I won them on. It SHOULD say I won the PBA completion badge today, and it SHOULD be the last badge in my album.
    Anyone else have something like this happen?

  27. Any one know what is going on with the mini contests? They are starting to cancel half of them and not giving notice a couple times seems they do not care.
