For this year’s Halloween season, Pogo has skinned a few of their games for Halloween, as well as added a new Halloween Tile Set to Mahjong Escape:
A pop-up window will offer the tiles when you load a puzzle. To begin using these new tiles at another time, start a puzzle and click the Menu button in the upper right hand corner of the game window. The fourth button down on the menu is “Tile Sets”. Like the previous special tile sets, these will probably only be available for a short period of time.
Mahjong Safari and Phlinx have their usual Halloween themes, and Sweet Tooth 2 and Poppit Sprint are sporting a brand-new theme this year. Here’s what Sweet Tooth looks like:

I would love to share my thoughts on the game decorations, but it couldn’t be posted.
Let’s just say …… Who cares Pogo?

Well I went to work on a Mahjong Safari badge, not realizing that it had been “skinned” for the season. I LOATHE the skin. I hate spiders and there is a spider that you see no matter how you look at the screen. It creeps me out just looking at it. The background color is awful and depressing. I don’t like this skin at all.

I echo Moms’ thoughts.

None of it even compares to spooky slots. Still reeling from that bad choice. Spend the time on something we all want.

I have played Mahjong Escape today but didn’t use the Halloween theme tiles. I just kept to the ones I always use. As for sweet tooth having the Halloween skin, it’s still the same game with a different background. It doesn’t replace Spooky Slots for Halloween which was a completely different game and something to look forward to each year.

Well if the Grinch stole Christmas I think Pogo stole Halloween. Not the same these skins are not going to work for me. I agree MOMs

MOMS..lol w2g I totally agree & couldn’t have said it better myself!! kudos MOM..tusvm..Loretta (lol) @ MOM’S comment..

Moms #1- I couldn’t have said it better! You rock! This has been a horrible decision on Pogo’s behalf. They have ruffled a lot of feathers this year… Hopefully they will see how this has upset everyone and at least maybe come up with another Halloween game for us next year, the skins just aren’t the same!

Well…I think Toothy looks really cute with the chocolate toupee..just saying

Moms #1 LOL!
I never use any of these holiday skins. Put your efforts into something that we
do want, Pogo!

I’ve never been a fan of these new-skinned games, so I won’t use them. Don’t care for them in Bowling with turkeys & elves either. Too hard to get lined up properly.
As for the comments so far, Suz-#1, & Mrs. Mike-#11, voice my thoughts perfectly. The only treat we want is our Spooky back. I thought the Grinch stole Christmas, but I guess the Pogo Grinch has stolen Halloween from us.
Pumpkins Forever!!!!

Hmmm… The time taken to do this, which in any other year would have been nice, could have been applied to turning the switch on for Spooky Slots.
So sorry Pogo, unimpressed.
Does anyone at Pogo even care????

Just went into Poppit!Sprint and it looks the same to me. Am I missing something?

Batray #3:
I just checked out MahJong Safari and I have black cats and pumpkins, but no spiders, so there must be a way to get rid of them!
Kara says
#14 Judi There is a Halloween theme in Poppit! Sprint. Click on Menu, then click Stages and click on the Halloween box/theme. It’s nothing special. Needles is wearing a witches hat and there are black trees and small tombstones over a dark red background.

There is a way to get rid of specific tiles in Mahjong Safari
In the upper left hand corner there is a tile box. If you click on one tile in the active tray and one tile in the reserve tray they will switch places. Games only use tiles from the active tray. You can also go back and forth between two tile sets by clicking either the orange or blue button between the trays.
TomT says
Judi #14, the new Halloween theme in Poppit Sprint! is in the first stage in Classic mode. The way to change stages in that game is to choose Menu after starting a game and then selecting Stages at which point you can change your theme although you will lose your current game (and one use of any power-ups you had active).
In checking this out, though, I see that there are still 2 stages showing as “Coming Soon” which have been around for a lot longer to make the “soon” part of the page inaccurate. If Pogo can change a theme in this game than why can’t they go the extra step and add new themes/ranks in the game as well? I think it would renew interest in the game for those of us who have already ranked out and may also spur some activity in the new badges as well.

I agree with Suz completely!!! Who cares about the skins?
Judi says
Thanks Kara #16 and Tom #19. Shows how often I play Poppit Sprint…lol.
Lover #18: I went into 3 screen names and saw no spiders. I opened both trays and checked all the tiles. Again no spiders. Not that I’m complaining, it’s just that its, pardon the expression, “spooky”.

They could have put a “Halloween skin” on Ali Baba Slots. Just sayin.
sberumen5532 says
I think they are rather mundane and child like. We would all be much more happy if Pogo would, you know, fixed the games so they work properly — at least in my humble opinion. These “skins” just leave a lot to be desired.
