New: Seasonal Themes

Pogo has skinned Jungle Gin and Bingo Luau to celebrate the season!

Jungle Gin has a nice summer theme:

Watch out for the (card?) sharks!

And Bingo Luau is all decked out for the 4th of July in red, white, and blue:

For badges that require you to earn X number of bingos on a certain color card, you can still earn them during the time this theme is active! The red cards are still red, the yellow cards are now white in the middle, and the green cards are now blue on the right.

  2. I like it too, some people want to complain about anything. It has to be really bad for me to moan and groan LOL
    I even like the new homepage, it will just take a little getting used too

  5. joe #4 – Actually gems were introduced on Pogo in 2006 and there has only been 1 price increase, and that was last March. Changing the game background for holidays has been done a few times every year, and has no bearing on the cost of gems.

  6. I like the different background for Gin. I’m ranked out but will be a nice change while finishing the two badges I have.

  7. I like it when they do the seasonal themes. I hated it when they changed Gin back to the jungle…….it was so relaxing on the pier by the water. lol And celebratory themes always
    kinda’ “warm the heart”.

  8. I like the Jungle Gin background
    On the UK side last year we never had this background so is all good
    nice to see a different theme

    hopefully next Pogo will add some new ranks,seems like a lifetime since they did any!

  9. If I remember correctly, I think people complained when they changed it back to the jungle theme. I think more people liked the pier scene that they are using now. LOL

  12. Don’t mind this background at all for the summer. I would like it if they put the jungle themed background back in the winter months and this one in the warmer months.

  13. I am a Canadian but think that my American friends on Pogo will appreciate the bingo background.

  15. It is nice to have a themed game. I do get bored looking at the same backgrounds all the time. Someone is working hard at Pogo but obviously (IMO) in the wrong areas.

    • l3ear’s Mrs.: to be fair to Pogo, these themes were the exact same ones used in previous years and probably didn’t require more than a 5-minute effort on the part of any developer this year.
