Love the animated “Picture puzzle perfect badge” but its confusing lol

On the Crossword Cove Challenge badge, we are supposed to use a hint 8 times. Even though Badge Hungry supplies the answers to all clues, I strive to complete the puzzles without BH or hints, so i can receive the Hint Bonus. It is only a miniscule amount of tokens,but it seems we are losing to gain. Oh, well GL all and HAGD.

Is anybody getting credit for the Crossword Cove badge? I’ve completed three puzzles, using the hints with both “hint” and “hint”/”solve”, to no avail. I’m heading off to work now so, hopefully, this may become a known issue and resolved before I get home.

Is it just me or do the challenge seem to be getting easier. I find both these challenges very easy – in fact I don’t find the CC one a challenge at all. Also for the special badge….in the past for this type of badge you had to complete 5 challenges and now only 3. I love my badges but it would be nice if it took a bit of effort to earn them.

I could have sworn that the CC challenge for this week was going to require using more hints than 8. I activated the Crab Cakes M&M badge which requires using 201 hints. I guess I’ll be doing a lot of crossword puzzles. 🙂

I played today’s puzzle and a puzzle from 2 weeks ago that was new used all 4 hints in each game and no credit.What’s up? Please help…

Frank I’m having the same problem. I did two puzzles and used all 4 hints with each one and didn’t get credit for any of them. First one I did without answers for fun and finished it in 13 minutes but no credit… Second one I came here to get answers and finished it in 3 minutes, still no credit for using hints. I’m playing on easy mode and using the starfish hints. Am I missing something or is it just a bug?

Beau #3, There’s a trick I learned playing Kreuzwort-Insel on the German site with a non-club account which is that you can use the hint & solve as often as you want to but if you hit the Menu button after completing the puzzle to save it and then go back to the saved puzzle and click the All Done button to finish you’ll still get the 500 token bonus.
As for the “challenge” itself, I went to an already completed puzzle and pressed the Hint button and then Enter to go to the next clue and repeated that 8 times and submitted it and got the badge in less than a minute. You don’t even have to complete the puzzle to get it.
Puck’s peak looks to be more interesting as you can choose to either do the first mountain 7 times or do the harder peaks to get the badge done quicker so you can use whatever style best suits you.
famdawplayer #7, I agree only 3 challenges does seem easy for the special badge but my guess is that Pogo decided to make it a one week deadline (even though it says we have 13 days left, for some reason) so they lowered the # of challenges required so that anyone who doesn’t have any PBA or M&M badges can still earn the special badge. Still, no complaints here, really.

Okay – Crosswords: it wasn’t working for me either (Frank #6) but then reread your posting and never realized there was a hint/solve button (duh – cuz I am a BH gal dontcha know) so then I went in and did that button 8 times on the next puzzle – and voila! there was the badge in one fell swoop! And yes (Beau #3 and Sylvia #8) I just closed my eyes and made myself forget about tokens or percentages or other badges and did it…now I can go back to hard and do it any way I want for any other badge or just for fun but that one is done!!

On the CC badge, you can go back to a puzzle you’ve already done, hit “hint” 8 times – on 8 different words, then “all done’ and you get the badge. Now I can go do today’s on hard. Really dumb challenge.

hi all , i got the crossword cove , just use the hint button on one puzzle repeatly 8x for 8 different clues you will get the badge
i went to live chat for the pucks peak and told them that rooms are full and need to add rooms, i think its a pogo glitch.. he or she said pass to developement ha ha…. i told it was pogo glitch.. i then disconnected
he or she was not very helpful…

These are two short badges. There’s no reason not to do all 8 hints in one game (unless you want to play with hints, but my goal is usually not to use them). It took me about half an hour to get through the 3rd (I think — 7star one) peak 3 times. Hopefully upcoming challenges are more interesting.

hi again, i spoke live chat again, they have alerted their team and will addding more temp rooms soon . this week and next week to earn the picture puzzke perfect badge, pogo will be offered 3 badges this week and 3 badges next week , have 14 days to earn
this special badge.
i got the puck peak badge, played on the 1st peak and set it for 1000 leval, got lucky and found room to get it.. have a great day

The number of stars you get vary depending on which mountain you are doing.
The basic mountain will yield you 3 stars for 1000 meters.
The second mountain will give 5 stars for 1000 meters.
The lava mountain will give 7 stars for 1000 meters.
You only get the stars for winning so if you choose a hard level and use up all your strikes, you won’t get any progress towards your badge.
I didn’t have any problems with either badges. Both were very short this week. I guess that was to make up for last week.

11:42 AM and STILL no temp rooms for Puck’s Peak…I was in one very early at 7:15 AM but had joined via the click on a friends name way and when she left I got bumped and that was that…no getting back in. so I am a frustrated Pogoian at the moment only because, like when they “forget” to put sauce in with my nuggets, it’s YOUR JOB to be ready for your customers…I’m just saying.

sometimes I really wonder if Pogo knows anything about Customer Service. Why is it EVERY SINGLE WEEK we have to fight to get into rooms that have the weekly Challenges? I tried to get into pikes peak and had to keep looking and found all the rooms full. How hard is it for POGO to have a program that warns them when 80% of the rooms are full? Then they can create Temp rooms, this happens far too often for my taste. Pogo really needs to learn about Customer Service. I am tired of fighting this so often.

done with both was done by 11am! glad for easy badges. we get plenty of long drawn out badges! im glad for short ones. you can always select a more difficult one for personals! i like fast ones i get done and go pal around with buds goofing off!

Just a quick tip, for Puck’s Peak if you play on the Volcano level, you get 7 stars for the 1000 meters. I was able to do it with no trouble, and i’m not a frequent player of this game at all.
I gotta say, this crossword cove challenge is really lame. Use a hint 8 times? Wouldn’t an actual challenge be doing the puzzle *without* using a hint?! All you have to do is click that button on 8 separate clues, and badge complete. Well, at least it leaves us time to work on more challenging personals.

Got both in under an hour. Got the Special Ed badge about two hours later.
Puck’s Peak was easy but took almost 40 minutes. I unlocked the last Puck, today. Black Hole is awesome.

well i got the CC in one game, i guess i didn’t have to do that i could of spread it out and did one per game for a total of 8 games but decided not to. now on to pucks peak. and my two personal’s, i might get a job working 12’s here in the nest few days so i wont be on much,, bummer 🙁 but i wanna make my money lol. so i like how fast these badges are going, especially if i get this job. good luck to all and have a good rest of ur week.

Got to say, that Crossword Cove one was ridiculously easy. Oh well. Done in 3 minutes. Puck’s Peak was done in 30 min for me, not that great at it. Was doing Lava Mtn though of course there’s easier ways to get it.

I absolutely LOVE Puck’s Peak so this was a good badge week. I really think that CC should have been not to use the hint button, but a badge is a badge 🙂
I picked a long personal on Holly’s account so will be in Yahtzee a lot this week.
The worst badge this week is the iPhone badge, but it counts towards the special badge, so all is not lost.

I need help with Puck’s Peak. I have to always pass up the badge challenges for this game because I just cannot keep the blocks to stay still. I have read suggestions, game help, etc. and still can’t get the hang of it. Will someone pls. tell me how to get the blocks to stay put.

Puck’s Peak is easy.
First, use the Mountain zone.
Second, use either the Green Puck (entwine) or the Red Puck (Inferno). Their powerups come in handy.
Third, take your time. Placement is rather easy and the shapes make stability easier to achieve.
At the 1000m tower, you’ll get 3 stars for each win.

Luckysuz2 #38 – When the game screen first loads, hit “Explore” rather than “Continue”. Make sure you choose the very first mountain. It has big mostly-square blocks. I use the pink puck so that I can uplift after I get each milestone and only need a few blocks to reach the next milestone. That way, my stack is always stable. 1000 meters will earn you 3 stars, rather than just 1 for 500 meters, but you need to decide if you want to take the chance you can get all the way to the top before you lose control of the stack.
You can spin the blocks (either with the left/right arrow keys or the mouse wheel) to get them in the best orientation for what you need for your stack. If you get an L piece, you can hold onto it until you get one of the short, wide pieces. You can then turn the short, wide piece 90 degrees so it is now tall and skinny and will balance the L on top easily and sturdily. This also has the advantage of getting you closer to the goal with fewer pieces used.

i loved the crossword challenge and even thou u wont have a perfect game if u use hint on the ist 8 then type the rest of the answers in u wont lose out on too many tokies.

In Puck’s Peak, do the first mountain, as it is the easiest, gives you square pieces, all of which, can be perfectly balanced. IGNORE Pogo’s keyboard instructions — totally confusing! Use the center wheel to rotate pieces. It will place every piece in a perfectly straight position with no further “fiddling” necessary.
So — you “grab” the block by picking it up with the left button, rotate it, if necessary, to the vertical position by clicking on the mouse wheel, place it on top, perfectly in the center, of the bottom block — now to prevent the wiggle, or sometimes bouncing upon release, keep that left mouse button depressed while you move it downward to the next block, and THEN release the button. I hope this helps you.

Letter published today concerning Puck’s Peak is NOT correct. The power up star is NOT the star needed to complete this badge.
I have emailed Tahd, but wanted to post here in case anyone else reads the letter.
If you read the How to Play it will tell you that you can earn from 1 to 11 Fairy Stars a game, depending on which peak you use, and if you build to 500 or 1000 meters. The Fairy Stars are what you need to complete the badge.

Well I personally like Puck’s Peak so had fun doing that though it was done rather quickly. CC just seemed a bit redundant to me. Unfortunately I finshed all my weekly including personal badges already. Only good thing is at least I still have 2 badges from an album that was gifted to me. Good luck with these easy badges LOL.

How odd. I finished all my other challenges and altho I don’t like Crossword Cove I figured I would just wander over.
I chose saved game even tho I didn’t have one. It brought up an empty puzzle anyway, which rather surprised me. Anyway all I did was hit the hint/solve button 8 times and then finish. Up popped the badge. Took like a minute?
