August 2011 weeklies will be created from the winning submissions to the Club Pogo Badge Challenge Challenge. For those of you who have been following along, BadgeHungry reader Ed’s Canasta badge challenge was chosen as a winner and we’ve been eagerly awaiting more information. The Pogo News has recently been featuring articles on the upcoming badges and now the artwork is complete. Here’s an exclusive BadgeHungry look at the badges:
David from New Hampshire
David from New Hampshire created a Badge Challenge Challenge named “Unsinkable”. From his Club Pogo profile, it says his favorite games are MONOPOLY Slots, Word Search Daily, Tumble Bees and Mahjong Garden, but he didn’t create his challenge in any of these games! Can you guess which game this challenge will be in?
Ed from Florida
Do you know what a “natural” Canasta is? Ed from Florida hopes you do! His Badge Challenge Challenge wants you to make ‘em, and features a badge described as, “… Pogo Canasta characters in a forest scene or mountain lake scene (symbolic of “natural” Canastas).”
Becky from IL
Becky from Illinois took inspiration from one of her favorite games to suggest a very rock ‘n’ roll “Jail House Rock” badge! If you’ve got a badge featuring dancing jailbirds, what game do you think the badge is for? You may have to go around the world a few times to figure it out!
Lynn from Ohio
Lynn from Ohio loves Tri-Peaks Solitaire, Jungle Gin and Canasta, but she submitted a Badge Challenge Challenge idea for a completely different game. We hope you’ll be “Totally Addicted” to this challenge, just like we are!
Soo from West Yorkshire
We have a Badge Challenge coming all the way from West Yorkshire, UK! Soo, a retired teacher, wants to challenge your brains and get you to “queue” up for this badge! Quite the quandary, this quintessential Challenge will quicken your heart, so no quips or qualms about tackling this one! Can you guess the game?
Lynn from New Jersey
Lynn from New Jersey has given us an original Challenge, also seemingly meant to stupefy, stun, and startle you (no surprise, coming from the land of Snooki!). How quickly will you be able to complete the “S-S-S-Stingeroo” badge?
Helen from Kentucky
Helen hails from Kentucky and submitted a very genteel badge challenge she calls, “Afternoon Tea Badge.” According to her profile, her favorite games are BOGGLE Bash, TRIVIAL PURSUIT Daily 20, Sweet Tooth 2 and Tumble Bees. But this badge isn’t for any of these games. Check out her amazing sketch below and see if you can guess the game! We can’t wait to show you the finished badge, our artists were proud to take Helen’s inspiration to the next level.
Roger from Indiana
Roger from Indiana only has eyes for his badge challenge submission. Will you be mesmerized by his “Snake Eyes” badge challenge? Check out his art concept, made with the help of some free clipart, and see if you can guess the game!
Dale from California
Dale from California took us on a voyage with his concept for a “Lightning Strikes” badge! Our artists had a great time taking his beautiful sketch and transforming it into a badge masterpiece. May there be no “limit” or “end limit” to the fun you’ll have with this Badge Challenge.
Crystal from Colorado
Crystal from Colorado picked one of her favorite games to challenge her fellow Club Pogo members! Her art description is about a sleepy sheep… counting sheep! It’s a puzzling challenge, but we think you can handle it.
(Badges are watermarked with the BadgeHungry B in the upper right corner.)
