I’m enjoying this. Ranked out in Canasta long ago, and only play for weeklies since. I forgot how much I enjoy playing (against the bots, lol), so these new badges are just the ticket.
Oh, and they seem new? Not retread? There is no “classic” banner on them.
Plus, the challenges aren’t too hard — a few will take a while, but several are really easy (at least they are if you already know how to play canasta).
And, I started at rank 101, almost to 102, so yes, they did give us credit for the red 3s earned post rank 100!
All around happy making for me.

Hooray for the new album. I like that we have unclassic badges released with new ranks. Unfortunately, I stopped playing Canasta in anticipation of this album, thinking I would not auto rank. Of course, I did auto rank.
If auto rank is the only choice other than Pogo messing with my stats (like total red threes), then I guess I am okay with it. However, Pogo was able to succesfully extend Yahtzee without removing any Jackpot Spins from my total.

This is me doing my happy dance !! I am sooo happy about this album…I LOVE Canasta and Jungle Gin….sure wish they would increase ranks on JG, it is still at 50….Canasta 120…what up with that !??

You may have the room set up from the last badge for the frozen pile. I couldnt figure out this morning why I couldnt pick up the pile till I remembered I had it set up that way.

I woke up in anticipation this morning and found the album had yet to be released, so I made my coffee and sat back down only to find my dear BH friend Wheat had made sure I was one of the first kids on the block to have it!! My enthusiasm knows no bounds…see you in one of the rooms!!

I adore Canasta sooo much =) I’m having a blast right now working on this book and when my mom gets home, I get to go in there with her to help her work on hers! Plus, it’s getting me away from that awful, horrible, nasty Trivial Pursuit Mix&Match. Enjoy the book, Pogo-ites! <3

I hv a question on The Way Home Badge it says to play in 4 player room…which i always use 2 player w/ bots… is this winable in 4 player w/ bots???? thinking about getting the album, but want to make sure cause i’m learning Canasta & i like it.. Ty for any response on this!!

I love Canasta & I’m so glad they came out with this album, but I’m still debating whether I should get it or not…the challenges are a little too easy for my taste, and I’ll probably finish them all without even ranking up, lol.

not sure what pogo was thinking with this album. The challenges seem Very easy. I had the same feeling like one earlier person that wrote in and said that with the name of the album that they thought that the challenges would be more difficult. 10 red 3s, 2 natural canastas, and others can be done in less than one full game.

Most of these look pretty easy so even though canasta is not my favorite game I will probably get it. Though that 4 player game one is daunting to me since I have always played 2 player, but that’s only 1 out of all of them.

For the badge you do play in the four-player room. You can play against the bots — will be given a bot partner — by selecting your room, and making it private. You can set the options to play the way you like the best. If you have a particular friend/friends you want to play with you, set the password (and of course give it to them, lol).

Purchased the album about 7 hours ago and I’m almost done badge #8, so will complete the album either tonight or tomorrow. I made it to rank 49, but will still have a long way to rank 50 once the album is completed.
But at least I have some new badges to redo while getting to rank 50. It’s all downhill from there….LOL
I agree that the challenges should have been longer considering what they named the album.

bought, completed and dissapointed. played all badges in 4 player rooms with the mrs except for the one two player badge. just over 7 hrs to complete, one rank up and a total of 178 threes gained.
oh well its another eleven badges to the collection

I love having badge albums that are only for one game since I cant play any flash games but I noticed that the tokens you win are pretty small considering how hard it is to win some of these games and also the price we pay for the badges. Although tokens do not mean very much anymore it is nice to watch your hard work rewarded by the token amount. Also, My heavens,I will never live long enough to rank out of these games and when I do you add more ranks!! TY for all the fun pogo has given me! Oh and yes, the game freezes up all the time and the bot can pick up the pile but I cant. would really like 2 know why.

I just watched the little ‘mini movie’ on these badges and have to say it’s cool that a few of these contestants are playing Pogo’s canasta on tablet devices. (Sweet invitation badge, for example)
Maybe Pogo likes the idea that we can play their games on tablets and hopefully in the future we won’t need the Splashtop remote to play them. 🙂
