wow, I love this game — hate the waiting on new episodes tho lol I have a question,, having looked at October’s Mix/Matches I plan on buying the clue one for sure! Now: it says 2 JPS’ — am I really “clue-less” LOL Am I to save one of this month’s episodes so when Oct’s episode comes out I can get the mix/match badge done? TYVM for anyone’s help 🙂 BTW,,, If it were not for this great site and all the nice people, I would have missed out on A LOT of badges = BH rocks! Just purchased the new Clue episode, but noticed something interesting: It said other things you may like, and had what appeared to be an upcoming episode in Zurich. Of course I clicked on it, and it said that it was no longer available for sale… did this happy to anyone else?

Debbie #6 – You can always redo an episode for the JP spin, but won’t get as many tokens I’m told. OR you can do any episode on the UK side of Pogo and you will get full tokens the first time you do it there.

Suz #4 – Shoot, do you know WHY you cannot gift a Clue episode? It makes no sense to me. I am not a Clue fan and don’t want to gift or receive any episodes, but isn’t it to the benefit of Pogo to allow members to gift episodes? Isn’t that the type of business decision they normally make?
Laura #11 – Sorry to hear your eyes make Clue so difficult. There are some aspects of Clue, mostly color issues, that I can’t see even after I see it in hint and know where it is; and there are some other games that I have stayed away from because they are so difficult for me to play/enjoy. I have not played Clue a lot, but when I did I noticed that the “hint” thingie refilled rather quickly in relation to having 60 minutes to play. Possibly if you can rely on the hints more you might find it less stressful on your eyes.
It may well be possible for you to use the hints to help you more than before. There will always be items that you find and others you remember from having played a city. But why fret over trying to find 10 items if you really only need to find 2 or 3? Instead of trying to find all the items you can just relax and enjoy the painting 🙂
Further on Clue – Considering the hint button and how few items have to be found in each city, I wondered if I could win a game playing hints ONLY – not clicking on any item on my own, only waiting for hint thingie to fill up and using it on every single item. My intent has been to try that the next time I have cause to play the game, which is not now. I was figuring on completing the cities this way and continuing with the ‘difference’ round this way as well – to see how far I can go. All the way? Perhaps someone reading this will try this idea =) and post the results here. That would be friggin’ awesome.

Not sure if it’s only me but I can’t do the episodes in the UK side anymore, I mean I can but I don’t get full tokens, when I enter the game they say Completed when it use to say Play , if i try to play I get this message saying I have already completed the case and I will only get 1/10 of tokens for playing again.
This happened when I tried to redo Acropolis Now episode, so I thought maybe they changed and we couldn’t redo them anymore on both sides, and it just happened now with the new episode Undercover….part 1, I finished it in the US side and went right away to the UK side and well, it says completed and I get the message I just mentioned. Yeah, I’m sure I’m in the UK side because it says UK next to the Pogo logo and Cluedo, and yes I’m sure I didnt do it already in the UK because is the new episode. So yes, im totally clueless.

I just did both of these back-to-back and got the badges plus a M&M I purchased with the last sale. Lord, my eyes!!!
I have to give Pogo credit on the new episodes. They’re becoming more difficult and the folks at Pogo are actually incorporating the items more into the background. A few items were either adorning other items (not like a cue stick on a pillar) and blended in perfectly. Nice challenges.

MomsB. #8 I went to the UK site to do the same episode I just finished on the US site and it told me I had already done it and I would only earn 1/10 the tokens if I did it again so it looks like it doesn’t matter which site you do the episode on, the other one ‘knows’…lol.

It seems Pogo “fixed” it so you don’t get the full tokens on both US and UK sites. I only got them once and the reduced tokens the second time. Is this what everyone else is seeing?

Hello everyone…I’d like to help, if I may, the Clue badge CAN be gifted — go to badges, the drop down (at the top) pick your game, Clue, when it pulls up all the clue badges underneath the ‘add to cart’ is the button ‘give gift’.
The one reason I know this is someone gifted me one as a birthday present, have a great day all. *waving*

sog #15 – Prior to reading the rest of the comments I would have said that Pogo won’t let you gift Clue episodes b/c it is called something different on the UK site and they don’t let us gift anything that is not available outside the US. But since they are no longer allowing full tokens when you do it on the UK site then they are saying it is the same game, so should be able to gift it.
Different name / Different game was the only reason I could ever think of for not being able to gift the Clue episodes.
Now I have no clue….LOL

That’s one reason I refuse to purchase any episodes as I believe it is going to be a trend for future games and little by little we are getting less and less.

Everyone knows that I buy the episodes, so you know how I feel about episodes versus downloadable. But here is why I prefer the episodes…
Downloadable – $20
You probably would get about 15 challenges, and no badge. There are only a few games that give mini outfits and badges. A person needs to be able to spend $20 at one time AND have a computer that is capable of handling a download that size…and it would be BIG. There would never be any weekly or premium badges for this game. And IF you purchased it how often would you play it? I have a hidden object game on my computer that I loved, but once I finished the 14 dives and opened the safe the game was over. I haven’t played it since, and probably won’t play it very often, or ever.
Episodes – $20 for 350 gems – 17 episodes
First of all there are FREE episodes in addition to the ones for purchase so everyone can participate in the game and the weekly badges without having to purchase anything else.
If you want to purchase the additional episodes they cost $1.18 each.
I am using full cost on everything, not taking sales into consideration.
You get a badge with each episode that you purchase and get a NEW episode every month. It will take 18 months of episodes to match the cost of purchasing a downloadable game….and you will still be playing it every month if you choose. And you will continue to get new cities and new cases. And you don’t have to worry about downloading anything on your computer.
Having it as a regular Pogo game gives everyone the chance to play it and do the weekly and premium badges, if they want to.
It all comes down to choices. Everyone is free to do as much or as little as they choose to do.

Very good point, Suz, since I am a badge hound I get all episodes anyway. But your breakdown shows it’s not that bad of a deal for the Clue episodes and the badges are actually pretty cool, especially the latest skull one : ).

I’m throwing my two cents in the bucket just because I wanna (lol) but I love this game. Granted I’m disappointed it costs gems, but I don’t mind waiting on the bones they throw us cheap-o’s (i.e. the free episodes). I have always enjoyed seek ‘n find style games so I’m thrilled they released Clue. Not to mention I get a badge for each episode I complete.
So… thank you Pogo for the release and even though it costs gems, I’m STILL a happy camper with this game!

hmm, need some help please-on purchasing Clue as gift—I have 2 accounts–one, my primary account, I keep gems in and my credit info connected. The other account is a family account for my 3 kids and their 6 grands and I took all the credit off of it as they spent the gems like water, rather than money. They can ask me for a gem gift and I buy it in my account and gift it to them. They have the free Clue, but, I really would like to gift some of the gem Clue to them. i have looked and looked at this. All my clue episodes say that they are already owned–but I cannot figure out the gifting part. Would appreciate help in finding this, please.

To clarify something…you can gift clue badges but cant gift clue episodes. Yes they are 2 separate animals…badges are purchased in pogo badges like all others and episodes are purchased in clue store. I asked pogo about that they said they are working on gifting episodes.. whatever that means…lol

Okay, now I am thoroughly confused–okay, let me ask one more question–can I figure out exactly how many gems i need in 2nd account, buy closest package, spend most of them, and THEN remove financial info from account???? Not as worried about the gems as to leaving financial info with my kids and grands there…my 11 and 9 year old granddaughters bought a 1.5 million token wardrobe for a mini at one time–tokens are okay, gems are not in my book..LOL

Moms #26 – Suz, you make a very compelling case for purchasing Clue episodes vs Downloadable games. And, obviously, you are right that everyone can choose what they wish to pay extra for.
But, I still don’t think that it was right for Pogo to do this in the first place. Even though the Clue episodes are very affordable compared to almost ANYTHING let alone the Downloadable games, it is still – IMO – chipping away from our original “contract” as Club Pogo members.
Sure, it is nice that we as Club members still get some episodes free. Thanks, Pogo. But we are not getting as many new games as we have in the past (free or Club-exclusive) and now there are extras to buy if you want all the badges? Still think it is not fair or right — and I do think it is a legitimate worry that Pogo will decide to do it with more & more games.
The Mini Mall was a Club benefit – then they added gem items (extra cost). Then special mini items became available only from purchasing Downloadable games (extra cost). Then they made the Mini Mall available to everyone, reserving a few “Club-only” items for a membership perk? Gee, thanks. People may not mind that Pogo is doing this, they may believe that Pogo is still an unbelievably affordable entertainment option. But believing those things doesn’t change the fact that it IS a dilution of the original agreement; we are getting less for our membership dollars.

We all do what we want to do for a badge or a mini item. I have no problem paying $1.18 for a Clue episode and a badge. But I will NOT do Facebook for the mini items. Do I think that it’s fair that people playing on FB get over 50 mini items, some of them animated, for free b/c they play on FB?? No, I don’t. Is it enough for me to leave Club Pogo? No, it’s not. Will I eventually cave in and do FB just for the mini awards?? I honestly can’t say or bet my life on it, but I won’t do it with a smile on my face.

Suz, I think we basically feel the same way about this whole thang – we buy what we want to buy. I’m not happy with the FB special items either – ESPECIALLY the animated ones, which WE were told had to be outside our Club membership benefits since it was “new” and probably cost Pogo way more money to produce. Ha! I won’t be doing that. I won’t be buying the Clue episodes (even though I recognize that $1.18 is ridiculously cheap lol). $1.18 is still more than these games were supposed to be costing me because…… I already pay. That is the only thing I’m trying to say.
No one is forcing anyone…..but my understanding of the Club when it first came out was that I was getting all these things with my membership, not that I would have to pay more down the road for things I had ever reason to believe were going to stay membership benefits or perks.

I have done all episodes avail and without using clue, to use clue would take away the challenge that game was intended for.
also my fastest time so far is 14 min 35 sec to complete without any clues.

now on to see if maybe i can give ya a lil help lol, these clue episodes, i LOVE em but they dont love my eyes, and i dont know what kinda mouse you have but i have a microsoft mouse that i bought resently @ wal-mart that has a maginifer built and made in it, and you can set it to be any button you want on the mouse, mine has the right/left button and the wheel to scroll and another button or 2 i think but those are the only ones i use and i set my maginifer to be the scroll button but only when you push it down and you push it down again to take maginifer off, BUT it was the best 20.00 i have spent in LONG time, it helps me so much in clue, like you said when the circle gets all blue and i still cant see the object i click on that magnifer and always find it so that may be something that would HELP you… i love my new mouse and its compatiable with everything, heck its even wireless and uses a AA battery that has not needed changing yet and i have had it almost 6 months, mine is microsoft mobile wireless3000, but they have come out with some newer ones but all i have seen are 20.00 to 24.00 and well worth every cent, its been a life saver in clue as well as reading mini captions and other games and even some print in letters to editor, i use it LOTS, lol that magnifier on the mouse is and i did say is “ALMOST” as good as moms and sliced bread lol, hey @ wal-mart the lady told me “if you buy it try it and dont like it, heck just save ur recipte and bring it back (have to keep box) and get ur money back if ya dont like it, told me just save the box and all paper till i decided and that i had 30 days to bring it back, but i fell in “LOVE” the 1st day…so gl and hope this helps you hun!!! beth

I do the surveys for Peanut Labs specifically for CLUE episodes… I’ve stopped buying PBA’s and M&M’s and I don’t use gems for Mini items or expressions. I’m up over 400 gems now. I tend to see the same surveys over and over and after a while, so if you qualify for one, you can repeat the same answers later and get more gems. If you want gems on a second account and don’t want to pay for them, I would suggest trying the surveys on that account during some downtime or during a game where you have some wait time – like YAHTZEE, Golf Solitaire, Poppa Zoppa, or your load times in CLUE!

hi i finally finished the clues game , i started the free 1 part 1 well in sydney i got donw to 1 eucalylus coudnt fine it so i went in to mexican my clue was blue for trying to find the advcado and couldnt fined that either ,i went in again to sydney and got to 1 gain cash register i dont see anything that looks like it even clue finder didnt, is there suppose to be a chat in this game,everytime i go in at least1 i cant fine ,moms any suggestions if any1 would no it would be you sorry to keep posting put any tips would be great even though every 1 is a little diff , maybe i try bingnolars lol while i wait for my m mouse had a good nite and ty
