Here we are again the first of the month and new mix n match badges are out, as usual i shall get them all. theres just 1 im not sure about, thats the vaults of atlantis, get 3 gold coins 18x in 10 days, if i remember correctly, 3 gold coins dont come in that often, in normal gameplay. think i will leave that one to last.

Nice batch of badges here and some that look really nice. Only a couple that may take a while, Vaults of Atlantis Slots and Keno Pop! Am doing Keno Pop! now and have 4/8 but that has taken a couple of hours, seems the red balls have gone into hiding LOL
For Squelchies, what I normally do is try and get a few groups of squelchies 1 away from being cleared, usually 3 or 4 groups, then work fast to try and clear them all quickly for the combo bonus. Not really sure how large the group needs to be to earn the bonus that way, may play around with that when I do the badge, unless someone else here has the answer.

pogo it seems is officially color blind. on the vaukts of atlantin badge its 3 of the RED coins you need not gold as it says on challenge. oh, and yes the wilds count too

Alan – Why does is matter when you activate the badge? The most you would have to do is 12 puzzles and you have 10 days.
And the Word Whomp badge has been changed to 8 JP carrots, not 18.

Re: Atlantis. So you’re saying you need three of the pennies to line up, not the gold Jackpot coins? Because it sounds like they mean the Jackpot coins, which as Alan #5 says, surely do not come up very often. If it’s pennies that count, though, that shouldn’t be difficult.

I bought some badges for games I’m trying to rank up in. I like the Squelchies, but seemed to take me forever to get 88 combos. When I win they say “that’s not funny” and I have to laugh. I’m so easily amused. LOL Never thought I would learn to speak another language.

It is not the jackpot coins that you need for the badge. The Atlantis badge was 1 of the easier ones.
The Keno Pop is the long one, need to be double lucky….get the red ball and then get it to drop in 1 of your numbers. It took me 166 games to get the first one 🙂

Re: Squelchies, Sandi (comment 2), 2x combos will not count. It would have to be 3x or higher. However, if you notice prior to that part of the badge description, it states you can make large groups as well for progress toward that badge.

When oh when am I going to learn to read before I buy M&M, especially when trying to complete an album this week. Just saw Squelchies, didn’t read, oh my what have I done! I also clicked wrong and have a cribbage one????? Don’t have a clue in the world what it is or how to play.
I have to stop having “senior moments”. Kids are coming tomorrow so not much pogo for me this week but the fun with them will help withdrawal. Have a great week everyone

Just done Squelchies and was easier than I thought. Usually I play on Hard but was only managing a few per game so switched to easy and was getting at least 10 per game. Quick tip, you only need to match 3 squelchies on easy to clear them, what I did was to get 3 different colours set with a pair, make sure I had another 1 for each colour in an easy to get to spot, normally next to each other, then just move the 3 pairs and get a 3x combo, just keep doing that and you end up getting quite a few toward the badge each game.
Overall this is a really nice batch with some nice looking badges in it, have 3 left to do to finish them all but keep being drawn back to Balloon Bounce LOL

mspatmac (16) A brief shudder of ‘Oh, nooooo!’ from me when I read your first lines. For me, that’s a nightmare especially when 1 or 2 more badges would complete the album and I was counting on it. It’s happened to me several times, and now I’m so compulsive, obsessive about what goes in those books and when. If a badge is hard or too long and I’m not sure I can even do it, it has to be one of the first 2 or 3 in an album otherwise it doesn’t get bought. LOL Anyway, sorry it happened to you, but happy you’re seeing family.

Does anyone have any tips on how to “unfreeze” the floating game pieces in Monopoly? The game goes fine for about 5 minutes, then starts freezing?? Is it me or pogo?

That happened to me every time until I read a tip here some time back: game
might freeze if you automatically “reject” a bot offer. I was doing that, soon game froze. You have to click “review offer” and THEN reject it. Always in a hurry and most-times impatient (just a few traits of mine LOL), I never gave the poor bot time to plead his case. Try that and GL.

Just as a reminder for those that may be new to this site, as usual with Pogo mix and matches, a good portion of them are also in games that will soon be upcoming weekly challenges or in games in badge albums. So it’s a great way to get 2/fers or 3/fers at one time if the mix and match is combined and activated along with weekly or album challenges.
Lura always has a category to the right of this column for Upcoming Weekly Challenges that I find very useful when planning my purchases and playing time.

Is it just me (because I’m the Tokie Queen?) or does it seem that Pogo has gotten VERY cheap these days on the M&Ms with only giving 2K on almost ALL the badges lately???
Just take a look at some of THE hardest badges and WHAT do they pay??? 2K?? Of course the BRAND GAME, what does it pay?? 3K of course!! LOL
I’m a bit tired of paying my hard earned or paid-for-gems and only getting 2K with the badges!! 🙁 Kinda makes me mad to work SO HARD to earn the badge and get a measly amount!! Do I sound greedy?? Do I sound like the Tokie Queen I am?? lol

Personally, I want MORE tokies for a HARD badge!! MORE!!…..than a measly 2K!!!

l have to disagree with Kat F #24.
once you get a m n m badge its yours, and you can replay that badge as many times as you like, ok the token prize at the end gets less each time you play it, but, think of all the fun you can have doing your favourites again, not to mention the tokens you earn by playing again.
you dont get to win the badge again, but you do get a little x2 or x19 etc in your profile. badges.
if im attempting to rank up in a game, i generally activate an old badge, it gets me a bonus at the end and keeps my interest, plus its always good to have a bit on the side lol

on the dice city roller badge….if you go to “no auction” game, it goes much faster and you get the 5’s much more often. This is the first time I’ve ever used no auction and it’s really not bad….just harder to get 800 pts but easier and less time comsuming for the badge! I was agreeing with Kat, the longer badges deserved more tokens. I was surprised that the tokens were as low as they were. That Keno Pop badge drove me crazy (or crazier).
And I’m a token hog just like Kat. That’s why Holly got her own account, so I didn’t have to spend my tokens in the mini mall….LOL
I got her membership with coke rewards, so didn’t cost me a cent.
And I got over 300,000 tokens the first day with all the free token offers. And I want you to know that I’ve spent Holly’s tokens well, as many as I can, as often as I can….and haven’t touched mine 🙂
I agree that this month’s badges should have rewarded us with more tokens for the first time!!! Sorry if my original post didn’t sound that way.

Well, I think 2000k tokens is low…until I reativate one of the very old badges for a measley 800 or so…
I don’t usually do this, but I saved a squelchies MnM to play with the weekly. I also had PBA mahjong badge for 200 flower matches that I saved and will do with a weekly challenge replay. I looked at all the weeklies (mine are all completed) and found one looking for 60 flower matches, so my mahjong has 140/200 completed and ready. This is after I did a MnM for earning 3000 tokens in the majority of the game..And, since this is the last of the PBAs in the book, will get the bonus badge as well. Try to maximize tokens and minimize effort.
Lagged behind on that PBA enjoying blowing up those balloons…enjoyed talking with Mspatmac and encouraging others still bellyaching about the unmentionable game to find game tips and help on BH. Found a few converts who went and looked at the site and said they would be happy to join the BH site.

Yes, I know I can re-activate the M&M’s but another point too, was it’s sometimes some of THE HARDEST badges that make me NOT want to. So I PAY to play them once and I’m miserable the whole time? Because they only paid a measly 2K to begin with, I’m gonna do it ALL again for a doubly measly 1K???? No, don’t think so. lol Yeah, I know I don’t have to buy the badge, so that’s why I choose NOT to most of the time. 🙂 Why doesn’t Pogo see this? Big question!! If we HAVE to PAY, why not reward MORE tokies?? HUH??
That was my biggest complaint. It’s no skin off Pogo’s teeth to pay out tokies, right? They do the free tokens stuff when they can get them straight, right? hahahaha So why be so CHEAP when we are PAYING for them?? Good question, HUH??

Now I see why many were not enjoying the keno MnM. You have the numbers picked. Then the red ball comes up from time-to-time. Then the red ball has to, against all odds, land in one of your picked numbers..One hour and only two have done so. Guess it will take awhile. I don’t mind when I am playing a game and I can predict it will take quite awhile. I must not be crazy about games based on lick, rather than skill.

Just finished the badge. This week i have time limit to do it so thats why im a lil late to complete all of it. Time limit means i have to sleep in time not overwork. Dunno abt next week. Anyway here’s my strategy from the easiest one to hardest :
Boggle Bash : no strategy
Mahjong Garden : Agree the easiest one is reach the 12th tile and before finish it activate the challenge. But its not ridiculously hard. Done on easy without problem
High Stakes Pool : Double browse method. Make 2nd account always lose. Since its 8 ball game, after you set up which player do low or high ball, make 2nd account put the Ball 8 (The black ball) in the hole early to make win condition early instead of scoring all ball
Perfect Pair Solitaire : Strategize how many steps you have to take to reach port each game
Pop Fu : done on normal
Stack Em : Done on easy
Vaults Slot : No strategy
Word Whack : Done on easy
Monopoly : Double browse. Cooperate with your 2nd account. After each buy on property, my 1st account(main account) buy it for 50% off. That way you will get property more than the AI. Can be done at least 5 game
Squelchies : Make combo more than 2. Done on normal
Keno Pop : During my research, red ball always drop on the edge of board. So i put the number : 4 on high edge left (11 to 3 number down), and 4 on edge right (80 and 3 number above). The rest is random. And it worked perfectly. Done on 2 hours
Dice Roller : Focus on “Of a Kind” card. Just focus on that. I don’t focus on scoring, so it run smoothly. Should be done on 18 games and 5 hours playing

Well, I just finished all of the mix and match badges, here’s my tips listed from hardest or most time consuming to least:
1) Dice City Roller, play in a no auction room and only focus on that ‘of a kind’ pile. If you play in a room by yourself, you’ll also always get a JP spin at the end (even if your total is under 800 points). This took me 21 games, so at ~7 minutes a game, it was somewhere in the 2-3 hour range.
2) Keno Pop – the badge I was dreading the most as it relies totally on luck, but somehow I got luck and won the badge in just over an hour. I could easily see it taking a lot longer for some people though.
3) Monopoly – double browse and play in a custom room with no time limit (and unlimited hotels) and play 2 player, trade all the property to the account that you want to get the badge. Then once that player owns all (or most) of the properties, just keep clicking ‘roll’ and ‘end turn.’ When you’re ready to finish, build hotels and/or houses (if you didn’t select unlimited hotels) on your properties and the other player will go bankrupt very shortly. This took about an hour.
4) Squelchies – play on easy, you need at least 3 matches in a row. I would line up 2 blue, 2 yellow and 2 red squelchies on the right side of the screen with another blue, yellow and red on the left side of the screen. Then quickly click and move those singles to the doubles, on easy, it was possible to get around 8 – 12 combos per game. This badge took just under an hour.
5) High Stakes Pool – no strategy. If your opponent sinks the 8 ball in a pocket s/he didn’t call, you win. That was a nice gift I got on 2 of the games. This badge took about 40 minutes.
6) Perfect Pair – you have to land exactly on the sqaure marked with the star so look at the board and count how many spaces you need to get there. If you need 5 spaces, then you need to finish the game with 5 hearts filled. Pop perfect matches and King cards when you have 1/4, 2/4, or 3/4 of a heart filled if you need to decrease the total amount of hearts you are going to get from the game. This one also took about 40 minutes.
7) Mahjong Garden – you have to play up to 12 puzzles depending where you are in your dragon’s birthday progress. I find playing with the geometric tile set allows for me to see the available matches the easiest. This one took about 35 minutes.
8) Vaults of Atlantis – again, you need 3 RED coins (or more) to get credit. The wilds count as do if you get 3 red coins on more than one row (due to wilds) it will count TWICE towards the badge. This one took about 30 minutes.
9) Stack ’em – play on the easiest level – should took approximately 3-4 minutes per game. This badge took about 30 minutes.
10) Word Whomp Whackdown – the words you find are always arranged alphabetically on the right side, so use that information to your advantage when trying to find additional words. Or use a website like wineverygame.com if you’re not fond of word games. This one took around 20 minutes.
11) Pop Fu – I got lucky and won a 500 token JP spin after my 2nd game so it only took 3 games total to get the badge. This one took about 10 minutes. Might be longer for those with smaller JP spin amounts.
12) Boggle – use a boggle solver website, I got 74 4-letter words on the first round, then easily finished the badge on the 2nd round. This one took under 10 minutes.
As for the whole token discussion going on, I agree that some of these token amounts are tiny. I personally don’t care about tokens (I’ve been playing pogo on and off since 2002 and have less than 10 million tokens which is nothing compared to a lot of people), but I have no problem with people complaining about them. I also like games that have poor token payouts – tumble bees, poppazoppa, etc.

Did anyone else notice that Pogo REDUCED the token payout for the Pop Fu Badge?? It’s NOW ONLY 2K 🙁 That’s awful!! Terrible!! How can they do that??

I sure hope anyone who bought and won the badge BEFORE they changed it got their 3K, because it NOW says it only pays the lower amount….I just came from Badge Central looking for another M&M, got distracted by THAT badge and thought to myself “OH NOOOO!!!” They did NOT DO THAT!!! But looks like they did!!
So, what do you all think about that? I don’t much like it myself. It’s got the same name as the one above so surely it’s the same badge, right? Sure hope it’s a misprint in Badge Central. Hope, hope, hope so!! Please tell me I’m wrong…please?
