After some minor technical problems this morning, Pogo has released Flower Daze! This game has five rank badges and three in-game special badges, you can view them here. There are also 3 in-game mini awards to be won. If you run into trouble, don’t forget to read the How to Play!
As you’re checking out the game, please feel free to come back and leave a comment here with your initial impressions and some hints or tips you may pick up for your fellow Pogo fans.

I was a beta-tester for Flower Daze, and I enjoyed the game! The graphics are fun, but it had more bugs than any of the other games that I tested. One of the power-ups, which was my fave, was removed at the end of the testing period. Then another was added which I did not like at all. I’ll be anxious to see the end product. I’ll definitely keep an eye on comments to hear what everyone is experiencing!
Brian says
Unga munga me not understand game please provide screen shots for help
Tammy says
I don’t get the game either!
Paige says
After a few tries, the game it pretty easy. I can finish just about everyone. Dont think this is a game I’ll be playing much. I want the mini awards items so I’ll play till I get them and thats it. Currently at rank 3. The colors of all the flowers makes it hard on my eyes after awhile. A lot of people in the chat area of the game seemed to be having problems with the game (couldnt get it to load/dont understand it).
Mia says
Hmm.. I’m looking all over pogo’s site for Flower Daze and I can’t find it!.. I tried reloading the page.. starting a new browser and everything.. Hopefully I can play soon.. sounds fun!!
Lura says
Mia: there’s a link in my post up there. ^^ On release days, you can usually get to the games either via a link I provide or you can go to Edit My Favorites, add it, and then play from your Favorites list. Usually, new games appear on the main list of games within a few hours or days or a few weeks. Pogo does this so that the release is “limited” a little just in case something goes wrong.
Chelle says
I like it! I’m not a huge fan of the graphics, to be honest (I just feel like it’s too busy), but I can definitely appreciate them and see how much fun it must have been to create the game. Gameplay is good though…I’m having a lot of fun playing and I know this will be another game that makes me want to never leave the house.
Nearly everyone in the room I’m in is totally confused as to how the game is played (even after reading directions). I have a bit of an advantage because it’s almost exactly like a game I play on my phone. So I just jumped right in without any trouble at all. I tried to find an online version of the one I play on my computer because it’s a lot simpler and I found it quite easy to understand, but I couldn’t find it anywhere :[
Debra says
Deja vu to my youth – guess I’m showing my age!! Makes me want to look for my old record albums. Pretty colors – feels like summer – which is nice with all the white stuff outside.
Can see how this could become pretty boring after a while (unless I’m missing something obvious). But will definitely give it a chance.
P.S. I found the game by looking at the alphabetical listing of games.
Pat says
well, havent even read the instructions yet, was looking at the badge page—You need to “Covert 100,000 flowers”–lol, does this mean hiding em??? Or did they mean “Convert” which means causing a change??? Hmmm, if this is any indication….back to the rules…
Tailte says
I’m very disappointed with how small the flowers get when you go from easy to medium. They were so small I had a really hard time trying to tell what colors the flowers were and I just gave up and went back to easy. I am enjoying the game, but would have liked to play on more difficult levels. I should note that my eyesight is fine, I have never needed glasses, so I think this does not bode well for people who do have eyesight problems.
That said, the game is fun and I’m enjoying it.
Mia says
TY Lura.. After making that post I went to the mini awards and got to it that way.. I was thinking something was wrong with my computer.. but Ty I did not know that it took them a few days for it to appear.. if it wasn’t for BH I would have never got to play it! anyways at first the game was confusing.. but after playing for a little bit I got the hang of it.. It’s a new twist to a puzzle game.. So far I’m liking it!! I agree the graphics are nice but it is a busy picture.. also I have only gotten 2 power ups.. the one that changes color and the one that you can add a move too.. anyone know what the 3rd power up is?
Sandy says
Awesome game. I didn’t have any trouble figuring it out, even without reading the instructions. There’s one power up I’ll probably never use — looks like a rainbow rocket — and like World Class Solitaire’s “peek” function, I don’t see its advantage.
Jenn M says
The game is definitely interesting. After a few tries I got the hang of it … I’m an 80s baby, so WHOA COLOURS! It’s very cute though!
I might not play this all the time, but I’ll break from ranking out in Monopoly slots to try this out.
suntansinabikini says
Help, I set my screen resolution to 1024×768 and my screen went black. Wouldnt come bk up. Almost had a heart attack. Finally I just unpluggged pc for while then it came bk on butnow Im afraid to redo it.
Trish says
Jst tried it a couple times. Freeze, freeze, freeze….on the powerups and consequently the game. Even opening a new game didnt help. Guess Im a jstreleasednewpogogamestatistic!!! lol
Going to keep coming back here to see if there are any fixes or tips on HOW TO. Until then….ENJOY!!!
Hope all is well with you and the little man, Lura!!!
Sandy says
It takes a while to get it. I put my cursor on each color by the main flower and see how far I can get. Then I pick the color that gets me farthest in the pattern. I hope that this helps. I win most games but not all. Good luck
Lura says
Weve got two different Sandys posting here — would one of you please consider using a different name to post here so people can tell you apart? Thanks!
Pat says
I can get the powerup that adds one to number of tries in color clicked on. The other (rainbow striped) I dont see what it is doing or any change in the puzzle. If someone understands the power-ups, how to use, and what effect they should have, please advise…
Sal says
The rainbow striped power-up changes the color of one color of flowers to the current flower color. For example if the flowers are green and you click yellow, the yellow flowers will turn green. Note: You still have to click green again to open these flowers. In this example, you might want to use the other power-up to get an extra green.
It took me 2 or 3 games to figure out how to win but looks like a fun game.
evanka11 says
i really like it — the powerups totally help too!
it makes me want to go watch laugh-in or hr pufnstuf! lol!
karen says
i like the new game am on rank 3 and got my first mini but a little hard on the eyes after a bit. got the hang of it after a game or two. love this site. ty for having it lura
booboo says
I think this is very easy yet boring. I started on easy, now am playing on hard and with the unlimited undos, no reason to lose a game. The idea is to look at what colors are lurking on the outside of the puzzle and make sure if they are loners, save that color, work your way backwards towards the center. You cant just start clicking or you will lose. There is a strategy but its not a hard one IMO. Also the badges are just the ugliest things Ive seen (not as good as risk ones) but I have 2000 others to pick from lol.
Gecko says
For suntansinabikini : all changes to your resolution will have a waiting period where your computer will ask you if you want to keep your new settings. If you dont click YES in that time frame it will go back to your previous settings, basically assuming you cant see the dialog box – which is what happened to you. Dont unplug everything as you could cause it to save the new settings. Hopefully no problems this time, but you might want to check out to see if your computer can handle the resolution first. (All computers less than 10 years old should be able to do that resolution though.)
I guess Im the odd ball on this one. I dont get why it is fun. I played through to get a jps and I think Im done. I do think it will be near impossible to play on my smaller laptop screen – which is a real shame on Pogo as more and more people use laptops as their primary computers. Well, this is one game that is not for me, hopefully there wont be too many weekly badges for it! (Sorry to those that enjoy it!) Oh, I should report I had zero problems running it in Firefox.
lynn says
another stupid game from pogo
LSWhite says
I played it but I didnt like it as much as the oldies. I know…everyone here seems to like it. (Dont throw anything at me please) I guess I have been here so long that I like the more well-known games and the oldies. I also like a good challenge but I just didnt get that challenge with this game. It is a nice game, very well done..kudos to the game guys !!!! I like a game that makes me think about it…a lot…and makes me work for a win….
Karen says
It took me a while to catch on (directions are for boys!) but once I did I realized the game is a little on the goofy side, like Harvest Mania.
Then I looked at the theme and I realized, Oh, it helps if youre totally stoned!
Since Im a few decades past that stoned, hippie stage, I continued to play an hour or so without being stoned. I ended up a little bored. Winning a new badge every 15 minutes or so would have helped.
Looks to me like this game will be one I only play when theres a badge up for grabs, like with Quick Quack.
Hera says
I really dont care for this game. Its a liitle hard to understand at first. Once I understood it, It just got worse from there. I wont play it much.
Shelly says
I just wanted to thank you all for the comments and ask you to keep them coming…..lol
I have only got as far as adding the game to my fav list, havent actually tried playing it yet.
Im usually ok with playing a game the day it comes out….Im not one of those who loses stats/progress but the delay in getting it out this morning has made me nervous…lol
Rick says
Read the How to Play but doesnt discuss whether or not all the puzzles are solvable. I have had a bunch of puzzles that dont seem to have enough colors. The power-ups should be optional, but even when I do use them, and undo over and over, some puzzles dont seem to have a solution. Does anyone else have that problem, or can I just not see enough moves ahead?
sandy z says
its merely ok in my opinion….. something different to play once in a while. doesnt interest me enough to seriously plan to rank out anytime soon. I have only tried easy and medium, but when I switched up to medium I found it easier than easy …. go figure. So anyone who is not trying medium because they think easy isnt easy, give it a try.
I find it curious the how to play says win 4 games for a spin, yet you have to spell LOVE and the heart ….. my math says thats 5 games.
Lousy, lousy tokens for time spent as well. Sigh…..
Ash says
Mia #11 there are only 2 power ups. There are 3 different possible score multipliers.
I like the game so far. Im rank 1 playing on easy. The colors are a bit much though.
ratpeople_ says
I played it a little while. It was boring I thought. Maybe I need to experiment around with the powerups. I am a game award addict and not sure this is one game I want to go after.
sirb says
#11 mia— i copy pasted this help it helps most; plus my own info towards bottom of this
Underneath 3 flowers in every game are special unlocks. These flowers can be found by looking for the rippling animation that emanates from them. Opening these flowers will unlock either a score multiplier or a power-up. Score multipliers will increase your score of all future moves that game while power-ups will appear in the power-up fireworks box and can be activated at your discretion. For more on the multipliers and how to use the power-ups see the Score Multipliers, Power-Ups, and UNDO. the undo really helps out …lol
i dont care for it that much so ill play for awhile then give up on it till it becomes a chall. then hope i can remember how too play again …really hard on eyes on level hard ..but thats where ive won most of my games on. again 3rd power up is the multipier. i think id rather it be something to help us win not get more tokens . but thats just me maybe all wont agree with me on that
gramma says
Don’t really like this game much. It is way too busy for me. It will give me a headache if I play too long.
Rick says
It also speaks of rank points. How are they accumulated? Do you earn more rank points on higher levels? How to play doesn’t speak of this, either.
tigger says
rick- the how to play will not tell you if all puzzles are solveable because that is for us to figure out π and btw “groooooovyyyyyyyyyy mannnnnnnnnn” lol, i LOVE this game, im a 70s baby but i loved 60s music, etc, from that era..only tried on easy level, may give it a go on medium..i will definitely play this π
tigger says
oh, as far as the bugs in game, there are always bugs in it first few days, suggestion: wait it out or continue playing with the buggies
Chelle says
sandy z (30), I noticed the token payout was a bit small but as with most pogo games, higher difficulties lead to more tokens. You probably know that, but another way to get more tokens is from the streak bonus. If you win a game and then keep winning, you get 100 extra tokens. I’m playing on hard and I have a streak going so I’m getting around 350 tokens per game. Every jackpot spin I’ve received has been pretty high as well.
Rick (21): I’ve only had that problem with one puzzle so far (out of 50). I undid everything and tried it again and again but could not get it to work out properly, even with a powerup. I just assumed every puzzle is solvable but that I just couldn’t see it in that one.
To comment on the game’s difficulty: I agree that it’s quite easy, even on the hardest setting. I like to create challenges for myself, like trying to end with a certain number of moves left, or deciding ahead of time which color I want to end with and trying to make it work out. If you don’t use powerups and try to win every game, you do have to think a little bit. I can’t complain about the difficulty – if I want to play something harder then I’ll go do that. :]
Rebecca says
Boring. I am glad some people find it fun, but I don’t….maybe if I play a little more, I will start to enjoy it. Confusing a bit at first, but easy to play after awhile. Thanks for such a great site Lura!!
ctinkerbell says
I like it ok but I was hoping it was going to be a swaping game. I like bejewled and want one on pogo
Jenn M says
Ive been playing for a few hours … is it me, or does this take quite a bit to get to the next rank? This might be punishment for all those games that came out and people ranked out in quickly.
I started on easy, but Im now playing on hard. Its REALLY tough for me to see the flowers (I wear glasses and the prescription is really old) … however, it will help get to one of the in game badges quicker, so Ill do it!
Good luck to everyone!
nephthys says
I beta tested this game too and, yeah, it was reallllllly buggy when it was first released for us to play. It was interesting seeing the transition of the game to what it is now. You USED to be able to chose your starting point from one of two flowers and they took that away… I liked that π
The flowers -are- pretty tiny on hard, but as long as I dont play for long intervals its fine for me.
Hints for the game:
*Whatever color flower has the most moves compared to the others, use that one FIRST. When you get towards the end of the game you want to have even moves for all the colors (Say you start off at 6 4 5 2… your going to want to get down to 2 2 2 2 moves each.)
*When you get down to each color having the same number of moves, use them in turn. You DONT want to get one color to 0 when another one is at 3.
*If you put your cursor over the flower (either on the board, or the one with the number of moves on it) the flowers that will change for you will light up on the board.
Have fun!
ellen520 says
Thanks Lura for letting us know this one was up and running! I didnt find it hard to understand but dont find it super-interesting. And Rick (post # 35) makes a good point…how many rank points do we earn per game on the different levels?
Lori says
I too am having problems seeing the flowers on harder levels.. Old eyes dont see as well as youthful ones.LOL I really dont like the game.. To me it is childish and boring but others might find it entertaining. Good luck all
bunnybear says
I wish that there was a counter that showed how many are being converted. Good luck e1 and have fun!
Pat says
Well, I have played several games and am on rank 2. Without special brownies, which i havent had since the 60s, i imagine, I will get the minis and then figure out if I will continue on to the first badge. I cant imagine ranking out at this point, but, will stumble thru the challenges..it is doable, but, not a favorite.
Angela says
thank you so much Sandy Z,
medium was so much easier then the easy level, go figure. So far Ive won every game Ive played on medium, so thank you. Now I may even start to enjoy the game
dawnply5 says
This game is ok I played it for awhile and it seemed easy enough but I dont see it going on my list of favorites I just see which color connects the most flowers and pick that one LoL
I am dissappointed about having to change the screen resolution (again!! like puck peak) because it makes the screen so much smaller not good for people with bad eyesight as it is and has alot to do with why I dont play pucks peak much
I am guessing this game release is gonna take the place of a new album for this month since it is the last tuesday of the month and still no album ( I would have rather have gotten an album then the game LOL)
gl everyone on the game and badges !!
Shelly says
I gave in and tried Flower Daze and have to say I quite liked it though can’t imagine playing for too long at a time before eyes and head aches.
The undo button is a godsend, every game should have one…lol
Rank points are given as follows….1 rank point for a win on easy, 2 points for a win on medium and 3 points for win on hard.
Also I am using my powerups every game rather than saving them because there is a badge for using them.
You have to ”Play 5000 or more games with 50% or more of the wins involving a power up”
On game page it says ‘play’ but I think it means ‘win’
Jenn M says
@ Ellen (#43) … as far as I can tell … I earned 1 rank point on easy, and I’m earning 3 rank points per game on hard, so I can only conclude that its:
1 rank point on easy
2 rank points on medium
3 rank points on hard
Monica says
I tried the game and I found it very boring I doubt I’ll be playing it much probably only if it’s a weekly badge
Serena says
I actually love this game, and I love the pretty colours. I’m a fan of the ’60s and the ’80 – and I like the ’70s, as well.
Anyway, as a few other said, this game took me a few tries to get the hang of – but, once I did, I’ve come to love it. Later on, I’ll maybe try the higher difficulty levels.
DebbieSLP says
I’m only 40 with good vision, and I also find the flowers difficult to look at for extended time on medium level and difficult. But, I’ve been playing a while to see how it goes.
For the first 15 games or so, I won every game on medium by following the suggestions above (thank you nephthys!)
However since then I can’t seem to win any games no matter how much I undo or try to plan (still working on my next “heart” to get the jps). Also after a while there seem to be no more powerups on offer? After half a dozen losses in a row the charm has worn off. Does something change after a while, and they give you harder arrays, lol?
I hate to think I have to go down to the easy level to work on this badge. In fact I probably will just stop here and not play again until I have to for a weekly badge. But at least it if I decide to slog through it on easy, it will be better on my eyes!
Hard to look at for long and low token counts …. Overall not going to be a favorite of mine. DH also tried it and abandoned it after just a few games.
Die Hard Yankees Fan! says
I have been waiting for this game for a long time… All I can say is it was sure well worth the wait.. I love the colourful graphics, the hippie dude is awesome, I really enjoy the game, its different.. Although I do hate the fact that it takes rank points to rank up.. I wish it were converted flowers or jackpots spins or something… Anything else then rank points..
It took me awhile to get the hang of it.. But now I play on easy and fly through it..I have tried meduim and I dont like it..The flowers are too small for me.. I havent tried hard and probably wont..
You only get one rank point towards rank on easy which is a bummer so it will take longer to rank up.. Oh well.
I am very pleased with the game and it will hold my interest for a long time.. Very refreshing.
Thanks BH for all the updates π
Take care
maxit says
Note you must complete a game (win or lose) to earn your score, stats, tokens, and rank progress.
that is from the pogo directions….but it seems you only get your rank progress if you win…..anyone getting rank points if you lose??
DebbieSLP says
maxit, that seemed to be the case for me too, not getting rank progress unless you win.
I bumped up to trying difficult level and was able to win games again, flukey thing with medium I think. But it was hard on the eyes… lots of squinting! And the tokens were not any better, really.
The graphics are very cool, I just wish the flowers themselves were solid colors instead of two-color, and that instead of glowing around the edges, they blinked or got darker or something. Makes it harder to see the patterns the way they have it.
Maybe it will grow on me after a while …. nice that its a bit different in concept than other games!
NLinda says
Cant say it is one of my favorite games at this point, but then again it isnt on the least fav list either. I read the How to Play, but to be honest, the tips in here helped more! Thank you for sharing the good tips everyone!! Im thinking they could have made the hippie scene graphic a bit smaller, the actual game window a bit larger and the overall screen a bit smaller.
I agree with several others that I will probably play this game mostly for badges as it does get to the eyes after a bit of playing. Hope everyone at least gives it a try. Good luck all.
KellyNOhio says
I am not thrilled with this game… only time Ill play it is when a badge comes up, like I do with Beaker Creatures and the Boardwalk skiball game (sorry to those who like those games…. I dont lol). As people have said above, it is easier to play on medium, which doesnt make sense AT ALL. Onto the next new release! LOL
Pat says
in addition to 5 badges for rank points, there are 3 special badges. Lura has provided us with a link to these badges as well at the top of the home page.
Cindy says
I just tried this game and I dont like it at all. Not challenging, very boring and dumb. Guess I like games of skill, word games and chance…wont be playing this unless it comes up in one of the weekly challenges.
helen says
dont like it,its boring and hard on the eyes

What a great game! Took a few minutes to figure it out, but now Im hooked. Ive already reached rank 5. Love the graphics! I was born in the 70s, but my parents are true Grateful Dead fans. Maybe Ill borrow their albums and put on my moms old Go Go boots next time I play this game.
Great site! Glad I found it!

I tried Flower Daze and did not care for it, guess I will be sticking to my other fav games on Pogo,
Vics says
It took a couple games for me to get the hang of it. I play on hard and I am winning almost all my games. I got the first mini award. It is rather hard on my eyes though. I enjoy the game but need to take breaks to rest my eyes.
Happy Gaming All
TY Lura for a wonderful site
My best to you and your little man

I also like the game a lot. I bit the bullet and made it to Rank 10 tonight. 100 rank points each on ranks 8 9 took a while. But now to make it to Rank 11, its 250 points. I think ranking out on this game is not in my future, or even trying for Rank 20. Although the convert or covert 100,000 flowers badge will come before Rank 20, Ill probably wait until they give a weekly badge to give me a jump start.
Sherri says
I just got done giving the new game a try, I like it but I agree with some of the people here, it is hard on the eyes. I have perfect vision but find trying to play this game gave me a headache. My brother is color blind so when I asked him to try he laughed and said There is no way, that game would drive me nuts trying to find the differences in the flowers in order to get them to change I really hope Pogo is gonna change this game some, the colors are pretty but the little flowers on the harder levels makes me wonder how many people will stick with to get the badges.
psalm233 says
WOOHOO I love this game, I am a 60s baby so brings back the good memories. The only thing I dont like just like in Puck is having to change the resolution I hope that all the new games arent going to be like that. Other wise easy to play, easy to figure out loads of fun (not stoned lol). The room im in for the most part really like it and easily addicted!!! Another good one, THANKS pogo thank you Lura!!!! CUDOS
Kevin B. says
Well, I tried it this afternoon and wanted to play longer, but work intervened.
I came home this evening, started the game up, let the dogs out, and the PC apparently burned out the motherboard. This is NOT related to the game… the PC was old and needed work.
Im enjoying this new game. Further updates if I change my mind…
Oh, by the way, I see someone (ttgal1971) won the Hog Heaven jackpot on 2/23/10. Maybe all the rumors, etc. can finally die down on that front…
Megan says
I can only handle this game in small doses. I figured it out easy enough and no technical issues so far. Its just a bit on the boring side. Maybe I should try a different level? lol I do want those mini items though! Pogo should celebrate the release with some groovy new mini items as well.
Oh yea, while I was clicking away at the flowers, I noticed that someone finally won the Hog Heaven jackpot. Bummer, I was hoping it would be me π
nessa says
As soon as I read in here that the game has been released I jumped to it and I went to the How to Play before start playing (as I always do with a new game) and all I could say was WHAT???? those instructions are made to confuse people lol, so I decided just to go and try it, and I got the hang of it right away, I’m already rank 4 and still not sure if I like it or not, I play one game and I like it, next game I hate it lol, but I have to say is quite addictive, so maybe this means I like it.
Love the graphics and the colors but I really really hate the hippi guy, takes much of the screen for nothing and talking about the screen…I love it’s a huge one but such a big screen and so small flowers what a waste. I donΒ΄t know if every puzzle has a solution but thanks for the Undo button even if after a few times I just click New game, I feel like you lose more time undoing than starting a new one. This game is not going to be one of my favs but its ok, quite challenging, not as bad and boring as minigolf madness.
Also I think is going to be hard to rank out if we only get 3 rank points on Hard level.
Mrs. Mike Brown says
The game is differant..that’s for sure. I do kinda like it but am only at 50% win rate. The guy in the corner is irritating..lol. I just wish Pogo would make some more well known games or more card games. But it is a cute idea.
rock says
I am not going to do cart wheels of flips over this game since it is so time consuming and yes can get very boring not like playing poker or monopoly etc.
dawnply5 #48
1024 x 768 resolution really should not have to be changed, it works well with all my screens from 17″ to my 32″ and I am 75 years young.
many times i have had to help others that do to seeing print better at 800×600 cannot see many of the web pages as a whole complete page.
bunnybear #45
the conversion does show and scrools at top of screen.
Lisa (thirty7ave) says
I really dont like this game. I also agree with some people here, this game it’s hard on the eyes. I think is going to be hard to rank out if we only get 3 rank points on Hard level.
Thanks Lura…How is the BABY?
Lura says
Lisa: the baby is awesome, thanks for asking. 10.5 weeks, full of smiles and coos, and officially sleeping through the night (for now) without any effort on our part. The kid clearly takes after his mama, who requires at least 9 hours of sleep per night in order to feel human. π
And because I must make every post at least a little on-topic:
I am not really liking Flower Daze. I only had time to play three games (lost two, but I’m impatient and fond of the new game button) and I can see the appeal, but I just don’t have time to strategize. I will, however, try on medium next time — thanks for the tip Sandy Z!
Shelly says
I have another tip that might be of use to some of you if like me you aren’t bothered about tokens (not that this game gives many away anyway…lol )
When my board comes up, if I don’t have high numbers on the flowers that make the moves I hit new game until I have at least 2 flowers with 5 or moves on them. This doesn’t count in stats as losses as long as you don’t click on the board at all but it does reset your win streak so you don’t get the token bonus from that.

my kid loves it and i like it too very groovy lol
evanka11 says
I’ve found that easy and hard are pretty easy to win on, but medium is really hard — harder than the hard level.
Karen says
I forgot to mention one major glitch with this game.
It fills up my entire monitor, so much that I cant even see the chat feature. Its disturbing!
psalm233 says
i just hit rank 5, and like someone said high seams to be best you can rank faster, about 3 rank points per game. Medium is hard so gave hard a try flowers are a little easier to see & get more moves. That’s about it for now.
Thank You Lura, and have fun e1 π
Chelle says
I just read a Q&A with the game’s producer, and he had this to say at the end of the interview: “Although the game will be released with two cool power-ups, we plan on releasing two more shortly after launch! Be looking for that.”
They might take their time releasing more power-ups (not that I’m complaining), but it’s neat to think about. Maybe that power-up they took out right before they released the game will be back.
Kat F. says
Well, all you Flower Daze Lovers, I have to giggle at your enthusiasm, lol I do admire it and wish it could rub off, lol
I’m pretty much VERY disappointed in this new game…I’d so hoped it would be more of a Match 3-type game, but maybe next game?
My two thoughts (at least) are: The guys who designed the game, Flower Daze, were really stoned!! (can I say that? ROFL!!!)
BUT, the guys who wrote the Directions were OUT OF THEIR MINDS TOTALLY!! ROFLMBOOOO!!!
Don’t think you’ll find me there many more times…I’ve tried it on all levels and it just doesn’t hold my interest. What IS the point of this game?? Anyone know? lol lol Besides all the work and so few tokies? They don’t call me The Tokie Queen for nothing ya know?
SO MUCH time and effort went into a game that SHOULD have been used to fix ALOT of KNOWN ISSUES we have with many Pogo features and games. Ya know what I mean? Or is it just me? π
Personally, I’d send Flower Daze BACK if we could have some of those ISSUES FIXED! Guess I’m being too harsh? Naahhh!
Sorry, don’t have any tips or tricks about this game…except play something else! haha Oooohhhh! I’m so bad. π Thanks for letting me vent! π
Have a good week with your games and badges.

KUDOS TO POGO!!!! — for making a fun game from way back when.. at first i wasnt sure about this game.. and weather i liked it or not and wasnt sure if i knew how to play it but once i got the hang of it i have won alot more games then lost.. i do dislike the fact that the flowers on the hard level are small the colors blend together sometimes making it hard for some to see.. but other than that i give this game an A++++++++++++++++++++++++++ in my book and i hope pogo keeps it around π

I like this game even more than Pucks Peak, which I was also excited about. I guess the next game to be released would be Risk or Clue, and Im not sure if Im as excited about those. I definitely plan to give them a try, though.
Anyway, Im almost at rank ten. While I appreciate that some think the ranking system is too much, I dont think this is really a game Id like to rank out of so fast. Im excited about getting the first game badge, though.
The colours are very pretty, and I love the psychedelic look.
Sherri says
Didnt care for this game and will play only when I need to get a badge.

Im on the fence about this game. I neither love it, nor hate it. I just dont really understand what it means to convert a flower. Does this flower conversion have anything to do with the rank points? How exactly do you convert a flower? And, why do you need to convert them? If anyone could shed some light, Id be very grateful! LOL

Just wondering why it says sneak peek next to this game. Does that mean it isnt sticking around? Most games say new next to them when they come out. I dont want to work on this game if its not going to be around.
tigger says
kat, it means its not fully released yet, but it will b soon..u can still play it though
Shelly says
Kat8mouse #86.
I believe the game says sneak peek next to it instead of new because it’s not been officially released yet. Only those of us who knew it was coming and where to find it are playing it.
Yesterday on my Pogo travels I was asking what people thought of the new game and most of them hadn’t heard of it or knew where to find it.
JMWilden says
I’m really enjoying this game. Takes a little while to get the hang of it but then it’s easy. There is one confusing thing I didn’t see in the other posts: The scrolling bar at the top of the game says “so-and-so just got the Flowerific Badge”. To my knowledge, there is no such badge. It appears to actually be the “Make flowers not war” badge unless I missed something.
Lura says
JMWilden: they used different names for the badges in development — they were changed right before release so the game probably didn’t get updated (bad Pogo!). There was also a Color gardener badge and Color power user badge as well. π

This is definately NOT a game i would recommend to friends nor would I even bother to play it other than for the fact there are a few mini items that we can get. I wouldn’t even consider it a childs game, i didn’t even find it fun or amusing. Pogo should really consider getting their act together and fix whats already troublesome with some of the other games rather than come up with these games that are in my personal opinion not even pogo-worthy

It took me 5 minutes to figure out the game and another 5 to break the game wide open. I like Flower Daze 1.0, and am looking forward to Flower Daze 2.0 to see how they can make the hard level unwinnable.
Serena says
Is there really going to be an upgraded edition of Flower Daze? I’ve heard of two new power-ups, but…
tigger says
serena, thats what it looks like, but have to wait, when they say coming soon or in future, it means a while lol…and btw im STILL addicted lol, rank 8
PurplePlum1 says
I tried the game on the hard level tonight. It’s actually easier to win on the hard level than it is on the easy level (for me, anyways – 14 streak and counting). On the hard level, you only get one powerup, but the score multipliers happen more often in a game. Plus, you rank up quicker.
It *is* hard on the eyes, though; it’s tough to see the glow. Good Luck if you try it.

Is anyone else noticing that the rank doesn’t hold across rooms? I got to rank 1 in a room with very few people in it, decided I wanted to play in a larger room, moved, played for a while, and much to my surprise, got rank 1 again.
Would love to know if it’s just me, but just in case, I’m going to make sure and play in the same room as much as possible…
tigger says
ulmia, hasnt happened to me, not sure why it moved back on u, ss π oh yea, and yet STILL addicted lmao

I wanted to read all the responses b4 I even tried the new game. Oh boy…..very mixed responses, but, of course, I’ll try it and see for myself. As for my problem last week (with the personal badges questions), tyvm Lura and Sheljin. I DID see your response. GLA this week, going to check out Flower Daze now. GBUA, Carol

I played this…….. *flower power* to all π
Didn’t have any problems w/rank (made it to 10) but ever since I played that game pogo is giving me fits. No Java message, freezing, and no sound (when I DO get into a room).

I was trying to find the tips in here – after playing the game guess I could not find them. Eyes are shot…
Can someone explain those power ups? The one I understand I think the small one with the belt on… LOL could not think of a better way to describe.
The larger one do not understand at all.
Ohh sounds like you have a good baby Lura. What a blessing !!!
Jan in Denver says
For Jane (100) – the small rocket (with the belt) on it gives you one more flower change. You click on it and then you click on the color you want one more change of. For the larger multi-colored rocket. It takes all unopened flowers of 1 color and turns them into the color of the currently opened flower. So, say you have a single yellow flower in the corner that you can’t get to with the one change you have left. Say you have two changes of green left and green is the color of all the opened flowers. If you click on the rocket and then click on the yellow flower all unopened yellow flowers will now be green. As I alluded to it is good for the flowers that are isolated in corners. I have found good use for it by using undo until I get to a color that I want to change the isolated flower to. Clear as mud?
Like tigger I am finding I’m a bit addicted to this game. I initially tried a few games and I find myself going back each day to play “just a few more”. I also think hard is easier than easy – especially considering 3 rank points vs 1.

Took me a little while to get the hang of the game and actually I found it easier to play on the hard level. It’s going to be a time consuming game to rank up in.
Shelly says
I am now converted to playing this game on hard! lol
I tried playing hard level on the first day but couldn’t get on with it, I think mostly because I was still figuring out the game. Now I know what I’m doing hard level really does seem the easiest level to play. On medium I usually had to use all the moves to win but on hard I am finding myself with at least one move left of each colour.
And of course on hard there’s that all important extra rank point…lol
PurplePlum1 says
I chimed in with all the others over on Pogo’s game forum. Pogo Erik is actually answering the posts (creator of this game and others). He said that there will be an update coming out within a month’s time. I mentioned about the color scheme. He said it’s been noted and they’re trying to fix it somehow. Also, many have mentioned about the hard level being easier than easy. Unfortunately, he said that’s a bug (some bugs we can do without fixing…lol) He said they plan on correcting that as well. He *says* that the hard level will not be too difficult when corrected. We shall see….
So for now, I’m playing as many hard levels I can get in before the update.
You might want to check out the forum if you have any other questions/concerns about the game. Quite a surprise to me, but he is answering the posts daily.
Good Luck….

Every game can not be completed. I just had a board with two lone flowers in the corner that were separated from the others with peace signs. There was no way they could ever be cleared since they weren’t touching other flowers.
I did notice that if you can’t finish a board and just close the game, it doesn’t count as a loss in your stats. So if you care about your stats it is a good way to keep up your winning streak.
I’ve been playing on medium. The flowers just seem too small on hard.
It’s funny that this game doesn’t have the new black bars. I thought they were going for a consistent look.
mspatmac says
Purple, (104) I too read the forum and am trying to play as much as possible before the “fix” goes in. It is relaxing to me and I sure hope they don’t make it to hard.
MyGodchildrenCH says
I have been playing Flower Daze since it came out, a good tip I follow
is surf your curser over the flowers and notice how many lights up,
the color that lights up the most flowers thats the one I click on, and it’s been working for me like a charm.
laurie45678 says
I’ve come across a few posts that say not every puzzle is able to be completed but in the room I’ve been playing in alot of people have been getting streaks of 60-80 on Hard level. I do like the game but wowzers I got to rank 10 and it jumped to 250 to get to rank 11! Alas I will keep plugging away! lol
Sheljin says
To those of you who beta-tested the game – do you find that Pogo changed things you all had problems with? I’m wondering at the size of the flowers and busy-ness of the screen that some are complaining about. Pogo Erik said they are trying to fix the color scheme – wouldn’t that have been something kind of obvious during beta-testing? Just curious. lol

Sheljin says
Caren #105 – I too noticed no black bars….what a relief! lol But it did still call into question the whole “consistency” claim. After nearly a week of no playing, I have to say the black bars are still totally shocking to me each time I see them – they don’t have any cohesiveness with the original designs. I still think it is some kind of thing that went wrong, or we’ll see changed in the future (I hope!) considering how some parts of the Pogo elite didn’t even know they were doing it (a glitch, just one bar, not two etc.).

I have received reports that “new powerups were added” but I can’t confirm more than just one yet. Stay tuned.
