Quick Quack – Quackadoodle Deux Badge
Get 10 Jackpot Spins this week!
Autumn Harvest 2009 Super Badge
Win 12 Challenge Badges between 12 AM PT October 7 and 12 AM PT November 4!
(This includes Personal and Premium Challenges!)
…And it’s a personal challenge marathon week, which means you can choose three personals to complete!
Ben says
Isn’t it 2 extra personals since we always get 1 every week π
Lura says
Ben: yes. Details, details! π
I question how much time I’m going to have to devote to three personals, since these seem like they could take a while. Not to mention the weekend challenge coming up. And my real life obligations. Busy week, for sure!
I could be wrong, but on Easy, Spider Solitaire shouldn’t be too bad, but still probably time consuming. And QQ… At least it’s not 100 JP spins!
Candi(bar50) says
I’m begging for someone to give me a clue – or as many as it takes – on how to do RDS. This is one game that escapes my comprehension (and I have a slew of undone badges in my backlog to prove it). Thank you in advance….
mmklima says
Are we going to hear a bunch of groaning about this weeks challenges? (of course we are.)
Mostly we are going to hear it from the people who think that any challenge that takes more then an hour is “too hard” or “takes too much time”.
Then add the additional 2 personals to the mix and they will be pulling their hair out.
Relax people. We have until next Tuesday night to get them done.
(Maybe these people should do the challenges like some other POGO-ites. Start the challenges on Monday morn and get them done by the real cut off of Tuesday night (depending where you are located.)
So relax and enjoy the games. Don’t get burned out on one game.
BoG says
In Quick Quack, just take your time and try to make as long a streak as you can to collect those tickets. How to Play rules say you get a jackpot spin at 500 tickets.
Ellen says
Good Morning Lura,
Is my memory correct…did POGO decrease the number of JP spins needed for the QQ badge…and didn’t they also decrease the number of questions needed for last week’s TP badge? Are they playing Halloween TRICKS on us…then giving us a Halloween TREAT with extra personal challenges?!
Snowing like mad here in Colorado…nothing to do but play POGO…oh, happy day!
Good Luck everyone with all of your badges:)
Chris says
Re #5: You get a chance at a JP spin at 500 tickets (1 / 3). Then in the middle row you have 2/3. If you get 1000 tickets you are guaranteed a JP spin. So that game is all about guessing the correct prize with a JP spin under it.
jan says
I’m happy to see 3 personals this week! We get extra personals so rarely that I was pleasantly surprised to see 3. I’ve seen lots of comments asking for more and this week we have more. It may be a long time til Pogo grants more then one personal in a week.
My tip for Candi in RDS is to play on easy, use all the free spaces, try to stay focused, and do the challenge in segments. If I play to long my eyes start glazing over. It shouldn’t too bad since there is not skill level requirement or limit on free cells. Other then that, give a shout out here for someone to help you finish that or any other badge. You may try activating any M/M or PBA and do 2 at once depending on what you have left. Good luck.
dawnply5 says
wooohooo !!!! I love all the badges and the extra badges !!! On top of all the badges mentioned above, dont forget that saturday evening is also the monthly release of M/M’s (it is permanently marked in my brain) so there will be all kinds of badges for me to do as I settle into my hibernation mode and get ready for an Indiana winter ROFL
GL on all the badges ev1 π

For QQ
If you get sea sick and don’t like the moving waves, there is a way to stop them.
Click on the game board (anywhere) and then type anim
This will stop the waves.

is there something wrong with me that i think this weekend challenges are easy? I love playing quick quack (yes even the evil badge everyone complains about) so i’m excited for a badge to be in that game, they don’t to many premium badges in there.
As for RDS i got addicted to spider solitaire years ago when we first got a windows xp computer and this version is sooo much easier (although i am only good on easy)
3 challenges is awesome, i’m working on my 2006 album right now. although i will admit that since there is 3 i might try to pick some easier ones, especially with the special spooky slots badge this weekend.
Well good luck everyone, happy badge day! (i can’t believe it’s only Wednesday…so busy at work yet the week is dragging by)

Candi #3.
Can’t guarantee this help will be any good but I’ll give it a go…lol
Play on easy, this way you only have to sort one suit of cards. Aim of the game is to make columns of cards starting with a King at the top and ending in an Ace. Once you have a full column it will automatically leave the playing area itself. Though don’t be worried if you have no Kings to start with, you can make parts of columns and build them up as the game progresses.
To start with I make as many moves as I can before I click on the extra cards. When you have made all the moves you can, click on one of the extra stacks of cards and do the same….make all the moves you can before getting more cards.
I find the less cards I have in the playing area the easier the game is.
Also if you have lets say three ace cards and one 2 card…..I would move one of the aces onto the 2 but if the card under the ace wouldn’t let my game grogress I would undo the move and move one of the other aces hoping my game could then carry on before getting spare cards out.
You can undo as many times as you like.
Hope that helps for now and please ask if you need more help.
Shelly
HomelessDog says
For Rainy Day, you do NOT have to win the game to get credit towards this badge. Whenever you clear a column by moving all the cards off of it you’ll get a column bonus and see some tokens fly away. When you have all the column bonuses that you feel like you can get, just hit New Deal and you’ll get credit for all of them. Make sure you use the Free Column and the Free Cell. It’s really a pretty fast badge.
Candi(bar50) says
Don’t know if it was something Jan said (and ty2 Shelly altho I hadn’t read yours yet), but all of a sudden a light bulb went off and I completed 2 games in a row. Mind you, I don’t even have rank 1 in that game and, yes, I always tried when it showed up as a weekly badge. Maybe I CAN clear out those 8 other RDS badges….
And thanks to MM #10 for the anti-wave formula. I think I’ve read that somewhere else before but maybe I was missing something because it never worked for me. Alleluia! Now I can throw away the seasick pills.
Shelly says
Another tip I found when just playing…..if you aren’t great at the game you still get credit for clearing stacks. So if you clear a couple of stacks and get the tokens then rebuild on the stack but don’t win the game you will get credit for those stacks you cleared.
nephthys says
I do not know if I am going to be able to do all the personal challenges this week! I have been so obsessed with the new game in beta testing I had to force myself to complete the badges last week >.> Maybe if I can find easy badges I will do them… lol
I enjoy RDS and that one is pretty simple (I actually already did it once on the beta site >.>) as for Quick Quack? Again, not bad… I just find myself getting bored with it very quickly. Thanks for the animation tip though! I think thats neat, lol

[requisite whining]Oh Joy! Two of my least favorite games. Spidey is easy on easy and I can win every game but that’s still 15 games I’d rather not play, lol. As for QQ, I’ve held a grudge against him since that horrible challenge all those badges ago-cringe![/requisite whining]
Having said that, I have plenty of free time this week and I’ll just play a few games at a time and in between look for game I like to do for personal badges in between the torture….er….weekly challenges. π
evanka11 says
3 personal badges! cool! (i wish we got 2 every week)
both challenges seem easy enough —
take your time in QQ thinking ahead before clicking on a duck — I always look for numerical matches among all the ducks before starting and at every refill (there’s a yellow 10, and a red 10, etc), and then plan accordingly. There’s no rush. (I turn off the sound too — very annoying, i find)
MomsBassetHound says
In order to guarantee a JP spin in QQ you need to get 1,000 tickets.
You can accomplish this with long streaks and rainbow streaks. If you have power ups (+2 ducks or wild duck) don’t be afraid to use them. You get nothing for not using them, no bonus at the end of the game.
If you are getting towards the end of a streak use a +2 duck, if it doesn’t help you continue your streak just undo it. You only have 1 undo per streak. I try and save my wild ducks, but will use them to continue a long streak.
At the beginning of the game look at what numbers and colors you have, try to plan how you are going to go from 1 color to the next.
Good Luck Everyone!!

Hi everyone! Happy hump day. I am with cookie I love both games as a matter of fact they were among the first I added to my favorites list. I also am happy with the 3 personal challenges now i can get closer to finishing my 07 album. On QQ this is not a always true hint but I have found it to be so most of the time guessing the middle prize on rows 1 and 2 usually yields a jps. This is going to be totally off subject but on the Halloween badge if you look at it on the badge page the icon is a candy filled jack-o-lantern like the kiddos are holding in the badge, Don’t get me wrong I love the ghost as it reminds me of my favorite arcade game of all time which is pac-man. i was just wondering if they made a mistake or changed it. have a great challenge day all and just think 2 more days and the weekend is here!!!!!!!!
Richard, Syracuse, NY says
Pogo just does not listen to people and has not learned its lesson from last year. The Quick Quack challenge is the one they had to extent to a full month. And a large number of people complained all the time about it. I tried to get them to change the challenge from 10 JP Spins to 25 Bonus rounds. But Pogo doesn’t listen to anyone.
And to those who think you automatically get a JP spin when you get 500 tickets, guess again. You have to guess the correct one of 3 items. So you could keep getting to the Challenge Level and still not get a JP Spin, that is what upset so many people last year.
Time after time Pogo has proven that they really do not care what people think or what people want.
Serena says
I like this week’s challenges. I did all three of my personals on Poppit, since I realized how much catching up I have to do there.
I don’t think this week’s badges are that hard, at all. If you get a high score on Quick Quack, then you’re guaranteed a jackpot spin. I managed to get pretty good at that game, so…
The Spooky Slots badge is sort of like the icing on the cake. This is a great week for badges, indeed.
kiki says
I think Pogo has an impossible job, pleasing everyone. These challenges were eminently do-able. I’m no expert in either game, but trying very hard to extend one’s streak in QQ and playing on easy in RDSol had both of these badges done in short time.
MomsBassetHound says
You are guaranteed a JP spin when you hit 1,000 QQ tickets. You can get a JP with only 500 tickets, but need to pick the correct prize.

Shelly says
Another tip for QQ that helps me do long streaks is that if/when I have a wild duck available I like to bring it down into the row of ducks so that its available at all times. Its very annoying to get a refill but have no moves available. With the wild duck there you at least have another go.
Doing a bit on my QQ badge this afternoon I got sick of the whiners complaining about not always getting a spin.
They are called CHALLENGES for a reason…..they are meant to challenge you. I for one am glad they will take more than the usual 10 minutes to complete.
tigger says
qq just play normal like u always do, because you do NOT get a spin EVERY time, regardless if you get to the top prize selection or not, its a GAMBLE as to if you get one or not….rainy day, no tips here, dont care for it lol, although i have been playing on easy level and it seems to go faster
Bryan says
Will it let you do all three personals in the same game?
It won’t make you deactivate the challenge if it is the same game?
Cookie2636 says
I would just like to give Shelly (12) a BIG Thank you. I had given up on trying to do the RDS until I read your post. I tried for one column at a time and it “Really” worked. After you get the first 2 or 3 columns the rest will kinda fall in place. I still have 120 to go (lol) but at least it’s a start. Now if I could just figure out Payday Free Cell, I’d be in business.
Ellen says
I couldn’t agree with you more Richard. Challenges are supposed to present a challenge but not create frustration. They preach stress relief and then pile it on. We as players are insignificant. They are a business and their object is money. They have flourished to the point that losing players doesn’t matter to them.
I do enjoy the feeling of accomplishment that comes with completing a challenge but to have to tolerate the constant whining makes it even harder. I don’t want to shut the chat because I want to keep track of my progress, and muting them all is ridiculous.
Pogo needs to understand that and I agree that it appears they just don’t care.
tigger says
bryan, yes you can do all 3 in same game, but you have to activate one at a time..for some reason pogo hates u doing them all at once lmao
Serena says
If you were talking to me, Bryan, I didn’t activate them all at once – and, I guess, according to tigger, that’s not even allowed. I was uncertain about that – but what I did was complete one personal, before activating the next. Poppit is a nice and relaxing game to play – and I want to try to get all the challenges done, before I rank you.
I just got the Quick-Quack challenge, and that wasn’t hard at all. From my experience, I’ve always had a jackpot spin for making 1000+ tickets – but the lower two are chance.
I just got started on Spider Solitaire, and winning 15 games isn’t that big of a deal. I play on medium mode, and I don’t worry about saving extra tokens on the bonus foundation. Especially since I now finally managed to complete all the archives of Trivial Pursuits (both US and UK), and realized how spoiled I became by the huge token payouts.
I also got the Harvest Super Badge, which is awesome – and I can hardly wait for the Spooky Slots Special Edition Badge.
Well, I’m off to do all the Tips For Tokens Wednesday Games – since this is our last opportunity to do so.
I do like to try to complete all my badges on Wednesday – but sometimes I don’t, and that’s also fine.
nessa says
I just start working on badges, choose QQ because I thought is the one that is going to take longer to get, so far I’m doing ok, I got 1000 tickets in 3 games and of course 3 jps , so I don’t think is a “I’m going to get a jps only if I’m lucky” badge, go slow, think a lot and use your undo button, your 2 ducks and your wilds ducks wisely to get 1000 ticket and you will get the badge in 10 games.
I’m not worried about spider solitaire, if you play on easy you get a win every time.
As for the 2 extra pesonal badges wow I’m so glad….I wish we could make more than one personal each week.
Neo says
Quick Quack took me 15 games in 1 hour. This was a fair challenge, whereas some in recent weeks took a few hours.
For those who say pogo doesnt consider feedback, the weekly poll has has QQ at 44% as the favorite challenge versus Spider game. The number should speak for itself as this isnt as despised as some make this out to be.
nessa says
For Spider Solitaire, you dont need to finish the game, play on easy and try to open all the columns (foundations), use the free cells and the bonus free column so you can move a stack of cards there just to open a column, once they are all open click new deal on bottom left, eventually you wont even need to use the draw piles at all. Got my badge in no time doing this. Of course this wont give you any progress towards your next rank, so if your trying to move up in ranks while working on this badge just finish your game ( is not really hard on easy after all).
Dan13 says
loving it this week yay for 6 challenges this week … now if only they would make it permanent lol.
Cinner11 says
RDS was easy on the Easy setting.
QQ is going to drive me crazy, not a favorite. I think part of the definition of challenge is playing games we dont usually play. Case in point- Jungle Jin. If not for the badge I probably wouldnt have played and not I love it!
Spooky Slots took forever which made me really appreciate my laptop as I sat on the sofa watching TV while I earned it!
I agree with those that said Pogo has an impossible job pleasing everyone. Cant be done. Whats fun and/or easy for me may not be for someone else.
cameron barry says
I wish the QQers stop whiming over the badges 4 that game it is not compulsorary to do challenges unless you want to complete the albums personal marathons do not worry me that much LURA i have a idea for this weeks open thread question how many time have youreactivated a challenge badge from all catogories mix and match weeklies premium books? good luck with badges e1 spider is easy do it on the easy level

Hey, this week challenges are cool – always like to play the games I havent yet ranked out in. Read some comments about quick quack – not sure what all the fuss is about!! I like this game and am glad that Pogo have included it as a weekly the challenge is not that differcult. Feel people should only maon about things they have to do – like chores – not things they have a choice about doing.

To the person that suggested the Quick Quack challenge be 25 Bonus Rounds instead of 10 Jackpot Spins, that would make the badge take 2.5 times as long for anyone that knows how to play the game. As long as you get 1000 tickets each game, which isn’t hard, you’ll get a jackpot spin ever time.

Happy weekend everyone! i loved doing the extra badges this week. i liked both games also i had alot of hearts badges to do from the pass> ( I HATE HEARTS lol) so i did 3 heart personals played with the bots and i think i have learned to love the game lmao I all most forgot i reached 50 in monopoly slots i was so glad, them dice were so hard to get lol well happy trick and treating everyone ! Also the tips for wed i know its over but i got them in the am and in the pm i had never tried that before

after spending day at hospital having therapy it was nice to get on pogo to do challenges.they were not as bad as some people were winging in rooms.. hello a challenge aint supposed to be easy thats why it called a challenge but it nice when we get ones u can just relax and enjoy like this weeks,as for the 3 personals i just repeat from any album as all my albums completed
Jan says
For those of you who are finished with your albums and are repeating badges for personals…Pogo left the 2009 Poppit Anniversary challenge at 10,000 token payout. A lot of tokens for a fairly easy badge. Use the shortcut that was suggested when this badge originally appeared.
Janice says
As far as the challenges this week..awesome. My only problem is I have finished all my albums, and have ranked out in RDS. I am working on ranking out in Bingo Luau, so I did all my personals for that game. I have 42 jps left to rank 50. I am a firm believer in READING THE INFO on the game if I do not know how to play it. I do not go into a room and ask the group “How do you play this game” unless I have read the game info and still don’t get it. (this has happened 1 time and that was Lottso Express) I didn’t get all the extra stuff. Happy Halloween everyone..be good to the treaters and tricksters.
Shelly says
Cookie2636. You are very welcome and I’m glad my post helped! Payday Freecell is a different kettle of fish!!! lol I know how to play that one but don’t win everytime….I have to concentrate too hard…lol
Tigger #26.
If you get the top line of prizes to choose from you are guaranteed a jp spin. Thats the only line of prizes that isn’t a gamble.
Jeannie says
Please tell me where to find the shortcut for the Poppit Anniversary challenge. I have really tried to find it and can’t. I (and maybe others) would appreciate it. Thank you.

Jeannie: I used the search engine in the right sidebar to search for “poppit anniversary” and came up with this page:
https://www.badgehungry.com/2009/09/09/weekly-challenges-september-9-15/
What you’re looking for is in comment #29. With that said, a week or so after the challenge, it came out in a Letters to the Editor that it violates Pogo’s TOS. Whether or not you care is up to you, but you should probably read the editor’s comments before you make your decision. See “Cheating on Challenges” way down the page here:

Wow, alot of badges to get this week. In Quick Quack you can get extra tickets for getting rainbow streaks, king ducks, half a dozen of one number, number order, and clearing all the ducks. Try to get at least 1000 tickets, you’ll get a spin for sure.
DebbieSLP says
RDS I found pretty easy. Even gave my DH some pointers on it after I got the hang of it.
I know everyone here hates complainers, but I had never played QQ before. Right now I have a streak of 12 games played, most of them got me to the middle level, with NO jackpot spins. I have to say, that is pretty frustrating. I’m burned out!
Between tonight and yesterday, when I did manage to get the top row one time (I usually end up with 800-950 tickets), I have 3 of 10 jackpots and have put in probably four hours. I mostly chose the middle prize based on advice here. I like a challenge, but this is just… WTH. Based on chance I should have gotten at least a few spins. My DH got mostly middle row too (and no top row), and he says he finished the badge in about an hour.
Please tell me this is not a typical experience for QQ. Just my incredible bad luck? Does it help to stop and start over in another room? I wish there were some kind of booby prize for getting more than ten games in a row with no jackpot spins! Just something to keep the unlucky player going.
I’m looking forward to choosing my extra badges this week. Usually I like to complete the regular weekly ones first, but not sure about this week!
PetalmaneBaku says
Umm.. just me? I keep getting 1,000+ tickets in Quick Quack, and when I pick a prize (from the top row), I don’t always get a spin.. o.O
Frank says
Am I the only one who enjoys Quick Quack? I love these challenges and the 10 jp spin was easy to get in less than an hour. I got a jackpot spin each round, except for one, since my streaks usually end up being 75 – 80. I’m usually doing the probability and odds of moves so absent-mindedly, which I’ll congratulate to OCD. Heh.
I used all three of my personal badges on Tri-Peak Solitaire, considering that was a game I didn’t play too often and have started getting into it once again.
Sheljin says
Janice #44 – Thank you! I am a pretty friendly person and I don’t mind helping people with badges, but it really does amaze me when someone comes into a room and just expects to be taught how to play. Like, it is okay for everyone else to spend time reading and learning, but their time is too valuable or something?? lol
Count me in with the people who like QQ. I think i’m pretty good at it too. Doesn’t mean I wasn’t a complainer during the infamous QQ badge debacle. lol
