Happy Weekend everyone!
I made it to my first yoga class of the season on Wednesday and everything about it reminded me why I love yoga so much. It’s relaxing and calming, and for me it’s the ultimate self-care routine. There’s no crazed jumping in place or flailing arms or lifting weights, just graceful movement and stretching and breathing. It doesn’t even feel like working out, yet my muscles remind me of that after a day or so. And my favorite part? The relaxation and meditation at the end of class. In what other workout class can you sprawl out on the floor, close your eyes, and just breathe peacefully?
I was thrilled to see that there were a few meditation/floaty Mini items released this week along with the extreme sports-style minis too. What did you think of this week’s Mini release? Were you shocked at the price tag? I know I was.
It seems like (almost) everyone really loves Lottso! Express. (At least, it totally overshadowed the weekly challenges!) I love it for the same reasons I love yoga — it’s not frantic, it’s an at-your-own-pace kind of game, with your very own Undo button (which I think a lot of Pogo games could benefit from). If you love it or hate it or are just neutral, why?
If there’s anything else you want to talk about or if you have a problem you’d like solved by the amazing folks who visit here every weekend, go ahead and ask!

Lottso! Express is a lot of fun. After playing only a few hours I am up to rank 12. I like the leisurely pace of it, good job Pogo! It is about time they came up with a game that has replay value! However, I think I will stick to the original Lottso!, someday I will rank out of that game….Someday 🙂

I love Lottso Express! It seems to be a truly special game for Pogo. I also like the new mini items, but what I keep waiting to see is some new hairdos…not particularly the type that have been coming out lately with the costumes and such that are like blue and purple, the sort that I would actually style in my own hair. Any ideas if this on near future agenda???

I like Lottso Express, but it isn’t a stay-with-it-until-rank-out game for me. Wow Mike, that is good….I have played off and on each day since it came out and only hit rank 10 last night.
I didn’t care for any of the new mini’s out this time. The only item I got was the present, bought with tokens. I got it for a Christmas mini later.
We have had beautiful, nice and warm weather all week. But I awoke this morning to a very unexpected snowfall with 6 inches on the ground so far and still coming. I live in northern California, and we haven’t had that much fall in one storm all winter this year. My husband just got home yesterday from a trip to southern California where he endured 101 heat wave. lol

I only grabbed the brown hair versions, but as with the other hairstyles other colors will be available. I’ve seen some hairstyles for men but I am not familiar enough with the men’s closet right now to tell you what’s new or not yet. There are also some salon and spa related mini items coming out, backgrounds, rolling carts with hairstyling equpiment on them.. nothing that really made me go WOW.
Now, I gotta ask, Keztra: did you not know those were coming? Really? I have been sitting on those images a few days; been too busy playing Lottso! Express to put together a more formal post about the new hair. You’re clairvoyant, right? 😛

I agree, it’s nice to have Lottso! Express be an untimed game. That adds to it’s popularity (although I don’t play it much, too busy).
I am VERY disappointed in the newest Mini items in that most have to be purchased with gems. Not that I don’t have gems I just get annoyed at being forced to use them on paper doll items. That’s what all of this really is in the end…paper dolls for grown ups so I just don’t buy the item. I am also disappointed at Pogo’s ‘oh well’ attitude when someone brings this to their attn.
I am so glad you showed the newest hair! I checked into that about 3 weeks ago and was told so I’ve been waiting for someone to bust out the news so I could do so without being the first to give unreleased info. We all have to play the game, lol. Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe! Yowza

I like Lottso Express. I’m at rank 8 and still haven’t gotten into the habit of hitting the refill button. I sit there magically waiting for the balls to refill themselves lol.
It’s going to be bright, sunny and in the 80’s here in NC this weekend. I’m spending as much time outside as possible.
Quick question. On Pogo’s main page where it advertises the new minis, there is a baby’s room background. It was also shown in the newsletter. Where is this? I can’t seem to find it.

I think it’s retired now. I think it came out around the same time as Mahjong Garden Deluxe (odd how I associate things in my head). I wish they wouldn’t use retired items in promotional materials. Anyway, I didn’t purchase it originally so I don’t know its name. Maybe someone else can let us know its name and release date?
debbie: You can figure out what to do through Pogo’s help system. Click on Help in the upper left corner of their site, then search for “lost”. The fifth result is “Obtaining a Replacement Registration Code”. Click on that and you should be able to figure out what to do from there.

I’m happy with the release of Lottso Express, its a fun game. I haven’t played it as much as I’ve been wanting it too but maybe this weekend if its going to be rainy like they have been saying.
I was impressed with the mini release. I haven’t gotten any yet because I just don’t know what to get yet

Well, if we’re talking about longed-for Mini items, my wish list starts with new EYEWEAR (I am SO tired of the round glasses and the square glasses; hasn’t Pogo seen some of the fantastic frames available…don’t they know glasses are skinny these days?); FACES (we haven’t had a new face release for a long time; I really would like some new looks and new expressions); and CATS (There are 60 dogs, but only 34 cats).
Also, Yahoo’s FREE avatars not only offer a far greater selection, but they let you put multiple pets and objects on the same side; Pogo needs to manage Mini layers a bit more effectively, particularly since they charge actual MONEY for so many of the items.

On Lottso Express, is anybody having the problem where if you are out of balls, and the cards count up and put you over the goal where it completes the game w/o receiving the 30 new balls? It has happened a few times, and it affects my goal of being the high score champ lol 🙂

Just a quick question regarding lottso Express. I played it fine for the first 2 days however last night and today i play a game or 2 and I freeze completly,no mouse nothing!! I deleted all the temp files,cleared the cache etc but i am still freezing.Also when i do freeze completly i cannot get out of the site using control,alt,delete.Any wisdom would be great !!

It’s me, the Kat who admitted she HATES Lottso! ROFL But I REALLY LIKE the new one!! 🙂 Anyone venture a guess as to why I like it??? AH, c’mon! Don’t you remember WHY I HATED the regular Lottso!??? THE TIMER!! Made me so nervous to play that game I almost had to take “drugs” to calm myself down after a session! lol lol
But this new Lottso Express is MY kind of game. I can play at my own pace and not worry about the STUPID BUZZER freaking me out!! ROFL LOVE this new version! Will keep playing with NO fear of the buzzer or other players razzing me 🙂
So YES, I’m pleased that I can finally join the ranks of Pogonians who love their Lottso, just not the same version, hahahaha But we don’t have to explain that, do we? NAH!!
I did enjoy and buy several of the new releases from the Mini Mall. Don’t have any complaints from me, oh, except for one thing and it’s not about the new stuff. I’d like to know WHY Pogo thinks everyone is a tad overweight or pregnant??? Does anyone know the answer to that???
Check out the clothes there…all the “outfits” look like they belong on a chubby tourist or do belong on an expectant mother. Now I realize there are many body types— But what about us that are a bit smaller, ya know, petite? We need clothes too!! Or even “Normal” sized people?

Just like many others, I try to dress up my Mini look a bit like me, and the “outfits” just don’t cut it!! The men’s clothes are much more varied for body types…why can’t the women’s be??

Loving my weather here in beautiful Kentucky…finally a bit of Spring has shown up, love that!! Hubby is back from being away for two whole weeks and I’m now happy as a clam, lol I’ve got a Lottso I can play and my hubby back home. Who in the world could ask for anything more?? Except for smaller clothes in the MiniMall, ROFL

I found myself really liking lottso express, potty breaks dont seem quite as rushed now lol..
However I had one fault in a room in particular…Because its easier to stop and chat now several people were doing so….mostly about the game, how to get the mega lottso’s or ideas how to rank faster.
A league was in the room and got really vocal that the non-leaguers who were chatting wouldnt hold chat to stop the room from scrolling so fast for her to get token counts?
Listen I dont belong in a league and dont fault anyone that does….but we to are pogo members and, not all of us feel we have to answer to the league rules persay….As long as no one was cursing, or being rude, why should all the others hold conversations repeatedly because a league is in a competiton…
One gentleman finally just got upset, and started typing in caps, because her attitude was since she registered that particular room, they thought they “OWNED” the room….
Needless to say I just closed chat and finished my game…
I think we should all find some kind of common ground….while in the room…no one…nonleague, or leaguer is any different than anyone else…we paid for our accounts to !!
With that said Lura, your yoga mini even has me feeling relaxed and calm…

Mike – I submitted that bug Tuesday for them to take a look at.
Karen – An alternative to Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task manager to kill a program is Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Though I have had times where a program completely freezes up and I have to kill my computer and reboot. I couldn’t offer any more insight than that, sorry.
It’s finally cooled down here (Los Angeles). 100 on Monday was way too hot for spring. Now it’s only supposed to get up to about 70 for the next few days, which will be nice.

I love playing the new Lottso Express but I’m getting frustrated when a ball gets ‘stuck’ over a hole and I can’t see what number is actually needed underneath it. It’s happened to me a few times and it doesn’t ever clear itself, I have to close out of the game and restart it. Yesterday I actually had a second ball get stuck. Anyone have any idea what’s causing this so that I can try to avoid it in the future?

The thing I did like about the minis this week is that they are definitely ‘outside the box’. The downside to this is that they’re very specific, and to my mind not very interchangeable with unrelated backgrounds or goodies. I got all the token items like I usually do, but this is the first time in along time where I didn’t hand over gems for everything. I’m going to have to think about that one.
Kat F. – I smiled over your comments about the minis being either preggers or overweight. There’s a group on another board that I frequent where they complain how the minis are too skinning and there aren’t any plump ladies in truly fashionable clothes. Amazing how the same image can mean something different to us.
Lura – Thanks for the sneak peak of the upcoming hairstyles. It’ll be great to add those to my wardrobe.
Lottso Express has been a nice addition. All my reasons have pretty much be addressed by others so I won’t repeat them.
Lottso Express has been a nice change of pace.

I love Lottso Express, play it way too much! As far as the new mini items, I’ve been dissapointed in them the past 2 releases. Nothing new for women’s clothing which is DESPARATELY needed! The men have so much more to choose from, and they are more stylish. Wish Pogo would consider putting the items in the women’s closet for those women who wish to purchse items like the jammi bottoms, cargo pants, and modern t-shirts. Thanks Lura for the peek at the new hairdoo’s. I’ll be getting one myself, time for a change!

Just a note about leagues in game rooms. I am an administrator for a wonderful league. We never ever ask anyone to hold chat during our tournaments. If people are chatting too much for me to get tokens i simple mute them long enough to get token counts then unmute them.
I think it is totally rude for anyone to tell others to hold chat in a game room. There is really no excuse for it.
So sorry some leagues feel they should boss others around in a room just because it is registered to them. Just be assured not all leagues are that way.

Lura: You stated that you only posted the brown haired version of the hairdos. Did you mean that these are the only hairdos to be released and you just posted them in the brown shade (and not all available colors), or are there other styles that were in other colors that you didn’t post. I apologize if that is confusing.

Robo-blender 5000. I love it because it goes great with one of my backgrounds. Then it just disappeared one day from my Goodies. Is there any way to get it back?

Gloria….I have been in popular rooms where many friends have fun playing together, only to have a tourney come in and, most of the time in a polite way, literally take over the room. It has happened many times, to the point when I see a tourney coming in, I leave. Regular members can’t get in, and even chat stops because the tourney’s are CONSTANTLY talking and totally taking over the chat. It isn’t that easy to just mute all in the tourney, as the host usually suggests…I have tried that. If my friends don’t, they still can’t see when I chat, and it makes me feel like I am segregating myself from the room as well. It is extremely frustrating to all others in the room when a tourney enters.
PLEASE, please, tell me WHY tourneys refuse to play in tourney-only rooms. I know they have some. Why must they play in regular rooms? And if the excuse is that there aren’t enough tourney-only rooms, I am SURE that if tourneys demanded them, pogo would have enough rooms.

I love the new Lottso! Express. It’s fun and just like ev1 else, I like the no timer! I’m having the same issue as Jillian with a ball getting “stuck” And it’s usually always the same hole. I, also, catch myself sitting and waiting for the balls to magically appear sometimes LOL
As for the Hangman badge, a site I use is http://www.wordplays.com. They have a crossword helper that works well. It can be a little tricky to use but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. (The scrabble helper on this on this site awesome too!! As are some other tools.) Another site is http://www.oneacross.com/crosswords/ is also easy…don’t worry about the clue part, just enter in the letters & blanks.
Some of the mini items on this week were great. I got the meditation items, the parachuting stuff and the present. The others I wasn’t all that into. The mom stuff I thought was bland.

Jennifer, Gloria and Faith. I have to agree with the Tourney People thinking they can take over a room and most times they do. I love when they tell you that the room is registered to them, well it is with Case’s Ladders, but not with Pogo. And just because it is registered with Case’s, still doesn’t mean that other Leagues cannot play in that room.
And so you know, anyone can get a Tourney Host badge. Write to Pogo through the Help Section and tell them you and your friends are going to form a Tourney and name a specific game, and within a couple of days you will get a note back from Pogo and will have your very own Tourney Host Badge. I know of at least 50 or more people that have them that have never had or played in a Case’s Ladder league, but they do have competitions between friends, so they are considered a League.
As to LE, I love it and have gotten to Rank 35 (I have no life outside of Pogo lol). I like the feature that if you click for a Refill and you have balls that will play, it pops up and tells you that you have more plays. Great feature and WTG Pogo on this new game. While it does have some bugs, and stalls or freezes, it is the Java that it is eating up.

Since I mainly play in Members Only rooms, I dont’ understand why Tourneys can’t take their game chat to Private Chat? Wouldn’t that help everyone involved? Non Leaguers can keep the chat in the regular room, and Leagures can control the chat as needed in private chat. Just my thought about the controlling chat debate.

Thanks Lura for the answers of Hangman Jinks, I wish you give it a few days earlyer. I needed the badge to make 5 games without any wrong guesses, I got it, but the last word “Mangosteen” was not easy to guess/find. So I phoned my girlfriends and look in Google and yess there it was 😉
Now I have this link and the other links and for me its a very good solution to solve some games.
I’m from the Netherlands and I like the wordgames, but its not so easy for me. I have to use a lot of times my dictionairy and a lot of words you can’t find in it.
So I’m so happy with this wonderfull site and so greatfull 😉

New Mini Items – Too many cost gems – not enough for tokens. (just one penny pincher’s opinion)
Kat F. – Fat mini body shapes – I suspect that they are “stretched” if you have a wide monitor. If you have a narrow monitor they will look skinnier. But I don’t know for sure.
Jigsaw Detective – Has anyone had problems with it? In the past I thought it took about 30 puzzles on medium difficulty to finish a case. I’ve played almost 50 and I’m only about 2/3’s done. I have completely given up on Pogo Support! or lack thereof.

Hi All…just wanted to thank GrMaLois for her perspective, but don’t think it’s so. Mostly because the “skinny” mini items not only appear “skinny” on the monitor I have now but the one I had before was smaller and they appeared the same. 🙁
PLEASE DON’T TAKE OFFENSE ANYONE!!!! Was just wishing for more and varied body- type clothing—THAT’S ALL!!! It just seems that Pogo doesn’t recognize the BEAUTIFUL BODY SHAPES AND SIZES THAT WOMEN COME IN. 🙁 In the Mini Mall, it seems there are only THREE body shapes!! Someone needs to enlighten the clothing developers for the art department!
To Pogo, either woman are “not so mini”–JUST LIKE THE DESCRIPTION READS!! Or they are “preggers”–JUST LIKE THE DESCRIPTION READS!!! OR, there is the woman who can wear the bathing suits and apparel……
TO PROVE MY POINT, CHECK OUT THE BATHING SUITS AND FORMAL BEACH ATTIRE– WHERE ARE THE NOT SO MINIS?? Only skinny mini clothing there 🙁
This isn’t right!! There should be clothing for ALL. Give everyone something to wear!!

Well, thanks for listening to my rant, lol Guess I just resent being categorized as small all my life just as much as someone a little larger may resent being categorized too.
In closing I just want to say—EQUAL CLOTHING FOR ALL WOMEN!!

Carrie – I’ve tried playing a little trial and error and I think I might have stumbled upon the reason the balls get ‘stuck’ for some people and not everyone. I’ve played a few sessions now where no balls get stuck, and that’s by making sure I never click on the balls in the upper rack to highlight where they fit on the cards. Try it out for yourself… it’s sure saved me from a lot of frustration.
