Happy Weekend Everyone!
I can’t believe Pogo gave us so much to do this week! On top of a personal challenge marathon, we’ve got the special weekend challenge. Phew! Aren’t we supposed to be putting the finishing touches on our Halloween costumes and getting ready to go trick-or-treattweeting? How are you doing with getting it all done?
Speaking of putting on costumes, let’s talk about our Minis and earning Mini Awards! Do you have all the Mini Awards available? Do you play a game just to get a Mini Award item? Do you go after the Mini Awards like you do badges? Do you use them in your Mini after you have won them?
I hope you have a great, safe Halloween weekend and I hope we’ll see you in the comments!

The “Clue hidden object game” that Dan F. mentioned in his interview looks like it’ll be Pogo’s very own version of Clue: Secrets and Spies, a board game that Hasbro is currently marketing. In this spy-themed version of Clue, you are one of a team of international spies hired to travel to various locations around the world to stop Agent Black. It appears the game-play of this board game may be similar to the original clue, just with a spy theme and worldwide setting. If you’re interested, check out the Clue: Secrets and Spies board game from Hasbro, which implements text messaging (Pogo’s version probably won’t do this, but who knows). It’ll be interesting to see how Pogo turns all of this into a hidden object game for their site.
Can you prove yourself as the world’s ultimate spy? Agent Black – CLUE’s most notorious spy – is plotting, and it’s up to you to stop him! Go undercover as an international agent to foil his schemes by completing missions and attending secret meetings. Scan with your spy light to uncover a secret, or check your cell phone for a Spy Text that could help or hinder your game. Your assignments will take you all over the world, so stay ahead of the other agents and earn the title of Ultimate Spy!
We’re working to get more details on this game, so keep an eye on BadgeHungry for the latest news.

This is the last week that Pogo is offering free tokens in their Tips with Tokens Wednesdays. You’ll get 1010 tokens the first time you play each of 10 games.
If the above-linked page isn’t working for you, use these direct links to the games that will give you 1010 free tokens each:
Trivial Pursuit Daily 20
Backgammon
Hearts
Stack’em
Lottso! Express
Euchre
Chess
Tumble Bees
Checkers
Payday FreeCell
If you’re not receiving your free tokens, check out this FAQ from Pogo, you may have to play through one whole game to be awarded your tokens no matter what the pop-up window says. (We have yet to hear of anyone who has had to play through a game to receive their tokens, this is probably just another case of Pogo’s customer support being wrong again.)
Even though the offer states “Tokens are awarded once”, you can get them each week. The pop-up windows that show you token awards also gives you a tip on how to play the game. Enjoy!

Puck’s Peak is currently in the testing phase and we are starting to receive tons and tons of information on this unique, new game!

Puck’s Peak is a tower-building game with unlockable characters and levels where your goal is to stack blocks of different shapes and sizes to certain heights (500m, 1000m, et cetera). Each time a block falls, you earn a strike — so many strikes and you have to start over! Once you build a pile of blocks to the required height, it must stay standing for 3 seconds.

This week’s Letters to the Editor let out a little surprise: Stratego may be coming to Pogo in the future. Undoubtedly this would be under the same Hasbro agreement that’s already brought us Scrabble, Monopoly, Yahtzee, Boggle, and Battleship; and will bring us Risk and a Clue hidden object game soon.
And while we’re on the topic of games that may be coming soon: there’s currently a rumor floating around that Uno may be in the works, but we have no evidence to back that up (probably a rumor based on community desire, rather than Pogo actually ever mentioning it).
Do you think Stratego is a good choice for Pogo’s current player base? What other Hasbro games would you like to see Pogo create?

Happy Weekend Everyone!
This has been a ridiculously busy week for Pogo, it seems like every time I blinked they were adding something new to the site! (Battleship, forums, Facebook, oh my!) There were a ton of new posts added this week, so if you haven’t been keeping up with the site, make sure to scroll all the way down the page and check out previous entries for anything you may have missed. As usual there are some lively and fantastic discussions going on down there.
Mike wrote in this morning to ask if I knew of a policy for Pogo adding new ranks and badges to pre-existing games. After all, it’d be a great way to get players back into playing some of the great older games that Pogo built its reputation on (and it seems to have worked for Canasta, Tri-Peaks Solitaire, and that got more ranks and badges before). At this point, I’d assume Pogo is really focused on their Hasbro partnership and producing new games, but there’s always a possibility they’d revisit an older game with new badges and ranks.
What current Pogo games would you like to see have more ranks and badges?
As usual, if you don’t feel like answering the question, or if you just feel like talking about something else — go ahead. The weekend open thread is the place where you can leave comments, questions, or anything that didn’t fit elsewhere this week.
See you in the comments!

Hey forum fans, Pogo’s now got forums of their own! They’ve just announced them, so there isn’t much activity YET, but we suspect things will pick up in a few days (or hours!).
It’ll be interesting to see how these forums turn out, especially over time after the novelty wears off. Just a few weeks ago, we discussed the possibility of Pogo adding forums in our weekend open thread. Do you all still feel the same way?
What do you think of this? Chime in with your comments below.
