Rank progress in Makeover Madness is based on your number of customers served.

To maximize your rank progress, you should continually buy the Robot Receptionist and play at the maximum level you can handle and still make enough tips to constantly have the Robot Receptionist working for you.

• When doing a badge for a specific color hairdo just keep hitting new game until you get a good selection of that color hair available.
• When doing a badge where you have to give a bone to a dog just give them to every dog that comes in. You will not get the extra tokens available for giving a bone to a barking dog, but will complete the badge faster.
• When doing a badge where you need to serve a certain number of customers just play on the level you are comfortable with. On easy you serve 72 customers a week and can be relaxed while you do it.
• When doing a badge where you need to make a certain amount of tips, just play on a level where you are comfortable and able to serve everyone quickly. You can make between $1,000 and $1,300 per day on easy.
• For the Bonus Show: the 1st place hairdo always comes across the screen 10 times, so once you see a particular hairdo 10 times you can stop paying attention. The 2nd place hairdo comes across the screen 9 times, and the 3rd place hairdo comes across the screen 8 times.
