Mahjong Safari Ranks and Badges

In Mahjong Safari, your goal is to clear the puzzle by matching identical tiles. Matching tiles must be connected by a line that has up to two turns.

You match tiles by clicking on one, and then clicking on the other. You’ll see the connecting line appear automatically in the empty spaces of the puzzle. The line can only go on empty spaces.

Mahjong Safari Tips & Hints

Rank progress in Mahjong Safari is based on matching the colorful animal tiles that where half of an animal appear on two different tiles. As you rank up, you’ll receive access to new tiles which you can switch into your set. It’s best to use the tiles that have bright colors so that they are easier to see.

Playing on hard is best for ranking, but you may find you prefer medium or easy. On hard, there are certain puzzles that are very easy, like “5 or S” and “Thick Spiral”. Others are nearly impossible to get started, like “Hourglass” or “Abstract Art 1″. You can always press new game and scroll through the puzzles until you get one of the easy ones.

You can also press “New Game” after you remove all of the tiles associated with completing your safari for rank progress. You wont get a JP spin, but you’ll rank up faster.

Try different levels, it’s been rumored that medium level is actually easier than easy.
You can customize the tiles that you see in the puzzle. Click on the tile box in the upper left. There are also interesting animal facts included!
Use the Long Line powerup to make long matches, increasing your score, and helping to avoid or delay the need to use a Shuffle.
