Golf Solitaire is a multi-player solitaire game, and yes, we know that’s a bit of an oxymoron. The object of the game is to remove as many cards as you can from the playing field. And how do you do that? Easy! You just need to click on a card that’s one higher or one lower than whatever card is in your discard pile. So, for example, if you’ve got a 3 in your discard pile, you could remove either a 2 or a 4 from the playing field.

As you remove cards from the playing field, they move down into your discard pile, which gives you new cards to play with – see how big of a streak you can get! Out of moves? No problem, just click on the draw pile to draw another card. (If you’ve ever played Tri-Peaks Solitaire, it’s pretty similar.)

Instead of keep moving your mouse to the pile to click the next card, just right click anywhere on the game screen and it will flip the next card for you.

Rank Progress in Golf Solitaire is based on the number of Hazard cards “cleared”. Hazards are the cards that have a little cartoon on them and the upper left number is red. This does not mean that you have to play a “Golden Shot” card and clear it to get rank progress. You just have to click on the Hazard card to remove it from the play area.

If you are most concerned with ranking up, you should generally aim towards the piles or areas that have the Hazards, even if it means you don’t get a good score. Abandon a pile of cards if you see that they all are non-hazard cards.

Always complete the bonus round if you have time. Sometimes you’ll be awarded extra “Golden Shot” cards or even a Wild card.

If you are trying for the “Flawless Victory!” badge, it is best to play in a room by yourself. That way, you can select the “Icicle Cliffs” course as often as possible. That course offers the best possibility to play five perfect holes.
