Sneak Peek: Clue: Acropolis Now

Here’s a sneak peek at the next Clue episode: Acropolis Now. It’ll have three new cities: Chicago, Athens, and Dublin (thanks Booboo!). It will cost 20 gems for Club Pogo members and 40 gems for regular members.

Journey into the heart of darkness as a sinister plot leads you across the globe from the bustling streets of Dublin to the ancient ruins of Athens. Can you discover the secret to Project Hades?

We don’t have a release date yet. (July? August?) The game’s developer has stated that they plan to release a new episode each month, and one out of every three releases will be free for Club players.

First Look: Pogo Philler Screenshots

Pogo Philler is in the testing stages and we’ve been given some screenshots to share with you!

Our super-sleuths Frank, Caren, and badlokii were right: this is just like Filler. The object of Pogo’s Philler is to fill balloons of different shapes. You click and hold the left mouse button to inflate a balloon; if it touches an alien while it’s growing, it will pop. The larger your balloon is, the more points you get toward filling your score bar.

As you rank up, you will earn different types of balloons to add to your arsenal. It appears you’ll be able to choose five.

Think of it as Poppit! in reverse: instead of popping balloons, you’re going to be making them as large as you possibly can. Revenge of the popped, indeed.

Pogo is developing a new premium badge album entitled “Easy as Pie”. This album’s requirements are still being put together, but the badges and chat icons are done. When it’s released, it’ll have ten challenges and badges, plus the usual album completion badge. It will cost $5.99, or 86 gems. We expect this to be one of two albums Pogo will release in April, so stay tuned here for more information on this and the other album as it’s available.

Cluedo/Clue Secrets and Spies Coming Soon

This just in from Pogo UK: Cluedo Secrets and Spies is coming soon! (For those of you who don’t know, North America knows the game as “Clue”, but the rest of the world calls it “Cluedo”.) On Pogo, Clue/Cluedo will be a hidden object game. There’s a short news article that explains the game’s mechanics and the episode-purchase system. We discussed this a little in the last weekend open thread, but now Pogo has confirmed it:

“Enjoy the first episode of this fantastic game completely free, then purchase additional episodes from the CLUEDO Secrets & Spies Episode Store using Pogo Gems! Club Pogo members will benefit from additional free episodes AND get a hefty discount on additional episodes purchased.”

Right now it looks like the additional episodes will be 20 gems for Club Pogo members, but 40 gems for everyone else. This may change before release, of course.

The game is being referred to in some places on Pogo’s development servers as Pogo Colorgatchi or “Colorgotchi”, but it appears the final name will be Flower Daze (as the Colorgatchi reference may just be an internal development name, like Crazy Cakes was “Plate Spinner” for example).
