As a token of appreciation for those of you who donated to the American Red Cross Haitian Relief Effort by getting an American Red Cross T-Shirt in the Mini Mall, we have a surprise for you! We’ve added a little something to your Mini Closet! Look under “Goodies” and then choose the “My Items” tab. There, you should see your Candles for Haiti.
And here’s more information from the Pogo Help files, explaining that the shirt didn’t “turn into” a new item as originally planned, but instead we get both! Thank you Red Cross and Pogo!
If you purchased a Red Cross T-Shirt for Haitian Relief, you might be aware that due to licensing issues with the Red Cross logo, the T-Shirts were going to ‘turn into’ a special item after February 23rd.
Good news! The Red Cross allowed Pogo to keep the T-Shirts as they are, so you won’t be losing your Red Cross tee for your mini! In addition, we sent all those who purchased a Red Cross T-Shirt a ‘thank you’ item.
If you look in your Mini Mall closet, under Goodies, you should see special Haiti Candles as a thank you for your generous donation (see example below). You now get to keep the shirt and receive a thank you item.

Pogo is incredibly excited to provide our players with NBA Mini items! Dress your Mini up with jerseys and shorts from your favorite team! Check out our NBA themed backgrounds!
We’ve been working with the NBA to bring you these fabulous items. Now you can celebrate your love of the game! Check out NBA Central in the Mini Mall!
These items are a lot more expensive than usual — and all cost gems, not tokens. You can buy either the jersey/shorts set for 30 gems, or the ball/logo set for 36 gems, or save 8 gems on the bundle for 58 gems. The current thought is that they had to pay royalties to the NBA to use the team jerseys and whatnot so these items are a little more than the usual for-gem items.

Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year mini items have come to the Mini Mall. Today Pogo released almost two pages of new items for these upcoming holidays, plus some pretty high-tech wheelchairs. (And a hoverchair!) Be sure to check out the artwork for the Chinese New Year items, it’s really great.
And don’t forget that the American Red Cross T-Shirts for Haitian Relief will be around until the end of February and the dollar amount of the gems you spend will be donated to the relief efforts. More information is available here.

You can purchase any of three special Red Cross t-shirts for your mini with gems and corresponding dollar amounts will be donated to Haiti Earthquake Relief. You can donate 50, 170 or 350 gems ($3, $10, $20) (or all three!), which will go directly to the Red Cross Haitian Relief and Development Fund. That’s right– 100% of the donations will go to Haiti Earthquake Relief! Want to donate more? Pogo will match your donation dollar for dollar to the Red Cross up to a guaranteed maximum of $20,000! When donating on the Red Cross website, click on the “Donate Now” button, choose the “Haiti Relief and Development” option.
Thanks widow and Kathy for letting us know about this way to support those who suffered the devastating effects of the earthquakes in Haiti.

You can repeat this as many times as you like; it will still only be 32 gems per 3, no matter how many batches of 3 you buy.” Thanks Bill! Pogo’s given us a gift today in the form of Gifting Services! We’re now able to give other players items for their minis, Mix-n-Match badges, and Premium Badge Albums.
Update: If you’re a privacy nut but your profile is still public, you’ll want to make sure you adjust your Gift Settings (which can be found by going to the “My Gifts” link on your home page, then choosing “Gift Settings” from the left sidebar). If you were to receive a gift and open it, by default the item, the sender’s name, and the message they included with the gift would be displayed on your profile to whoever has rights to see it. Make sure to check the boxes for “Keep sender names private” and “Keep messages private” to stop that from happening.
In addition, we got a release full of holiday items today as well! There’s just over a page full of new backgrounds, goodies, and clothing for our minis!
Update 11/19: they’ve added 3 more items to this release, all token items. Hooray! Thanks MomsBassetHound for letting us know about today’s mini Mini release!
And last, but not least, they’ve put up a free token offer (which we’ll also add to our Free Tokens page) to celebrate gift-giving!
