The Road to Happiness Premium Badge Album was released last night. (Thanks @doctorx316 for sending in the tip while we were snoozing!) According to Pogo, this album is all about traveling the open road: “Tou love the open road. You love the wind in your hair and the surprises that wait for you around the next bend. Desert or mountains, near or far, these badges celebrate your spirit of adventure!” This one will cost you $5.99 (or 86 gems). Take a look at the badges:

Released: May 2009 Mix-n-Match

Today Pogo released the May 2009 Mix-n-Match badges and challenges. They each cost 16 gems.

There are two notable differences with this set than when we first gave you a sneak peek:

First, the Mother’s Day Limited Edition badge was not released today. We expect it to be released on Tuesday, so it’ll be out in time for Mother’s Day which is the following Sunday. For more information on it and to see the badge itself, check out the end of the sneak peek post from the beginning of this month.

Second, the requirement for the Monopoly Slots M-n-M has changed. Originally it was Pass GO 3 times in 3 days!, which is not impossible but pretty time consuming at the rate the dice come off the spinners. We think you might get a good laugh out of the new requirement below.

Pogo’s creating another Premium Badge Album called “Play to Win”. It’ll have ten challenges and badges, and one album completion badge. We don’t have specifics on the challenges yet, but from the looks of the animated badges (which all have a competitive sports theme), they’ll be in Sudoku Puzzle Blast, Yahtzee Party, Crazy Cakes, Bingo Luau, Payday FreeCell, Trivial Pursuit Daily 20, Sock Hop Slots, and two more we haven’t figured out yet (maybe Mahjong Safari and Penguin Blocks)! We’ll make a more formal post when we have the final details.

Exercise-themed Premium Album Coming Soon

Pogo’s created some great exercise-themed, animated badges for a new Premium Album coming soon. Each badge features a Pogo character doing some type of workout. There’s Tex Carter from Tri-Peaks on an exercise bike, Payday Freecell’s King on a mini-trampoline, a Squelchie jumping out of his fishbowl to hit a punching bag, the Word Whomp gopher on a treadmill, and Boogie Bear from Tumble Bees lifting weights. That’s five badges and challenges for this upcoming album so far. We’ll keep you posted as we hear of a name and what these games’ challenges will entail.
