Today Pogo released the May 2009 Mix-n-Match badges and challenges. They each cost 16 gems.

There are two notable differences with this set than when we first gave you a sneak peek:

First, the Mother’s Day Limited Edition badge was not released today. We expect it to be released on Tuesday, so it’ll be out in time for Mother’s Day which is the following Sunday. For more information on it and to see the badge itself, check out the end of the sneak peek post from the beginning of this month.

Second, the requirement for the Monopoly Slots M-n-M has changed. Originally it was Pass GO 3 times in 3 days!, which is not impossible but pretty time consuming at the rate the dice come off the spinners. We think you might get a good laugh out of the new requirement below.

A little while ago we told you about this premium badge album in the works, and now we have more details! When it’s released, the Pogo Cookbook premium badge album will have 10 challenges (and an album completion badge) and it will cost you $5.99. As you can see from the album icon to the right, the cute chef’s hat theme continues throughout the graphics in the album.

Great news! According to both the US and UK Letters to the Editor this week, Monopoly Slots’ game rank progress is under review. (Hooray, we almost changed its name in all of our posts to Monpoly Slowts. Har har!) After probably receiving thousands of letters (some of which are posted on the US Letters to the Editor and the UK Letters too) , the Editor(s) have responded with:

US:

Thanks for writing! We are doing a lot of testing and investigation right now in regards to the frequency of the dice rolls. Once we get the results, we’ll determine whether or not we’ll update the dice frequency. Hope that helps!

UK:

Thanks to you and all of the other players who have written in with similar comments on MONOPOLY SLOTS. Progress around the board in this game is being very seriously reviewed currently. We will of course keep you posted on any tweaks made to MONOPOLY SLOTS.

We don’t see how they could possibly NOT update the dice frequency in this game, but who knows if the game will be re-tooled or not, or how long it’ll take. Of course, we’re all still waiting for Keno Pop to get more ranks too, so take this news with a grain of Pogo salt.

Monpoly Slots is here! Add the game to your favorites and start playing now. The game has 50 ranks, and 5 badges at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50. So far, we’ve been playing a few minutes and suspect the payouts are pretty decent (5,000 tokens for 5 minutes isn’t bad, but probably pretty lucky too).

As with any new Pogo release, you’ll be able to add Monopoly Slots to your favorites in the morning and play from there.
